Arcadia Waterpark Hostel

Das Hostel ist total runtergekommen. Im Hostelzimmer war es unfassbar heiß und die Ventilatoren haben eigentlich nichts gebracht. Es gab nur ein Waschbecken, bei dem ab meiner zweiten Nacht kein Wasser mehr kam. Die Toiletten waren teilweise auch kaputt. Auch die Billiardtische/ Kicker waren kaum oder gar nicht mehr funktionsfähig. Auch das Essen war echt teuer. Insgesamt lag total viel Krams/ Müll überall rum und es sah nicht aus wie auf den Fotos. Disappointing stay, we left early. I would not recommend staying here, it is disgusting and dirty. The water park was ok but dangerous in my opinion. The free kayak was good but not enough to recommend a stay. Get a day pass for water park and stay somewhere else. Huge maintenance needed

The staff was super lovely. However the hostel is quite outdated. Do not expect great facilities here. Its also a bit expensive with tuktuks back and forth if you would like to visit the city centre. I moved hostels a bit early sadly

Nice view over the river but the place really needs maintenance. The dorm was dirty, there was no curtains, door was broken and stayed open the whole night, beds not confortables, and the light was broken in the bathroom and kept flashing at night. Not to mention the smell of shared toilet. It’s a pity because otherwise the location and view is really nice

No key for rooms, very old rooms, not adequate lightning between outside facilities, high price for what İt promise.

awful hostel! the volunteers are alright but the stuff is so greedy and rude. They really take advantage of the fact that the hostel is so far away from the city center and charge high prices for everything. Even the water refill is overpriced if not empty and u need to buy the expensive water there.Also someboey pissed in my bed and I didnt get a refund and apology or anything. They said they dont care. The waterpark is overrated and a lot of people get hurt. Wouldn't recommend.After 0 its dead

Double booked bed… Always a nice surprise when going to bed at night to find someone else has checked in and your personal belongings have been moved! Brought this up with reception staff who said it was because I didn’t check out (booked for 2 nights) and agreed they didn’t know which bed I was in!! Awful, dirty, No Air con, toilets filthy. Don’t bother, stay somewhere else & visit just for bbq boat party. Worst hostel.

Very basic hostel, sheet and pillow unclean, smelt like the person before me. No plug socket by the bed so we had to share ones that actually didn’t work. No locks on doors. Staff are very disorganised took them ages to check me in, said laundry would be 24hrs took 2 days. Water park is fun, but you can always visit for that and not stay there. They employ backpacker volunteers to work behind the bars and help out - they’re actually not helpful but annoying. Would not recommend.

As someone who slept in the 12 dorm room I hated my stay. Even though the waterpark is great, the athmosphere is nice and there’s lots of games to play and keep yourself busy. But the living aspect was horrible. The room was basically outside and the mosquito nets had holes in them. Wasn’t a comfortable place to sleep at all. I also had bedbug bites the day after!! But the worst were the bathrooms. They were outside and all very dirty and disgusting. ONLY stay for the waterpark, not for slee...

AWFUL! Rat poo in our room everywhere! No air con even though this wasn’t specified. Waterpark activities were great fun but I wouldn’t stay here. We lasted 3 hours & moved to another hostel. Arcadia was far out and can’t get grab from here to town, have to use the tuktuks outside

Best hostel out of our 3 month trip! Staff were all so friendly!

I loved this hostel so much so social and the waterpark is so fun. The staff are amazing and so friendly made me feel at home instantly. We stayed in the private rooms and they were so nice. The staff set up a bonfire for us and gave us marshmallows to have by the fire.

Had such a fun stay at Arcadia !! The staff are the best, so lovely & friendly. We socialised a lot with them in the evening and had lots of fun ! The dorms are cool, fans and mosquito nets in each bed which is perfect ! Nice toilets & showers. The waterpark is really fun and the cafe does great food & drinks! Would recommend to anyone visiting Kampot

Dogs on the property bark all night and sneak into the dorm, sleeping under the beds. Beds are extremely rickety so the whole thing moves even when someone walks past. The dorm is a very hot shack without any seal from outside. Mosquito net is provided but was still bitten a lot somehow. A fan is attached to underneath of the top bunk. It vibrates and shakes the whole top bunk bed. The hostel itself has a great social laidback vibe but it was hard to enjoy due to literally no sleep.

We stayed at Arcadia for 3 nights on our trip to Cambodia and adored it. Our private room was spacious and clean and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The facilities / surrounding areas are basic but are made up for by the brilliant and kind staff; they put on a bbq boat trip for everyone staying at the hostel one afternoon and it was honestly one of the highlights of my entire travelling trip. Defo recommend if you want a real authentic Homestay experience in Kampot

Staff are amazing at this hostel and helped us a lot. Created a great vibe around the place. However the top bunks in the dorms are not comfortable for sleeping, bottom bunks get fans leaving the top bunks far too hot. Cleanliness was generally good, but having one toilet available for the whole hostel made things difficult. Decent spot on the river, but is so far from the City so transport can be difficult, water park facilities weren’t great. But the staff made this much better.

Brilliant hostel. Slide was very fun along with the blob and the platform. Beautiful scenery and great location. Food was brilliant and the staff were exceptional and very helpful.

This hostel is such a great place on the river! Amazing to have a fun swim and of course use the slide and other water activities. The staff is absolutely lovely to talk to and they can help with anything you need to book. Also there’s lots of cute dogs:)

By far best hostel I have stayed at ever! Com the manager and Lee are literally the best, was such a welcoming environment. Felt more like a home stay and met some amazing people while staying here. Food was really good and waterslide was such good fun!

Loved this hostel! Staff were lovely and the are was great. EBI- mosquito nets had lots of holes in and lockers were too small for bags :( Also LOTS of dogs around with very strong barks despite being friendly I can imagine if your not comfortable around dogs it can be scary as they did come in the room at night/ showers.

Top gaff - Com, Lee, and Jimmy were great! Stayed 3 nights but could’ve done way longer

Oh my!!! What a find. Slightly off the beaten track but such a wonderful atmosphere looking out over the river. Rooms are spacious and clean and the food is exceptional and good value ( best breakfast by far). The best bit about this place is Con, the manager. Always smiling, joking and making you feel really welcome, She will happily organise Tuk tuk ( you will need them) as well as bike hire if needed. Con made all of us feel at home and we found it hard to leave.

I really didn’t want to leave- Con and Lee were the absolute sweetest hosts and I truly enjoyed every moment spent at Arcadia. When getting a tuktuk, I had troubles finding a fair price to bring me to the hostel (this is the new relocated one) but I called Con and she helped call me a tuktuk that charged me around half the price I’d have initially paid. Super scenic spot on the Mekong river a bit far from the center so I recommend renting a scooter. Can’t wait to revisit Arcadia Hostel :)

New location is a bit out but only negative thing to say. The staff were amazing and just wanted you to have a good time! Showers were great, dorm was clean, plenty of places to chill and enjoy the sun. Definitely recommend going to the water park for a day trip if you don’t stay.

Wat een fantastische plek met fantastische mensen. We zijn echt als familie opgenomen, hebben mee mogen eten met de eigenaar, en hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Erg jammer dat we weg gingen. Echt een paradijs.

The food here is amazing! The best food I have had in Cambodia. I highly recommend the beef lok lak. The staff here are so sweet and can set you up with tours, transportation, whatever you need. Highly recommend staying. Private rooms are so nice!
