+ It’s cheap
- My boyfriend left a review after we stayed in the hostel and the owner contacted me on Instagram to send me an agressive private message - this is totally unacceptable. There was no one at the hostel reception when we arrived and when we left. We accidentally ran into a volunteer upstairs who showed us to our room. The hostel itself and the room don’t look like the pictures on booking. The room was filthy dirty, there were ants in the bed. I’m not sure the sheets were clean… the walls are very thin, you can hear everything in the corridor and in the next door room. Also the door is translucent, so the light from the corridor at night is disturbing to sleep. The bathroom area looks like a construction site. The included breakfast was supposed to start at 8am, which is quite late knowing that the motorbike tours start early. When we were leaving at around 8:10 there was still no sign of breakfast at all. When we were leaving, there was no one at the reception either. We were just told by message to leave the money on the table. Certainly it’s cheap. But other places in town are cheap as well. On our return from the loop we stayed in a different place for the same price, and it was really decent, with private bathroom, good breakfast starting early and actual people at the reception desk. I think the owner should use his time to clean his hostel instead of sending agressive messages to customers.
+ The owner checked us in during the night. That was very helpful as we were not able to access Internet on our travels. The room we had was quite clean and hygiene was good.
- Our stay was limited to two days and we were struggling with our health a little bit. During our stay there were big renovations, which started at around 7am and we struggled to get more sleep than 2 hours a night, as we heard every movement and toilet visit. Even during the day we couldn't manage a nap. When we were checking our options to visit the Ha Giang Loop, only 2 & 3 days-touring was offered so we moved on to actually do a one-day trip offered by somebody else. That annoyed the personal quite a bit, which made us feel uncomfortable.
+ The staff was great, really friendly and we were welcomed with some fresh fruit which was really nice. Also the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.
- Unfortunately, the bathroom and especially toilettes were not very clean and also the floor in the room was quite dirty, so we were actually quite glad we only stayed for a night.
+ Easy to locate, quiet and helpful. The breakfast offered in the mornings were really nice and the staff were helpful.
- The shared toilet and shower areas could have been cleaner.

- - murs très très fins, chaque personne qui passe dans l’escalier s’entend très fort - manque de propreté à l’accueil - pas grand chose autour pour manger le soir, si vous arrivez un peu tard
+ La disponibilité des hôtes et leur aide dans l’organisation du séjour. Le tour en 4j de ha Giang en moto.
- Chambre simple basique sans isolation.

+ We stayed one night after completing Ha Giang loop. Very comfy bed and clean facilities.

+ Duy was friendly and super helpful. He sent us a Google Maps route that was essential for solo our Ha Giang expedition! Cats were cute. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. We rented a motorbike from the homestay which was not too expensive. They let us leave our bags in lockers while we did the loop.
- The motorcycle we rented had intermittent issues with the indicators and horn not working.
+ It’s a perfect place if you need to stay one night in town before starting the Hà Giang loop the next day. I did the loop with “The Real Hà Giang loop company”, and I recommend it 100%.
- The sheets weren’t clean at all, the were hair and dust on them. Also, I wasn’t provided a towel by first-hand, so I had to ask.

+ It was such a welcoming lovely hostel. I don't remember her name, but the lovely Hungarian volunteer does an amazing job of making it feel like home. So welcoming and happy to recommend good local spots. The room was clean and very comfortable. I am allergic to cats and I was a little nervous, but the rooms are cat free and very clean - so no issues. Breakfast was yummy on the beautiful plant filled roof top.

Lazy Cat Homestay is a very nice and calm place in the heart of Ha Giant. volunteer and stuff very friendly and helpful. Hostel is clean and with love. Its also possible to book a tour for the loop or a busticket. Funny cats are living in the hostel but not in the dorm.

+ Location is at quiet area but there are may shops near by also laundry shop ís not far. I took a tour hagiang loop with them and it's free for my son 4 years old even I extended to stay 3 more nights in dorm room and it's alos free

+ The cats, the place, the people, aleatory order. First place the cats though :)) Duy and the two other people taking care of the place were very nice! Many thanks for the Miss there taking care of our breakfast. Loved her flowers and plants and how she took care of them. Of the place. Of us. Mister as well, very nice person as well. Duy, one of the best receptionists I have ever met. Hope I will see you again all one day. :)

It was a great stay!
Could not be happier I came here and did the loop with these guys. Comfy beds, gorgeous view on the roof in the hostel. When I come back, it will be to here. There's a reason everyone says it was the best part of the trip and I see why now. Staff at the hostel also speak amazing English and are really knowledgeable so it takes all the stress out of transport to and from just drop them a message. 10/10 easily.

Honestly cannot fault this place. It was comfortable and clean with a spacious dorm room. Breakfast on the rooftop with an incredible view. Self-serve ginger tea was a godsend. The cats are adorable as. You can walk places but it’s in a quieter area of the city. The Ha Giang loop was so much fun with them. Staff are very helpful and friendly. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at.
