Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und versuchen einem zu helfen. Allerdings sind die Dorms und der Bereich zu den Duschen/ die Duschen selber stark renovierungsbedürftig und alles andere als sauber (Spinnenweben und Schimmel in den Zimmern und der Dusche). Der Dorm roch zudem stark nach Rauch, was sehr unangenehm ist. Der Essbereich und Eingangsbereich gleicht den gezeigten Bildern.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and try to help you. however, the dorms and the area to the showers/the showers themselves are in dire need of renovation and everything is far from clean (spider webs and mold in the rooms and the shower). the dorm also smelled strongly of smoke, which is very unpleasant. the dining area and the entrance area are the same as the shown pictures.
Veraltet und schmutzige Unterkunft, sah gar nicht wie auf den Bildern aus. Unser Dorm hat total nach Rauch gestunken. Das Bad war sehr schmutzig. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

really frustrating when none of the staff speak english (i understand i’m un your country and all but if you run a backpackers hostel idk) also no social vibe at all or activities, and the bathrooms weren’t clean at all the location is nice, up in the mountains and you get a nice view but it’s quite far out!
Pictures online make it look nicer than it is. Beds were clean enough but bathrooms were quite disgusting. Bunk bedroom does not have any locks on the doors so not very secure.
Schöne Anlage mit einem tollen Blick über Kandy. Restauramt Essen war ganz gut. Hostel ist etwas abgelegen und wegen der Nebensaison war ich alleine dort.

I arrived after a long train ride and was quite tired, staff instantly tried to sell me and book me in for all sorts of tours. After heading to my room (which has no key/door stays open?) got ready to walk into town to buy basic items, hostel tuk tuk driver insisted on driving me to town. After I got in tuk tuk he drove for ages , I kept asking him where we were going and he said he had a better shop. Took me to a really expensive jewellery store and I had to argue with him to take me back. Ugh

Clean hostel with nice private room. Nice pool. But the staff was too pushy trying to sell everything from dinner, tuktuk, taxi, breakfast etc. Also, the common areas only have small tables which makes it harder to socialise with other guests.
Overall a nice hostel but rather expensive. The pool l and l sitting area outside are nice (but more of a quiet hostel). However there was a water outage (apparently in the whole area) and it took quite some time for them to offer a solution. Also their TukTuk driver was supposed to pick me up early in the morning to catch my train and he didn’t show up (we confirmed it three times the day before) and I had to asked the staff a few time if he was coming or not before they arranged another one.
Beautiful hostel at a good location. Although a bit expensive for what it is/has to offer. The water didn’t run when I was there, so it wasn’t possible to shower. Breakfast is also not included. Nice pool tho! But no social vibe at all.

Lovely place with nice facilities and views. Volunteer Cookie was so friendly. No other guests there at the time, very quiet and tricky to get around.
Very beautiful location and kindest staff. If they recommend a tuk tuk driver say yes. Very nice people 😃 But not many guests at the place (at least not when I was staying there)

Das Hostel liegt super und die Mitarbeiter waren nett. JEDOCH ACHTUNG: Uns wurde von dem Hostel eine Tuktuk Tour empfohlen für nur 2000LKR, welche sich super zum Kennenlernen von Kandy angeboten hat. Man wird jedoch nur an Orte (Herbel Garden, Holzmanufaktur, Massage etc.) gefahren, bei denen es sich um Touristen-Scams handelt. Der Tuktuk Fahrer wirkte erst vertrauenswürdig, versicherte uns, dass es sich um lokale, faire Preise handelte. Als wir nichts kaufen, ist die Stimmung etwas gekippt.
The Hostel was recommended by the Hostel an Tuktuk Tour for only 2000LKR, which was great for getting to know Kandy. However, one is only driven to Orte (Herbel Garden, Holzmanufaktur, Massage etc.) which are Tourist-Scams. The Tuktuk Driver first seemed trustworthy, assured us that it was a local, fair Price deal.

Very clean and nice hostel. Rooms spacious and bathroom facilities are very clean. The best part is the view from the terrace of the banana trees gives you a real escape away from the hustle of Kandy
Clean, tidy friendly with great pool facilities out of the city centre so you can escape the hustle and bustle of Kandy. The hostel was very quiet when we were here meaning that the atmosphere was quite low but it was off season.
The perfecr get away for backpackers to feel like staying in a hotel and get away from all the noise. We had the deluxe 2 persons bedroom and it was amazing. We even had our own yard. Me, my sister and a friend were the only ones, so it felt like a private stay. Very clean, great breakfast and iced coffee. We chilled by the pool all day and finally got some rest in between all the backpacking. The people working there are amazing and do anything for you. Would 100% go back here!
We really enjoyed our stay at Banana Bunks, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was beautiful and the aircon was great! We enjoyed an evening and morning dip in the pool. Slept so well here and enjoyed puddings and breakfast here :) would recommend!
Très bel homestay avec piscine à débordement au milieu des bananiers. Propre. Les plats proposés sont un peu cher. Niveau ambiance nous n’avons croisé personne
Very nice homestay with a swimming pool in the middle of banana trees. clean. the dishes offered are a bit cheap. atmosphere level we did not come across anyone

We had a really nice time at the hostel! We stayed in the luxurious double room with ‚jungle shower’ and even with a small private garden, the staff was very nice and the food excellent! It is situated in a quiet area which is, at Perahera festival time very convenient- the city center is a bit far but with the tuktuk (7’min) it‘s no problem!
Lovely hostel, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Didn’t see any other guests (off season) but we didn’t mind!

It was a lovely hostel, and the staff were very friendly. The hostel is located up a hill, so it’s something to be mindful off. But it was a lovely stay overall.
