Less good than how it appears on Hostelword. The towels and the sheets they gave us were dirty. The staff was very kind with us.
Do not recommend for solo women travelers. I moved to a different hostel after one night and feel much safer. The Hindustan hostel is also fairly gross, there was a condom outside my window that had obviously been there for a long time, in addition to the general comments by other guests about the lack of cleanliness. My sheets were clean, but the room had a bad smell, and the bathroom was very very smelly and stuffy. I wish I could add my photos to this review.
Very ugly neighborhood and in-descent rooms
Ita really disapponted place, because I trusted reviews but this hostel was not like that. First of all, the only clean thing is the bed. But bathroom was really weird. There is no toilet paper and no one checked out. Also, there is no place to hangout. And dormitory room was dark you cant see the sunshine. Location is close to train center but neighborhood is not really safe.
La suciedad es inaceptable, llegamos en la noche, nos ubicaron en una habitación privada donde el olor orines de gatos era impresionante,el piso estaba pegajoso y manchado, las cobijas estaban húmedas, las tóhalla mojadas y manchadas. Tengo experiencias en hoteles y esto es la peor experiencia de mi vida. Las reseñas en gran parte cuando son locales son falsas.
We arrived at 12 a.m and already informed about the same. They were like we have given your room to foreigner and we would shift you to sister hostel. At 12 a m in delhi i would not like to roam around with my wife. It was the worst experience i had and j don't know why website list this type of places
Terrible. Delapitated building, crap on the walls, dusty, garbage visible, dirty towels visible. Walls painted over with graffiti (not the fun deliberate kind). The room was gross; shower head broken, stains in the couch, garbage on the floor, falling apart, very uncomfortable. I felt totally taken, and honestly I don't quite trust the website all that much anymore, since the pictures and rating tell a VERY different story. Avoid this place. Pics and other ratings are lying.
Room was not properly cleaned. Bathroom had broken knobs, Was not able to close the balcony door properly. Wifi connection was pathetic, if you are planning on work from here think twise. Even after we complained there was no improvement in the connectivity. Plates provided as per request was dirty and couldn't use it.

Horrible location. I saw comments saying it would be dirty and was like eh that’s surely just Delhi. But I wish I’d paid attention because it is SO busy and rough and stressful outside — really regret not paying slightly more for a safer location. Walking back after dinner a child stole a bracelet off my hand and kept following trying to steal more. The actual hostel doesn’t feel like a hostel at all: 0 people around, no atmosphere. They were very polite and always ready to help. Really recommend coming here, no matter if you just going through or staying for longer, the atmosphere as well as service is great.
good value for money in New Delhi. the owner talks good english and is friendly. He can arrange alot.
Very good expérience at Hindustan by backpackers heaven The team is really Kind and hepfull. The location is perfect. The room are totally ok. Thank you to Raj and Mr’ Manoj for that welcoming. If I come back to Delhi I will definitly stay there
Food tour was amazing - Paid less for the food tour booking with Raj. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. Great shower with hot water - WiFi and A/C that works. The facilities are safe but beware that the lockers will only work with a large lock. FYI, no curtains on the bunks (at least in my room).
Amazing staff and good location. Rooms were spacious and clean with comfy beds. Would recommend.

Nice place to stay in a good location in Delhi. Private room was spacious and clean. The staff were also really kind and helpful. They helped arrange a delivery for me and had lots of good advice about navigating Delhi
Stayed here and honestly, it’s a really solid spot if you’re backpacking through Delhi. First thing — the staff are amazing. Super friendly, always around to help, and they actually care. They helped with directions, transport, and just made everything easier, which you really appreciate in a busy place like Delhi. The location is perfect. Really friendly and helpful staff. Basic rooms but clean and a decent breakfast. I was there towards the end of the season so it was quiet with only a few people around. Hostel is located in the busy main bazaar area, close to New Delhi railway station and 20 min walk to Connaught place

lovely hostel and good location. Sadam from reception was amazingly helpful and sweet!
Large and comfortable beds although no curtains. Dormitories secured with a code-locked entrance door, lockers available for valuables but not big enough to fit backpacks. Helpful and flexible staff, I could check-in early and leave my backpack a few hours after check-out. Overall a good place to stay in Paharganj !
Welcoming staff, veey comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Only issue was our request for a packed breakfast the. Ext morning. Promised but it ready at 7, or even 7:20 (constantly assured that "it is being packed"). Finally departed without a packed breakfast afyer our driver waited 20 minutes. Despite that disappointment, we will stay here again in a couple of weeks, and in the future if the opportunity arises.
Property was clean and accessible
This was my first arrival point in imdia as a solo female traveller. I got picked up by the hostel taxi and felt vert safe. Made my trip much less intimidating. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Not the cleanest place and my room didnt look like the photos but it was functionable and I would recommend. Also there is a lovely dog on property!
It was ok! Not very social however.
