This has no air conditioning, and is above a pub. Steep steps to the second floor. But it’s clean n tidy old school pub accommodation.

This place offers just basic amenities, but some improvements are needed. The lack of A/C is a problem. They did offer us to use the office fan, but our nights were still pretty miserable. The building is a little run down, but not terrible. There was a cigarette smell in the hallways which I did not appreciate. The room was basic but clean. Overall, I think it’s overpriced for what you get.

If you’re looking for a quiet “bed and breakfast” style hostel in the heart of Sydney then you’ll love this. However we felt although it was cosy it lacked a few facilities such as no hob or oven in kitchen or storage space in the rooms for clothes. It lacked the social element we looked for in a Sydney hostel, no effort for evening activities. However it was nice to have a bar and restaurant right underneath us. We stayed 3 nights in a double room

Great value, the bar stays open till 9 or 10 so if you like to get up really early, it can be noisy. Awesome spot, good beer downstairs

Love this place, my second visit. It's in a nice location with a big community feel and an easy stroll into Darling Harbour. Rooms are spotlessly clean; kitchenette has pretty much everything you need. The bar is a friendly place to unwind at the end of the day, and the onsite restaurant does excellent food at a fair price. Accommodation prices were good and a15% discount on food and drink further eased pressure on the wallet. No lift, but stairs are good exercise and helpful staff.

Great location, just a 10 min walk to Darling Harbour. Reqsonable price, helpfuhelpful staff and all the faciltiesfaciltiesfacilities you need to breabreak up your hostels. Could recommend for groups too!

Great place to stay in a nice area, 5 minute walk into Darling Harbour. Rooms were basic but clean though take mozzie spray as the greenery outside attracts them. No elevator or aircon in the rooms but ceiling fan was sufficient though only open windows with fly screens (see above ref mozzies). Great little bar with friendly staff and the bistro served some of the best pub grub I have eaten in a long time. Prices were reasonable and the 15% residents discount helped stretch the budget.
