They close every common space at night. Impossible to negotiate if you need to work even if you have an important meeting at night (working with the US). Ended up in the patio under 6 degrees celsius freezing. No one gave any alternative or solutions. Ended up booking somewhere else. Probably a good place to party though. French guy at the reception was very nice tho. Not meant for anyone over 28 y/o.
Sadly I got bed bugs here. So I had to cut my stay short of 3 nights and find something elsewhere. I met a guy who also had same issue. The staff are lovely and I met nice people. But cleanliness needs improvement. They have a lot of lax volunteers ( travelers) working there so a prof cleaner might help.
Extremely dirty bed. A gum near my bed. Bed marks on the walls. Yellow marks too. The bathroom was clean though.
Excellent hostel. Friendly and helpful staff. Would be good if one of the rooftop outdoor areas was smoking free.
It was good. One down side: the top bunk bed didn’t have surrounding railing, so it felt a bit scary sometimes. Just have to pray you’re not rolling off the bed in your sleep

A very good place to be when in Granada.
just perfect
Hostel is very modern and filled with chilled atmosphere. I really enjoyed my stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here! It was very easy to meet people at the family dinner, they don’t have it every day though. They do organize activities every night which I found very nice to have as an option as a solo traveller. The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfy. The rooftop terrace and kitchen are very nice! Would definitely stay again.
This is a great hostel, the location is optimal, everything is clean. It’s easy to meet people and they offer a lot of activities, plus the staff is very nice and helpful. I’d 100% come back!
Great hostel.
The El Granado hostel is truly a great place to stay! I would especially recommend it to any solo traveler who enjoys social life when traveling. The hostel has great activities to meet and talk with other travellers. Everything from social dining to local cave hikes and visits to flamenco shows. Social area on the top floor - great for socializing. Always friendly and helpful staff. My stay was everything I needed. Easy and fun! Thank you! Would stay again any time visiting Granada!
We gave a 10/10 to El Granado Hostel because it offers much more than just a place to sleep. Everything is well balanced: clean and comfortable rooms, great location in Granada, friendly staff, and a truly social atmosphere. The activities and shared moments create real connections. The activities and shared moments create real connections. In just two nights, we felt at home and part of something. It’s the kind of place you don’t forget. ❤️✨
Overall great hostel. The location is wonderful, the staff is attentive and they have good activities for you to join and explore Granada!
Very social hostel with activities to join and 2 nice rooftops to hang out. The hostel itself was pretty and clean.
amazing hostel ! super social (but no party hostel so it wasn't loud at night),nice variety of ages/nationalities of guests, very well equipped kitchen with oil, coffee and spieces and great hostel activities with Fede and espe. also big shoutout at the volunteers (especially soufiane and flor!) had an amazing stay 🌞
I loved this hostel! First of all it just looks pretty, then they have a lot of things (shower gel in the bathroom, towels for free, padlocks for a deposit, washing machine etc.). We didn’t do the activities but it’s nice that they organize things so people travelling solo can get to know others. The staff was super nice and it’s practical that you can leave your bags at the reception before and after you check in/out. I would definitely recommend it!
One of my favorite hostels- I especially loved the curated recommendations map and the social outings. I had a really great time here! ☺️
Nice vibes, spectacular rooftops and the patio and the coworking are so relaxing. Bathrooms are spatious. Overall a good hostel and clean, even if I think it’s slightly pricey. It would be very nice to have some bigger lockers to put the clothes or backpacks in a safer and tidier way, rather than beneath the bed. Staff at the reception is very kind and helpful and towels are for free. The volunteers may be a bit more engaging though. I stayed in many hostels in Granada, but this one is the b...
It was good no issues at all would recommend any day.
Beautiful hostel! The lockers are spacious and the bunks offer privacy with their curtains. Instructions for late check-in were clear and helpful.
As a solo traveller in my 50’s, I felt at home and welcome at this hostel. I loved the two terraces and laid back music that was played in the afternoon. It is very clean, has hot showers, comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, and was quiet at nigh time. Great location near beautiful urban spaces and being near the cathedral is easy to locate and get your bearings.
not sure why the hostel is kept very dark in the common area. for example, the stairway considering that's the only option to go upstairs. LED lights are so efficient nowadays that even leaving them on does not add much to the energy cost or save that much of global warming. A dark hostel looks a bit depressing.
