Caution! Bed bugs! Unfortunately, a girl and I both got bed bug bites in Casa Verdi even though we slept in two beds far apart from each other in one room. We also know for sure that it came from Casa Verdi and had the bites diagnosed by a doctor. This was not a big surprise, because the hostel was not very clean. There was a lot of dust in the corners everywhere, especially in the corners of the bathroom and we noticed that the overblankets in the rooms were not washed after they were u...
I emailed the host about arriving late at around 8pm, and he did not answer me at all (just replied me in the next morning even though the working hour in the hostel is up to 11pm). Tried to call him but the number never works on the chat or not available. So I could not check in and had a white night because the other hostels was full
The sheets had white stuff on them clearly not clean. Showers and bathrooms were dirty. Truly wasn’t expecting much as it’s a hostel in a dirty city but this somehow didn’t meet those basic expectations. Otherwise, great location close to city center.
Unfortunately my friend got bed bugs which was quite unpleasant. But otherwise the hostel seemed nice and had nice shared spaces.
Sehr umständlich alles. Enge Türen. Mit Reisegepäck bleibt man überall stecken. Sehr sehr umständlich alles. Eng, veraltet, unglaubliche Türschlösser, man muss sich erst die Brille aufsetzen bevor man erkennt welchen Knopf oder Hebel man drücken muss, um rauszukommen.

The hostel is located in quite a bad neighborhood, especially of you have to walk from the train station to the hostel in the dark, it feels quite unsafe. The hostel itself is fine, however no instructions how to get there and where you can find the doorbell. The staff is alright but not very welcoming of whatsoever.
La ubicación está bien, la casa es muy chula pero si que con las ventanas de madera hay mucho ruido por la noche. El colchón no era muy bueno.
The location is good, the house is very cool but yes with the wooden windows there is a lot of noise at night.
Really cute hostel. Staff were fantastic and accommodating. They notcied i had a rough sleep and changed my matress for a firmer one. That was really the only issue i had. Other than that, really nice and chill hostel. Aircon worked well in the shared room. Kitchen was very well equipped. Everything, including the bathrooms, was kept VERY clean and the travellers reciprocated. Thank you guys x

Overall I had a wonderful stay! The only thing I’d mention is the noise coming from the street. The windows are old and are not sealing too well. It’s almost never entirely quiet, as the room was to the street.
Tolles Hostel, super nette Volunteers, sehr sozial. Es gibt einen Gemeinschaftsraum, eine Küche und Einen großzügigen Gemeinschaftsbalkon. Es gibt gemeinsame Vorräte von Grundnahrungsmitteln, die man auch erst benutzen und dann auffüllen kann, das ist der Vibe. Betten zwar ein bisschen durchgelesen, aber platzmäßig sehr großzügiger Schlafsaal. Auch sind sehr viele Mücken dabei gewesen, aber die Freiwilligen haben ihr bestes gegeben, die zu vertreiben. Jederzeit wieder!
Great hostel, super neat Volunteers, very social. There is a common area, a kitchen and a generous communal balcony. There are shared stores of basic foodstuffs that you can also use first and then replenish, that's the vibe. Bedten is a bit over-read but spaciously very generous Schlafsaal. There have also been a lot of mosquitoes, but the volunteers have done their best to drive them out. Anytime again!
I expected to stay there 2 nights, ended up staying 5 because the city, the other guests, the volunteers, the hostel, Etna....❤️
One of the best hostels I’ve been in Sicily! 🩷 Very cute, stylish, cozy, the staff is amazingly nice and welcoming! The neighbourhood is nice as well. Loved it! It was hard for me to leave… 😀

Really lovely staff and such a beautiful hostel with all necessary facilities. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely hostel. The rooms are nicer than a lot of hostels I have stayed at this far. The bed is made and you are provided with a towel. The three bathrooms were each private and I never had to wait long to use one. Overall, it was clean, I just noticed that dirt would get on my feet if walking barefoot. It is pretty centrally located in a more quiet area and also close to the bus terminal. The staff was welcoming and friendly. There was a great sense of community within the hostel!
Very cool peaple. Great stuff!! Relaxing atmosphere! All facilities. Very central. Very old and fancy building with a very interesting architecture and decorate with the good taste. Stuff is helpful speaking in many languages. Give travellers always some good advice. I will stay there again in case I would like visit Catania again.

Casa Verdi è come stare nella propria casa, condivisa con tanti viaggiatori, ognuno con le Proprie abitudini, ma rispettoso delle altre. E’ un luogo informale, basato sulla fiducia e questo lo rende una casa per viaggiatori e non per turisti! Grazie per la cortesia, la gentilezza e l’atmosfera sincera! Tom
Casa Verdi is like staying in your own home, shared with many travelers, each with their own habits, but respectful of the others. it is an informal place, based on trust and this makes it a home for travelers and not for tourists! thank you for the courtesy, kindness and sincere atmosphere! tom

Wer es etwas ruhiger und heimeliger mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben! Schloss nicht vergessen, falls ein Aufenthalt im Mehrbettzimmer geplant ist, um Wertgegenstände einschließen zu können!

Très belle auberge de jeunesse où l'ambiance est à la fois calme et conviviale. Les endroits partagés, notamment la superbe terrasse sont très agréables. Endroit idéal pour se ressourcer , où le personnel fait tout pour améliorer l'exprérience des clients ! Le seul bémol, les lits un peu durs à notre gout et le disfonctionnement de la climatisation ont un peu impacté nos nuits. À part ça, on recommande !!
The shared spaces, including the superb terrace are very pleasant. ideal place to recharge , where the staff does everything to improve the experience of the guests ! the only downside, the beds are a little hard to our taste and the malfunctioning of the air conditioning has a little affected our nights. other than that, highly recommended !!
