WORST HOSTEL - Don’t go there ! Smelling cannabis everywhere, dirty bed linen, smallest room ever. It is not looking at all to the photos, 3 dirty wc for 50 persons, no water pressure on the 3 shower there. Feel like tent camping bathroom. Dirty ground. Do not stay at this hostel if you’re a solo female traveller. The only upside is the location. But everything else about this hostel is horrific. The hostel wasn’t even worth the price charged, you’d rather stay at other hostels. The bathrooms were always stinky and the rooms were horrible. There was a constant stench in the rooms. Some of the others in the dorm wouldn’t even let me open the window which made it super hot and suffocating.
There is one positive and that is the location, being right next to the cathedral. However, it is dirty, smelly, and lacks basic facilities that any hostel should provide. There is no soap whatsoever in the bathrooms and they are never clean and always stink, there is no kitchen or even microwave to cook food, there is no common room whatsoever for the guests, and no vibe as a hostel. I strongly recommend avoiding this hostel and staying at those in Ehrenfeld.
0/10 do NOT recommend. By the book it’s a hostel, in reality it’s a homeless shelter. 2 of my 4 roommates were living there full time for weeks and not travelers. They sat in the room all day long and if not, they were in the lobby. 4 nights with them was a terrible atmosphere and couldn’t wait to leave. Von diesem Hostel ist einfach nur noch abzuraten. Eine Toilette auf dem Gang stand eine komplette Nacht und den folgenden Tag unter Wasser, ohne dass sich jemand darum gekümmert hätte. Um 10.30 Uhr war das Frühstücksbuffet leergefegt und halb verwüstet, wir mussten ewig auf Brötchen, Eier und Käse waren. A toilet on the aisle stood a full night and the next day under water, without anyone taking care of it. By 10:30am the breakfast buffet was empty and half-destroyed, we had to live on Bread, Eggs and Cheese forever. The salami had obviously been mold-stained and the staff made an unmotivated, incompetent impression. At Carnival the beds were also shamelessly overcrowded.
Great location. It’s okay to stay just one night. The toilets and showers were quite dirty and smelly. Rooms were not really clean to be honest and there was a very unpleasant smell.
Passez votre chemin! J’ai connu des toilettes plus propres que cet hostel, qui n’en est pas vraiment un : pas de réfrigérateur, pas de coin cuisine, pas vraiment d’espace commun, donc aucune convivialité. Avec tout ça, ça ne doit donc être vraiment pas cher? Eh bien non, le prix est vraiment excessif pour cette « qualité ».
I've known cleaner toilets than this hostel, which isn't really one: no refrigerator, no kitchen corner, no really common space, so no conviviality. with all that, so it must be really cheap? well no, the price is really excessive for this quality .

To run away: did not correspond at all to the promise of a hostel: no kitchen, no microwave, no planned meals. we were a family and were put in a room or slept a man when we arrived in the middle of the afternoon: but suddenly paying more: we were able to have a room for the family only. the cleanliness is non-existent: just look at the elevator door and you will understand refund refused so 1 night spent instead of the planned 4.
even though the location is very useful and the rooms are good, the hostel was extremely dirty. there were piles of paper towels all over the bathrooms on the first floor, the floors were dirty and there were even blood stains on the door of one of the showers
Die Lage ist super. Die Person an der Rezeption nett. Aber: es roch unterirdisch (muffig, faule Eier), die Bäder waren uralt und sehr schlecht gereinigt. Der Zustand den die Bewohnenden hinterlassen haben, war zusätzlich besorgniserregend
The person at the reception was nice, but: it was underground (muffig, rotten egg), the bathrooms were old and very poorly cleaned, the condition the occupants left behind was additionally worrying.

It's a good place if you prioritize location over anything. However, the beds are stiff and the cleanliness is not on top. The connecting bar/restaurant was closed. There were no soap in the bathrooms, but you could ask for a small bottle.
the stay was nice, internet was great, close to the train station, the bar was closed, the walls are very thin, there is mold in the showers, the bathrooms hand no hand soap (super unhygenic) but close to a lot of restaurants

Very cheap, you get what you pay for. They don't provide towels or any toiletries, even hand soap I think is provided by guests. But overall not too bad. Just no Aircon if you're going when it's hot.
Felt very secure. The communal areas - toilets and showers were not as busy as I was expecting.
I rated this place in this way because of the lack of cleanliness. The bathrooms are terrible, I have to tell you the truth. The lockers are small and most of them don’t work. I haven’t slept for 2 days because of the men in my room that snored (in a manner i haven’t ever heard before). Either way, it was a quiet place and the location was great.

it's good if the sole purpose is connectivity to the station. otherwise poor bathroom facilities and lack of cleanliness in the common areas are best avoided. rooms were big and the bedding was clean and fine.
Stayed for 2 nights and would recommend booking for convenient location about 10 minute walk from Colgone HBF station and the dome. The property itself was a good hostel, it wasn't the cleanist but wasn't terrible either. The room we had initially booked didn't work out and the receptionist worked with us to get another room. Le point fort de l'auberge est son emplacement proche de la gare. Les draps sont relativement propres et j'ai parlé avec quelques personnes du staff fort sympathiques. C'est vraiment dommage que la terasse et la partie salle à manger ne soit pas disponible à toute heure. Il n'y a pas de frigo, ni de coin chill. Pour les oiseaux de nuit, il n'y a que votre chambre ou la rue en face de l'auberge pour chiller. Pour un pied à terre d'une nuit c'est suffisant mais pas plus.
The strong point of the hostel is its location near the station. The sheets are relatively clean and I have spoken with a few very friendly people from the staff. It is really a shame that the terrace and the dining area are not available at all hours. There is no fridge, no corner chill. For night owls, there is only your bedroom or the street in front of the hostel to chill. For a one night stand it is enough but no more.
it didn't feel like a 50€ stay. It felt like a 10€ stay to be honest. no soap, dirty and smelling wc also rooms smelling like sweat. we had to sleep with the window open. The staff was the only good thing in the hostel. They were so friendly and helpful. they need a real good promotion to be working there.

Overall this place is good for location, front staff were great. It was very noisy all the time. If you need a place to sleep that’s about all this place is good for. Bar staff the first night was helpful, but the second night the bartender didn’t even bother with us. We sat for 10 minutes with no help. That was disappointing.
