Vang Vieng Freedom Hostel

had to change rooms because the door lock was broken, then I was offered to change rooms again because the WiFi stopped working on my floor, also the common area had no air con, really frustrating, one of the worst places I've stayed in my 3 months of travel....

By far the worst hostel I stayed at in Laos. Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and showed zero empathy. My private room was extremely dirty: unwashed sheets with a strong damp smell, mold everywhere, AC and hot water not working. When I was sick with a high fever and asked to change rooms, they ignored me. The whole place is disgusting and neglected. Absolutely filthy and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs

I stayed for one night and upon arrival there was someone who was complaining about very understandable complaints that were set aside. We agreed on a price, few hours later he came to find me and demanded more money. I said we’ll speak about it later as I was tired and I just gotten into bed. As soon as I came downstairs a few hours later he demanded again and not in a nice way I proceeded to figure out if I owed him money. - Our names were not in the system when we checked-in even though I had already paid - No water for a day in the toilets/showers - Broken toilets - The water didn’t drain in the shower - Cold rooms, bad blankets - When asked for compensation, the staff pretended their colleague hadnt told them about it and couldn’t do anything Terrible place, avoid it

Appalling facilities and dirty everywhere Mould on the bathroom/shower walls, inches of dust under the bed. No possibility to lock the door Felt quite unsafe

place is all round dirty and nothing works, showers dont even have holders norther does the toilet roll so just falls off. it's the cheapest place In town for a reason. I left a pair of expensive gym shorts on the room came back a day later when I realised and have magicly disappeared along with the kip in the pocket and with the 100s of people that will. have stayed there they don't even have a lost property bin... so your telling me no one has ever forgotten somthing.. Don't stay

Worst hostel maybe anywhere. Hair and trash everywhere, bed bugs, and used tp?? Stay here if u want to get sick.

L’indirizzo indicato era quello di un altro ostello, la struttura era in costruzione, sporca e vuota e nessuno c’era alla reception per cui abbiamo dovuto cambiare ostello.

This place was very disappointing. No atmosphere whatsoever. It was a really sketchy building at it felt very strange. No breakfast like stated, and the other hostel that offered “free” breakfast wasn’t free at all. I booked for 2 nights and had to go elsewhere after the first. Felt scared as a solo female traveler. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. Bathrooms weren’t clean. Wasn’t a vibe

I know it's a cheap place but there's a difference between basic and falling apart. Basic reparations wouldn't cost that much... There's not even soap for you to wash your hands. Despite that, the staff is nice and the free breakfast it's actually good

Couldn’t say anything bad about this hostel if I tried. Very friendly staff who are very keen to hear your feedback and make things as positive as possible and even offer discounted services such as the Ha Giang Loop too. Alongside the cheap prices and a perfect location, beds were also comfortable and fairly private as far as a hostel goes. 10/10

Lowkey the best hostel in Vang Vieng. Or ar least best cheap hostel. Breakfast included beds are ok. Only issue is that the water is freezing cold. But if you don’t mind that than i highly recommend it, other hostels around the corner are easily double the price and are definitely not much better besides having warm showers.

Estuvimos todo un día sin agua, así que imaginen la incomodidad y los baños! Se supone que son los mismos dueños de un hostal a la vuelta de la esquina, quise ir para usar los baños como me indicaron en recepción y al llegar el recepcionista del otro lugar muy molesto me negó la entrada diciendo que no era cierto y solo solían abusar de la alberca de su ho...

en général bien situé et bonne sécurité, mais les salles de bain pas nettoyé et la cuvette de toilette brisé

Rooms need renovation

Easy checking. Private room on the 4th floor was nice. Basically but very good in the price we paid.

Good location. Can use the pool at different hostel name Dragon house. They're not same owner so you should ask them

I felt safe and valued at this hostel, and enjoyed my two night stay in a mixed dorm. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Not bad but not the best

Pretty nice place to stay, everything was clean and well run and location was great

The girl was very friendly. The rooftop was nice view

Good value for your money. And great free breakfast
