MUSAVVIR Hostel

We had made a booking in Samarkand in Musavvir Hostel. upon reaching there, we found the room to be very cold. After we asked the person in charge, we were told that due to shortage of gas supply form the government, the heaters were not working. We were asked to turn on the AC on heater mode and wait in the cold room for 45 minutes till it warmed up. Even after waiting for almost 2 hours, the room was still cold. So we called the person in charge and told him we were checking out since we could...

This hostel offers no dorms, only private rooms. The room was super clean, cozy, with A/C and fridge. Kitchen is nice, but there could be more utensils to cook with - never mind, the owner is always ready to borrow you anything you need from his own household. Owner speaks very decent English and is always helpful. As there are no dorms and only 5 double rooms - there is no vibe, no socialising. All in all great service, minus the absence of social interaction.

Lovely place to stay, with a nice relaxing courtyard and kitchen. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the main Registan with a shop nearby to get water and snacks so very well located

Perfect place for a short stay in Samarkand. Very affordable. Host was really kind and helpful, I recommend.

The host is awesome. He replied patiently to all our questions and helped us with everything we needed. He gave us plenty of advices. The apartment is very clean (the toilet was also very clean), a few minutes by walk from the major Samarkand attractions. It's January now and it's very warm in the apartment (air condition and heating you can adjust)! We could leave our bags after our stay. There is a nice kitchen that guests share. When we go to Samarkand next time, we'll stay here for sure!

I stayed here for 7 nights and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful hostel. Everything was very clean and the rooms are fantastic. It is also nestled in an ideal location, with a ten minute walk to the Registan. Our host, Sanjar, was absolutely amazing and helped us with any issues we experienced in Samarkand. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone travelling with friends or family.

If I could give ore stars I would. Sanjar was unbelievable. He helped with everything and stayed up talking to me and gave me a look into Uzbek life. So good. The room was amazing. Easily a top 3 hostel and I've been to hundreds. Come here if you can, you'll love it!

Amazing stay at Musavvir, the best accomodation we have stayed in for a long time! Perfect, quiet location, you can walk to everywhere in town. Amazing facilities - great shower, super comfy beds, kitchen you can use, communal seating including tapchan, good wifi and everything spotlessly clean! Our host, Sanjar, speaks perfect English and went above and beyond to help including organising a driver for a day trip. Do not hesitate to book here!!
