La Residencia

The woman owner was ok her husband Maximo was terrible. The stayed in their room most of the time. If I wanted to stay at a kennel and cat sanctuary this would be the place. Dogs kept in a locked room, 5 of them, barking at all hours of the night. Cat urine in front of my door every morning. Then when I said I didn’t want to stay they charged me for the full 7 days. In frank terms the owners and the location sucked. Recommend no one book this hostel.

It is a cute b&b with hostel vibes. The rooms were simple but clean, there is a common space on the terrace. The owner is very helpful and nice, as well as the local helping hands that are around a lot. The only negative point are the poor dogs that have to stay (alone) in there room for 23:45 hours a day and whine from time to time.

Perfect spot right next to the coast of boca chica where the boat tours leave from. Simple room, A/C, clean, affordable and nice hosts and friendly cats on the property. I would definitely stay again.
