The Funky Village

I’ve seen a lot of hostels but this one is the worst one so far. Big big rats in the kitchen and behind the bar. The smell in the dorms is awefull and everyone sees you sleeping. The a/c doesn’t work, it’s dusty, nothing is clean neither the bathrooms. Food is way too expensive. Staff is rude and not helpful. It says the kitchen opens at 6 which is not true. This place is disgusting. Bathrooms had black mold in them, especially on the showerhead, walls were peeling, the blanket on the bed was the most disgusting fabric I’ve ever touched in my life and so small and so thin it was a joke. I felt very gross laying in that bed. Although they did have food and a bar, which was nice. I absolutely would not recommend due to cleanliness.

Had cash stolen from my private room. Staff were useless and dismissive, claiming they’d “check cameras” even though none face my room. They refused to show door logs and didn’t ask what timeframe to check. Hostel has zero atmosphere yet blasts loud music nonstop. Only one or 2 old men at the bar each night even though other hostels nearby were lively and sociable. Deluxe room was nice, but wouldn’t touch this place with a 10 foot pole. Stay literally anywhere else.

Nous n’avons pas du tout aimé l’endroit. La chambre est bien, spacieuse, propre et le lit est confortable. Il y a la Clim + ventilo. Mais la douche ne fonctionnait qu’une fois sur dix. Il n’y a quasiment pas de débit, et l’eau coupe tout le temps. Quand elle coupe il n’y a plus d’eau ni au robinet ni au toilette. O

Ist ein Party Hostel. Die Musik war immer bis 1 Uhr so laut, das man nicht einmal mit Earplugs schlafen konnte.

I booked the delux double private as I was doing the sun rise tour in Angkor Wat. The room was located about 2 meters from the bar and the speaker for the bar was located right outside my door. So any chance of a decent night sleep was gone. They would not refund anything and were incredibly u helpful when I asked to change rooms. The atmosphere the following night for a party was also quite dull. Stay somewhere else in my opinion.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The reception staff is not friendly, the rooms are in poor condition and air conditioning not working, the bathrooms are dirty and there is noise until very late. The worst place I have ever stayed

Old hostel, unfortunately not clean enough to feel comfortable. However the people who work there are lovely.

Great location, great pool. Can imagine bar is lively and atmosphere is good in high season. Lots of events and promos throughout week. Laundry service also great Beds were unfortunately very uncomfortable, with very old thin blankets. Staff could not provide an alternative which is not their fault but did affect our stay. No hairdryer at all, plug sockets in room did not work and the wifi also did not work so spent a lot on mobile data. We were in the room in the very top corner so maybe why...

Great place to stay in Siem reap. The room was nice, big social space, big swimming pool. The staff were nice shout out to Remzy and Sean! If you want a good night out in Siem reap come to see the boys at the hostel and they’ll show you the best spots. Also the countryside sunset tour is something different no other hostel offer. Meeting the local children and playing football with them and watching the sunset was amazing!

The property was great and a very fun atmosphere, especially Kai, Sean, and Remzy. They made everything so much better 😁😁😁

For the price it was okay, however the bathrooms were dirty and had bugs in them. Beds weren’t very comfy and for a social hostel there were hardly any people there.

It’s ok, I dont have anything bad to say about it but there’s definitely better hostels to go to in SR. Was pretty dead when I was there but it might have just been bad timing. Other people have had great times so it’s up to u ! The free breakfast was a touch though !

The room and bathroom were nothing special, but nice. The pool is really nice and they have a restaurant and bar with a wide variety. All the food and drinks we had were great.

Loved my stay at Funny Village Siem Reap! As a girl in my early 20s I felt so safe, only $4 a night. Such a friendly, inclusive vibe, always people to meet and loads of activities like the sunset tour, pool crawl, and even a football match with locals. Remzy and the team make you feel so welcome. Amazing people and great energy. Stood out so much to other hostels in Siem reap from their inclusivity. Their sunset tour was one of the most memorable experiences of my whole trip in south east Asia �...

Great hostel. Mix of party and relax. Organised events and outtings. Staff are amazing and the pool is great too. Only downfall was the rooms are super super hot & the upper bunks don’t have curtains. Bathrooms aren’t great either

I had an amazing stay at this hostel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure guests felt at home.

Everything about this hostel is great, the staff, the cold dorms (which is needed in this heat), the complimentary breakfast. Sunset tour was the highlight, def recommend!

fine for the price you're paying but nothing extraordinary. could need a better clean and a new fan in the bathrooms which were very humid. there were a lot of different options for group tours and activities for a better price than on getyourguide. beds were uncomfortable.

I I really enjoyed my stay at Funky Village. Actually I found it a very quiet for a social hostel 😂 which was perfect for me. Had the best sleep. The breakfast is good. The location is perfect. The stuff is really nice. I think just the bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner( even tho I saw that they were cleaned everyday ). I highly recommend it. If I go back to Siem reap I would most probably stay again there.

Had a great stay here; we stayed in a private room which was amazing value for money. The staff were amazing, specifically Remzy, Sean & Liam. Were there over St Patrick’s day which they made really fun. My boyfriend also got to go and do a couple of Muay Thai sessions. Thanks guys! Would recommend

Clean, friendly hostel. There is a lovely atmosphere here and I felt safe.

One of the best hostels I’ve been to, would highly recommend and if you do go here make sure to take the p*** out of Sean, Remzy and Liam 👍

This hostel was only $3 a night including free breakfast! The 28 bed dorm was very calm and such a good stay! Highly recommend and in a great location!
