The Vintage Srinagar at Dal Lake

+ * The location is right across Dal Lake Ghat #1 and #2 at the start of Dal Lake. Though near congested road, it was easier to access Dal Lake for walk. Hotels near Ghat #10 might have been better choice. * Complimentary water bottles in the room though lack of small refrigerator in the room.

- * The rooftop restaurant is on 4th floor so the rooms on 3rd floor gets noise from upstairs restaurant, for example table and chairs being moved as well as thumping music noise until late in the evening. This prevented us from getting good night sleep. * Though there is warning about very hot water for bum wash, the water in shower also suddenly turns very hot and very cold during the shower. Had to be careful while taking shower to avoid burns. * The front desk staff could be. more friendly when responding to questions and providing guidance on nearby locations. * The housekeeping staff opens and leaves the bathroom window open that allows the fumes and smells to enter the room from nearby traffic as hotel is on congested road. * Upstairs restaurant charges for bottled water separately even for staying hotel guests so had to carry bottled water from room whenever we went to upstairs restaurant.

- Hospitality has to go a long way. Considering a 6yr as an addition and charging Rs1000/day is absurd. Try to accommodate your guests. You are already charging a good bit of amount for the stay. No ways a 4 star hotel experience.

- Taxi voor een excursie geboekt die de gehele dag zou duren. Na 5 uurtje terug gekomen. En mochten de taxi niet gebruiken voor bezoek naar de stad . Terug is terug.

+ The staff is friendly , and they ko respond quickly if any technical issues ! Can be assumed as a good budget 3 star hotel !

- Breakfast was normal , nothing much to talk about ! The room was old and needs renovation, door lock was not working and had to ask to get fixed which they did ! Water pressure for the flush was low & had to ask to get fixed and was. Done ! There was frequent power disruption in the room ! Internet wifi was slow ! Over all not worth to stay again ! The hotel rooms need renovation and for to be called luxury !

+ Es un hotel muy limpio y ordenado con instalaciones modernas. El personal también atiende bien, dentro de lo que uno podría esperar. Además, también las habitaciones son cómodas y la comida es buena, pese a las pocas opciones.

- No es recomendable para extranjeros o personas no habituadas a los usos o costumbres locales. Piden información personal infringiendo el RGPD y tampoco hay claridad de las reglas de forma previa. Es mejor optar por una cadena internacional o cadenas locales como el Taj o Lalit. Las instalaciones son limpias y ordenadas, pero no tinen muchos servicios aparte, como gimnasio, picina o spa.

- Plumbing in the washrooms needs to be checked. Hot and cold water combination and the flow of the water needs to be checked. I was in room no. 203

+ Location and the friendly staff. The restaurant food was amazing. The decor was tastefully done and impeccable linen and toiletries. Welcome kahwa on arrival was a wonderful gesture.

- The bathroom fittings were a bit wobbly, and being on the 3rd floor, the midnight sound of furniture being pulled around on the roof top restaurant was bit of an annoyance. Pretty minor things, though, on an overall very pleasant place. I

+ The view of the lake from the room and the restaurant is really nice. The restaurant is on the fourth floor, is spacious with inside and outside dining

+ Honest review - I chose this property after a lot of research. What i liked was that the property is right in front of dal lake and has modern amenities and services. The food is really good (had veg dinner and breakfast buffet). Maybe not value for money since it's a little pricey, but considering the options, it's a great place to stay. The staff was prompt and the services deserve appreciation.

+ The food was excellent, staff were very good and very friendly. Our waiter Faroz was very attentive and helpful. Lovely view of the lake from the restaurant, very clean and very quiet room.

- The stay was perfect - the hotel was actually better in person than the pictures on the website.
