We booked a night stay at the Boxpackers hostel for one night stay in Bangkok. We arrived in the early hours given a late flight, and were checked into two beds in a 10 person mixed dorm. We got straight into bed and attempted to go to sleep. I thought (female, 24) I heard my boyfriend say goodnight in the bunk below so I replied with a goodnight, only to turn over, look up to a man in the bunk above me leant over my bed (practically climbed over) saying hi. Le personnel de jour est pas aimable et très désagréable, si vous chercher un endroit avec de la condescendance comme atmosphère vous serez servi. Je ne recommande pas cet endroit.
The daytime staff is not friendly and very unpleasant, if you are looking for a place with condescension as atmosphere you will be served.
For me the hostel had a strange vibe and didn't feel very comfortable. There was a lot of wheet and people smoking. They also sell wheed there. I think if you don't like smoking it's probably not the best for you
No one else was at this hostel while I was there
Decent hostel in a great location. Walking distance from Sam yot MRT (15mins) and of course very close to khoasan road. Beds were average at best and bathrooms and toilets were okay. The photos you see aren’t exactly what you get. The walls are not soundproof at all so beware if you are a restless sleeper! On a positive note, the lady at the front desk was so lovely! She was very helpful with everything and even printed documents out for us.

An alright stay for a night or two. But seemed to be style over substance. The beds/linens were spotless and comfortable in 8-bed women’s dorm, but little details spoiled the stay… annoying beep on door when not fully closed which happens a lot, reading lights and way too bright so if someone has their light on the whole room lights up, also CCTV camera in the dorm room which made me uncomfortable. Good rooms, clean and spacious. Showers and bathrooms are also massive. Not a social hostel but people are pleasant and welcoming. Great location aswell. Bad- bathroom cleanliness, hard mattress
Es war extrem dreckig, die Duschen voller Haare und schmierig, die Toilette hat gestunken. Gereinigt wurde dort einmal pro Tag oder eher gar nicht. Die Lage war inmitten von Besoffenen, Prostituierten und Obdachlosen. Aktivitäten wurden nicht angeboten, die Leute waren alle allein oder unter sich
It was extremely dirty, the showers were full of hair and dirty, the toilet smelled. cleaning was done there once a day or not at all. the situation was in the midst of drunks, prostitutes and homeless. no activities were offered, people were all alone or among themselves
The hostel is definitely not like the pictures. They make it look really nice and they forgot to tell you that each floor shares 1 bathroom/ 1 shower/ and one sink..

it's a good hostel
Very good
Nice Hostel! Bathrooms were spacious and clean, same with the room. The mattress was thin tho. Wasn’t very social, could be because there weren’t a lot of other people around when I stayed. The street is busy and noisy, but okay. Staff was nice. Would recommend and stay again!

Good place to stay, while social areas exist the place was pretty quiet, good if you want a quieter stay. Facilities were nice and kept clean. Not much spare room in the dorms and the higher lockers were not great for storing suitcases or long bags.

The hostel is amazing! All the common areas, including the bathrooms, are always clean and smell great. I especially want to thank Song and Peepee for being such kind people; they made everything so easy. My English isn't that great, and they were very patient with me. There was just one slightly awkward situation with some other reception staff on the Monday afternoon shift. quiet& social hostel, very good location walking distance to khaosan road but not loud street. friendly & helpful staff, comfortable beds with curtains & duvet !! hot showers :)) balcony & courtyard area & cafe downstairs
Great location, big beds but quite springy, the showers also just dribbled out cold water there was only 1 shower you could control the temperature and had actual shower pressure down stairs. The lock system that speaks and beeps was also quite annoying in the night

Good location, close to Khao San road. Not a social hostel but clean and comfy. I recommend after a day of travel for a more relaxed time

This staff isn't the friendliest and the person who checked me in was quite rude as if I was interrupting their day. When I got to my assigned bunk there was someone in it. I thought it was just a mistake and was going to take another bunk but needed to use the locker for the bunk I was assigned because I had the key for the locker. When I explained this to the person who was in my bed she called the person working the front desk and I was given a new bunk number/locker key... 30 minutes later. ...
Nice hostel, did the job. Wasnt very social but wasnt to be expected. Room was good and so was shower, toilet definitely had a smell. But overall a good hostel for a couple of nights as is close to lots of things
El hostel es cómodo, las camas son espaciosas. Es un paraíso entrar de la calle a las habitaciones con aire acondicionado. Es ideal para dormir y descansar porque es silencioso. Los baños y las duchas son compartidos pero muy limpios. El espacio común es perfecto para trabajar
