Tayrona Juancho's House, Hostel & Coworking

This place felt sketchy. We planned to stay a week, but the room was damp, smelled bad at night, and looked nothing like the photos. They blamed it on construction. We left the next day and explained everything, but they still kept 60% of what we paid. They didn’t notify us about the room changes. After reading other reviews, it seems this might be a pattern—giving bad rooms so guests leave early and still get charged.

We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay here and both had a palpable and inescapable scent of mold and mildew. This scent penetrated through every surface of both of our rooms and made us feel unwell. The pictures look nothing like the hostel, beware that most photos are of the beach which is not that close to the hostel. We were the only guests staying - yet our bed was broken and we had to sleep sideways to avoid falling through the gaping hole caused by the base collapsing inwards.

I found the hostel ok. It is very good situated near The Cocos beach, a very nice beach to chill and spend the day. My mattress was a nightmare thou. The bathroom shower had a constant dripping, very annoying. The electricity had up ands down, and the internet was off in my room for the most part. I still recommend it though.

Beach 3 minutes footpath away (not directly in the Beach) - nice friendly staff - good breakfast, best jugo (Juice)!!

Nicely located next to the beach with a restaurant but unfortunately,the restaurant was half under construction. They messed up our booking for the first night but found a good solution for that! The room was very dirty, a lot of dead insects and a terrible floor. And you did not get any fresh air into the room. But the food in the restaurant is very good, we tried a lot and everything was great!

Its okay but nothing special and not social at all. Although it seemed like we booked the last room on hostelworld, there were only 2 other guests. Don’t go here if you want to meet others

Positive aspects: close to parque tayrona 5 min walk to beach Nice staff Super clean and nice private rooms Downsides: Not really a co-working hostel since it's by the street and it's super noisy all day long. More like a bed and Breakfast Not recommended for solo travelers who are trying to connect No organised events or game nights But as a nice sleepingplace def. Good except the noice No kitchen & wash

People and staff were nice. Beach is 3 minutes walk from the hostel. They let us leave our big packpack for one night for free (we went sleeping at Tayrona park).

Fantastisches Hostel, mit viel Liebe sehr schön gestaltet. Das Personal ist sehr nett und immer bemüht, alles nach den Wünschen der Gäste zu gestalten. Wir haben sehr schöne Tage verbracht und waren sehr glücklich.

J'ai adoré ma chambre Condor avec vue sur la mer – incroyable ! L’endroit est super propre, et la vue est à couper le souffle. Le personnel est vraiment sympa et serviable, toujours prêt à aider. La nourriture est délicieuse, et tout est proche de l'entrée de Tayrona. Service client au top, vraiment rien à redire

I stayed at Juancho House a while back and loved it, but this time it was even better! The place has grown a lot, but still keeps that super chill vibe that makes it feel like home. The internet is solid now, which was a game-changer since I had to do some work. Nice to not worry about connection while being in such a beautiful spot. And the food... wow, still amazing. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my trip. Juancho House has the chillest vibe ever – it’s super laid-back, surrounded by nature, and just a short ride to the Tayrona Park entrance. Un muy bonito lugar, con un grato ambiente y hamburguesas y comida buenisimas a buen precio, ademas cerca de la playa!

Eines der besten hostels in denen ich bis jetzt war! Richtig schöne Entspannungsmöglichkeiten in den Hängematten, große Zimmer, sehr leckeres Essen und sehr nette Mitarbeiter! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Absolutely beautiful, a true experience near Tayrona, beautiful beach, economical, abundant and very good food, the room had air conditioning and minibar, very good price.

I loved it. We had a really fun stay. The room is plain, concrete floor which is fine. It had an air conditioner which was amazing because it was almost a 100°F with humidity. The restaurant upstairs is absolutely amazing. Get their cassava!

Only stayed one night but the staff were so helpful and kind. People before us hadn’t left the room so they upgraded us for free. A short bus to tayrona so we did it from there.

Awesome hostal for the cost. Very clean, customer service was perfect, food at the restaurant was delicious. Would come back for sure.

The staff here was incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful! I felt like I was visiting family. The hostel is just a 5-minute bus ride from the Tyrona National Park, so it's perfect if you're planning to hike there. Also, the breakfast was delicious (fruit salad and scrambled eggs with arepas). Juancho's House is a must!
