Flore Hostel

This place is quite pretty, and the owners as well as staff are really lovely. Breakfast is nice, though including a coffee would be fair for the price of the stay. It is insanely overpriced for what it is. The use of the word boutique is not quite enough to justify the price. Beds are stacked three-bunks high to maximize occupancy. I was really disappointed with my stay. All of my cash was stolen from my locker, and when I went to reception, I was told nothing could be done, which made me feel very unsafe. I also used the laundry service after hiking Acatenango, and my clothes came back still smelling of sweat. I was told I wasn’t the first to complain and I also couldn’t get my money back for the laundry, so I don’t recommend using it. A friend staying in another room also experienced bed bugs.

Lovely people and staff, but the place is full of cockroaches, especially the kitchen, but I did see a few in my room too. The blankets smells like the hostel cat.

Nice hostel, but please do something about ventilation in the dorms. The air quality was terrible. Breakfast was realy small and without coffe/tea.

El hostel está en general lindo y limpio. La habitación 1, sale directo a la recepción y cafetería por lo que no tiene privacidad, además desde las 6:30 am ya se escucha el movimiento, las camas suenan mucho durante la noche. En el baño no tienen papel para secarse, solo una toalla colgada para compartir lo cual no es higiénico. El desayuno es muy básico y se entiende porque la idea es que compres en la cafetería.

The 3-story bunk beds feel a bit dangerous and there’s no social vibe. No kitchen but they’ll store your food in the fridge if needed. The breakfast is simple but good! A good option for a couple night rest/reset after hiking

Clean and pretty - more of a hotel atmosphere than hostel. Triple bunk beds are extremely high - make sure to ask for a lower one if you don’t like heights. Breakfast was nice.

A Lot of Street noise! Until midnight and starting again at 5a. As weak as a church bell that rang loud again 3 separate times between 555 and 625 . Staff OSS Great!! Clean! Small place for the amount of people. Really packed in!! Bunks were ok. Just ok. I goes I’ve been fortunate in Guatemala staying at some excellent places on the countryside, I expected more for a city hostel. But some great spots in the neighborhood for and beverage. Nice simple breakfast in the morning.

Super clean, really nice hostel. 3 level beds are not everyone’s cup of tea and not much space for bags (small lockers). Reception team all very helpful, apart from one instance where we tried to extend our stay, confirmed our price, and when asked to pay in advance we were told a different amount to what we’d been told no more than 2 hours before. Safe to say we cancelled as the price increase was large. Staff member refused to admit to telling us a different price earlier that evening.

Flore is a great little hostel for backpackers looking for a more relaxed stay while planning their hikes or doing a bit of trip admin! Great coffee too!

It’s a very nice hostel with a fantastic vibe, the only bad thing is that it was very close to a church, so we got woken up by the bells every morning, but It didn’t bother us so much. Overall it’s a very nice hostel with amazing staff☺️

Bit expensive but worth it in my opinion. Lovely, helpful staff. Lots of food spots around but hostel offers yummy food too (cafe style🥐!) Stored our bags for free when we did Acatenango. Can also book the tour through the hostel which was good! Top bunk was a bit meh as 3 bed bunks but they were very comfortable when up there

Great little hostel. Well located, 10 min walk from city centre. Has a coffee shop attached and also sells drinks. Nice little common area and terrace, but doesn’t have a kitchen. Would recommend. The third level beds are a bit scary, you really have to climb up to get to them. Also hard to get there with your belongings for the night. Showers have great temperature but some of the shelf’s are detaching. Same with some of the bed outlets, the charger would slip out and make a very loud...

Large beds, but not the best matresses. Super helpful and friendly staff, nice breakfast. My dorm was next to the cafe so not the best place to sleep in.

Flore Hostel est un super point de base pour explorer Antigua, bien localisé avec un service de qualité, et des bons équipements. Les gens sont sympathiques. Les espaces communs sont conviviaux avec un rooftop agréable. La proximité avec le centre ville et de bons restaurants est un vrai plus.

Super nice hostel! Defo a good one to chill at if ur doing lots of the local hikes. Not very social, but enjoyed the quiet space!

Really nice for travelers who prefer more laid back and quieter stays. Staff is really kind and knowledgeable. Location is really central to the city so everything is within walking distance!

Sehr schönes Hostel, sehr sauber, leider nicht sehr social. Die Terasse hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Das dazugehörige Restaurant fand ich ziemlich teuer. Frühstück sehr lecker aber kein Kaffee inklusive, dieser kostet 200Q, fand ich zu viel.

Had a really good stay at Flore Hostel in Antigua. Everything was solid—the bed was especially comfortable and quite large. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the facilities were all good. The café was a nice bonus too, with good coffee and a decent protein shake. Breakfast was OK overall, though the takeaway breakfast for my hike was pretty useless (just a cream cheese panini and a banana). Location is fine—about a 10-minute walk from the main square. 1. This is a small well designed hostal, feels cozy and is not chaotic. The fact that is not a huge hostal means people/staff interact makes more effort to interact. 2. Staff is super friendly, good service and provide support to make a better stay (from reception to the security guy). 3. Great breakfast, bed are spacious. 4. Very good hostel in a convenient place in Antigua. The vibe is very laidback and there will be many people working in the lobby during opening hours of the café, who you do need to pass on your way to the showers and bathrooms which can be weird at times. However, the facilities are kept very clean throughout the day and are ample for the amount of guests. Included breakfast is alright to good depending on the day (changing menu), the breakfast they packed me to go when heading for the Acatenan...

All in all, great experience. What I wish I knew earlier: the terrace is closed for maintenance for an indefinite period of time. Many other hostels have this and/or ourdoor space, which I'd recommend while in Antigua. Comfy and clean facilities. They weren't so keen on me arriving early, nearly didn't let me inside to drop of my stuff (this was very early, 6 A.M.). I'd recommend giving them a heads up/email if you are arriving early.

Really nice staff, good wifi, good vibes. Only wish the breakfast was a little bit bigger but that’s it. Defo recommend :)

Very clean and comfy beds. Not the most social. The rooms were kind of just open to the cafe all the time, so it didn't always feel the most secure. Location 10/10, short walk to pretty much everything. The staff was also very kind.
