- The hotel was so tired and dated. Both in terms of the quality of the fabric which has been poorly maintained and the cleanliness is shocking. Felt very uncomfortable in the hotel and minimised my time there. Will not be returning. At check out, it was rather telling that the team did not ask about my experience....I expect they daren't and if they do get a lot of negative feedback that they cant control.

- 80s decor. Windows falling apart. Shower too hot to stand under. TVs didn't have digital guide and didn't even have BBC. Breakfast was the cheapest sausages money could buy. All the fixtures and fittings were tired.
- Overcharged £120 at check in then overcharged £120 at check out. Hotel blamed booking.com for dinner add on which actually doesn't exist. Hotel honoured what booking. com had advertised in conjunction with hotel which knew nothing about it!!!! Not pleasant to feel like your trying to get something for nothing. Breakfast wasn't worth getting up for it was cold and poor quality.i asked if mines could be heated in the microwave it came back inedible. First and last time at this hotel.

- The hotel is extremely run down in most parts. First room we went to the toilet and bath had what appeared to look like faeces on them! Second room the bed sheets had not been changed!!!
+ Still awaiting to hear back about a credit note as the day we were supposed to arrive the leisure facilities were out of order and that's the whole reason I booked it for my 10 year olds double digits birthday, absolute disappointment and would not recommend. Customer service is terrible and management was suppose to call but no communication was made. Complete joke of an establishment.

- Arrived to be advised pool and hot tub not in operation. Not advised this by Booking.com nor hotel prior to trip. Boiler broken so no heating in corridors and room (portable heater supplied). No heating in dining room on 1st day and on 2nd night no hot water. Booked Delux room but nothing Delux about it!! Shower over bath. Hotel in need of upgrade.

Nous avons réservé 2 lits mais lors de notre arrivée on s’est rendu compte au Check in que nous nous étions trompé de date!! Les 2 personnes présentent nous ont dit qu’il faudrait quand même payer + payer les lits pour le jour même. Le manager allait essayer de faire un geste comprenant notre problème. Il n’y avait pas vraiment d’annulation, juste un quiproquo. Le solde a été prélevé et nous n’avons plus aucune nouvelle de personne. Je suis plutôt déçue qu’aucun compr...
We booked 2 beds but on arrival we realized at the check in that we had the wrong date!! the 2 people present told us that we should still pay + pay the beds for the same day. the manager was going to try to make a gesture that understood our problem. there was no really cancellation, just a quid pro quo. the balance was collected and we have no news from anyone. i am rather disappointed that no compromise could be found.
Un endroit superbe et hyper fonctionnel au milieu des plus beaux monuments historiques de la ville. Personnel au top et chambre très propre.

- One small bottle of water for 2 people was mean Rooms needed a refurb , bathroom dated , bead not good quality and decoration was old , needed redecoration
+ Everything was lovely and it has a great history which was really interesting!
- We are early risers and missed the convenience of making coffe/tea in our room while waiting for breakfast.
+ The hotel is lovely and clean. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The swimming is great especially for children as it’s a lot quieter than community pools.

- Deux chambres que nous avons eu étaient en bien en mauvais état … Ne correspondaient pas aux photos. Bien trop chères payées pour cela
+ The Hotel's location was perfect and a lovely historic building, buffet breakfast was very good.
- Rooms very tired and need some refurbishment. size of room was ok for our short stay. Paying extra for carparking i feel should be with in the price for the room and not an additional cost.
