Afer Surf Hostel

WARNING!!!!!! The manager of this hostel is a psycho he chased me down the street when I left in the morning for a surf after staying just one night screaming and swearing abuse at me because I closed the door too loud on the way out by accident (it’s a very heavy door easy mistake to make when leaving excited on my first morning) . I was told to “pack your f**king sh*t and get the f*ck out of my hostel” and continued screaming while I was marched back in to gather as much of my belonging...

The staff is nice, the bedrooms are clean. Unfortunately they have a strong mold problem in all the bathrooms. I was also not happy with my mattress because it was hard like a wooden plank. Also the rooftop was pretty messy which is unfortunate because it could be really nice up there.

We were in the cheap private room and it had no wifi, was on the bottom floor so it was super loud with passing cars and people coming and leaving the hostel. The kitchen was fine and the rooftop was fine aswell. It had a nice atmosphere though but we would stay somewhere else next time.

Room we stayed in was nice. Not very friendly/helpfull staff; were more focussed on all the rules than giving a warm welcome. Top roof kind of shabby. Continuous smell in the kitchen. And right at the entry of the big road into Imsouane which causes quite some noice at night from all the traffic coming in.

The areas where you can chill are really cozy and the staff was really friendly and warm, so we felt safe and the atmosphere was quite good. ✨ Unfortunately the shower’s weren’t working at all. When there was dripping water it was cold. Would be important when you were surfing all day. And especially for people that are menstruating it is important to have a clean and working bathroom. The kitchen wasn’t clean as well and not equipped. So it’s not the priciest hostel but you will notic...

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good time in this hostel. We stayed an entire week and found the common area (bathrooms especially) really dirty everyday. Furthermore, there were no atmosphere in the hostel. You can find waaaay better options in imsouane easily.

The ventilation in the rooms is very bad, we had to buy our own toilet paper because it wasn’t refilled for 2 nights and days of our stay. Very little cleaning happened throughout the communal areas (including vomit left on the toilet seat). No locks on the dorm rooms as well

Nice place with nice people ! The beds are cool and give a little more privacy thanks to the curtains. The staff is very nice and helpful !

Really nice vibe in this hostel. Hamza had such a passionate view on life and was full of energy. The kitchen was kind of shit but you can make something in it at least:) location was a little out of the town but still nice! Had a great time thanks guys:))

One of the best hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Its not fancy but you have everything you need. Really good for surfing and/or hiking. The staff is amazing! Very helpful, very friendly, very welcoming. Also this hostel tends to attract like minded people, everybdy was just so nice and good to talk to. We ate together, played music on the terrace, played games and had good conversations. But not out of obligation, it just was so nice there. Highly highly recommended!

Really nice hostel, common area is amazing and the staff is the best. They really make sure you are having a good time staying in the hostel and will help you with anything. Location is fine and the local small supermarket is really close.

Amazing hostel! Would definitely stay there again, staff are so friendly and helpful. A short walk away from both surf points and supermarket.

Overall really nice, chill hostel. Maybe 1-2 more bathrooms would be great but that’s just how the house is built. Amazing rooftop terrace with Yassin occassionally playing some of his sets.

We visited Afer Hostel in the down season and enjoyed a quiet couple days in Immsouane. The staff are so lovely and so helpful with surf recommendations. There’s kitchen facilities with basic amenities. Immsouane is gorgeous !!

Tolles Hostel, Yassin ist unglaublich sympathisch und wir wollten die dachterasse eigentlich garnicht verlassen

Was clean but there was only a cold shower and the check in guys was never there

we really liked our stay at after surf hostel! the best thing about it is the athmosphere thanks to the guys… they are so friendly and welcoming and you could tell, that they do what they do wholeheartedly and with passion and love… can recommend!

Fantastic hostel. Great staff who are very welcoming and helpful. Small hostel, with a very relaxed and chill atmosphere. It was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle elsewhere on my travels. Very close to some shops and restaurants, and also just down the road from the stop for the Souk to Surf Bus. Would love to stay here again when I come back to Imsouane. Grá mór.

We had a great time; the hostel is really wonderful — tidy, cozy, and clean. The hosts are especially fantastic: unbelievably kind and funny people, always ready to help. I’ll definitely come back!

Super chill vibe in this hostel. I only stayed one night here but really enjoyed the chats with the staff and people that stayed here. It’s basic but good! The only thing that was missing was a warm shower when I was here. Thanks all!
