Oporto Sky Hostel

Faded glory… I do not understand the positive ratings for this hostel! It’s run down and old: the beds are uncomfortable without any privacy, there is no AC and the street is loud, so opening a window is not an option, the bathroom is rickety, the yard is not as nice as in the pictures, and the location is terrible! The only positive thing is the friendly staff.

Pretty ok, rooms are small and very airflow so get really hot at night. Staff wasn’t super friendly and only 2 bathrooms

They asked us to pay in Cash, which we felt very inappropriate. We already coming from long trip and went roaming for another 1.5 hours looking at ATMs. They should have informed us in advance. I would not call it as youth hostel, given old people were also given accommodation in the same hostel room.

A very homey hostel with friendly staffs give good vibes. Nothing fancy but all you need is there. Kitchen there helps all traveller love cooking their food

This was the worst hostel I’ve stayed at. The stairs to the basement bedroom are so bizzare and completely non functional for you to walk down with your bag. The basement room is also in the basement so you can see people’s feet and hear passers-by all night. The beds have no curtains and also is extremely close to the person next to you, you may as well be sleeping in the same bed.

La ubicación no es tan buena queda fuera del centro, las camas hacen mucho ruido y se mueven, los colchones son finos, los lockers son muy pequeños no entra el carryon, dejamos los bolsos en la recepción al hacer el checkout nos dijeron que salía 2€ X maleta (2) que pagábamos cuando retirábamos y nos cobraron 16€ por déjalas desde las 14hs hasta las 18hs 😨

the strangest hostel experience i’ve had the place seemed to be entirely empty besides two older men, one of whom spent the entire 48 hours i was there in bed, drinking i decided to leave and find accomodation elsewhere. staff were nice, but the person who checked me in was quite confused and couldn’t operate the payment machine so i had to get cash the owner reached out, which i was grateful for, and said the place was often busy. so consider other reviews, too, rather than just this on...

Bien située, cette auberge bénéficie d'un personnel sympathique et à l'écoute. Le gros bémol, ce sont les dortoirs. Je n'ai pas pu dormir de la nuit. Non pas à cause de mes voisins de chambrée, mais à cause du bruit de la rue : circulation, passages en trombe de véhicules, groupes qui parlent fort au dehors. La fenêtre du demi sous-sol étant entre ouverte pour ne pas que l'on suffoque, on entendait tout ou presque. Et le compteur d'eau était à 70 cm de ma tête. Il faisait du bruit...

My bed smelled like piss..

Good hostel, but honestly too expensive for what it is. On top of that they make you pay extra to keep your bag (which is usually free) and charge you 8€ city tax which is not included in the “total cost” you see in the website.

Ostello pulito e confortevole. Personale gentilissimo, wifi potente. Non è centralissimo, ma è comunque collegato bene in quanto a 2 minuti dalla fermata della metro.

This hostel was perfect! It was a bit empty when I was there due to it not being the busy season but I didn’t mind. Everything was very clean and the garden was wonderful. The beds squeak with movement. The locker was a bit too small for my luggage but was able to hold everything of importance. The hostel is a bit farther from the historical center but is right near a train station that’s very easy to access. The staff were so nice and had great recommendations.

Great service!!! Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the whole place felt like a home, absolutely no complaints and so grateful for the staff!

was only there for a night but i loved how comfortable and cozy the hostel felt! staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. very clean, really thoughtful space. felt like a home! beds weren’t that comfy but what do you really expect from a hostel! only thing is that no staff there at night which makes me feel a little nervous. some guys arrived at 4am to the hostel drunk and were being really loud & disturbing which made me anxious!

Ficamos apenas 1 noite porém foi uma das melhores estadias em todo Porto, recomendo 100%. Local limpo, organizado, seguro e silencioso. Com certeza voltaremos.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff!! Clean facilities, lovely garden area, comfy common area. Located an easy walking distance to the heart of Porto and right next to a metro stop with a direct line to the aiport. I stayed in a private room for a few nights and would gladly stay here again.

A Maria Luzia, a Manu e a Juliana revelaram-se excelentes anfitriãs, sempre prestáveis e simpáticas. Proporcionaram-me uma estadia acolhedora, fazendo-me sentir em casa e encerrando a minha viagem de forma memorável. O alojamento possui uma energia muito positiva e beneficia de uma localização privilegiada, no coração do Porto.

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at, felt like family, the owner is amazing and the staff are fantastic. If I could give more stars I would. If you come here expect to make friends and feel at home.

My experience with this hostel has been entirely positive. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the atmosphere among guests is warm and pleasant. It's just a 10-minute walk to the city center. There is a cozy lounge and an outdoor area. All in all, it's a very good hostel, especially for the price.

good stay with nice reception lady but i did get bit by bed bugs and it is a little far from the main city center.

minha estadia foi muito boa, a dona do hostel é super amável, o unico problema é que os chuveiros nao sao muito bons, mas de resto tudo perfeito. Plus pois tem andares separados para homens e mulheres, e isso me faz me sentir muito mais segura

Good location about a mile or less from many attractions. Nice, quiet hostel. Helpful staff. Shower space is a little small. I would stay here again. 2 pm check-in was appreciated. Good place to stay near the Camino.

The hostel is clean and quiet but it doesn’t have any social activities. The reception is not 24h so before you go out check if you can open the main door with the key, because i couldn’t. The rooms are small but it’s enough space. If you prefer a place to sleep and get some rest it’s perfect, but if you want to go out and meet people i would suggest going somewhere else

This hostel felt very homey. The owner is a sweet lady who went out of her way to accommodate our needs and provide a comfortable stay. The facilities were as clean as in a home and not shared with many people. The property is set not far from the city center, a 15 min walk. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook, also the common areas were a nice place to relax. The location was great too, easy to get around and the metro is pretty close. I’d definitely come back.
