Very Very unfriendly staff!

While the hostel was nice and had a great location in downtown, I unfortunately won't be returning. It was SO LOUD. For the price, the hostel really should have better soundproofing. The sounproofing was so bad you could hear people walking and talking on the floor above. I'm a heavy sleeper and not usually bothered by noises, but it was impossible to get a full night sleep as I would wake up every single time someone from the top floor tried to access their locker. We paid extra to have a private room with an en-suite and it was lovely…however they failed to mention that all private rooms are opposite the communal toilet and shower facilities which are all equipped with hairdryers. The noise was continuous throughout the night and was super loud. Would not recommend choosing the private to anyone! The staff offered us earplugs and a small discount for the inconvenience. The location was also terrible, so much so that we didn’t feel safe walking anywher...

Terrible location. Its 430 am and I cant believe I paid 100$ for a bunk bed located on the loudest street in Vancouver with the bass, the party crowd and police sirens keeping me up all night. You have to walk up at least 2 flights of stairs to your dorm. The breakfast is not worth the cost and they are cutting on their labor costs by making you undo your bed sheets in the morning. At this price, I was expecting better.

Very crowded, room towards main road incredibly loud (party until 2h30 outside every night), very loud air condition, 6 bed room very tiny, moved to another hostel in Vancouver (better value for money)

Receptionists we’re not welcoming, rooms were extremely warm, it was extremely noisy and in overall the condition was not pleasant and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Unfriendly staff! Except for my check inn night person. He was the only one who was ver friendly, the others don't seem like they are having a lot of fun. Breakfast times are way to short. The Crack pandemic is very visible around the whole neighbourhood. kitchen has a toaster that was half broken. So many people in the hostel, such a huge day rate, and not even having a proper toaster! Wifi was very good during my stay. The bed and room was very nice.

This was a rip-off low quality hostel stay120$/d. The bed was situated next to a club,even with earplugs it was vibrating.In a 6 bed dormitory there was no room for luggage and needed to open my backpack outside the room.During the night a random man slept/waited in front of the dorm room in the common area.I did not feel safe. The facilities were mediocre, as soggy underwear was laying in the both showers.Choose another hostel if you can. Neither staff nor management are answering my complain...

Tout était parfait sauf le bruit dans la chambre. J’avais une chambre qui donne sur la rue Grainville et c’était très bruyant jusqu’à 2 am même avec des bouchons. Résultat, je n’ai pas eu de grosses nuits de sommeil.

The location of the hostel is so central, literally a 10 minute walk from the train station.Easy to commute with the airportCaroline and Camila were so helpful, giving great suggestions, thank you so much again.The room was so lovely, clean, minimalist and the bed was so comfy.The breakfast was included, the food was so delicious and everyone was so friendly.High recommended

Good hostel. Lots of breakfast choices. The rooms were a bit poorly ventilated, so my room kind of smelled because of people’s clothes. Just needed some fresh air but windows don’t open. Staff was good and helpful. Great breakfast selection. Location is super! Walking distance to everything.

I had a good stay at Samesun overall. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable. The canyon tours they organise were also a highlight. However, as a solo female traveller, I didn’t feel entirely safe with the location. There is a drug housing support unit directly opposite the hostel, and I was approached twice by addicts. Clean comfortable and decent with a nice flow

Overall not super happy with my stay. Location is on the main downtown street so expect smoke shops, strip clubs, pubs and crackheads. Not unsafe but not great either to go out at night. The dormitories are pretty cramped and bunk beds do not offer enough height to just sit down comfortably. The entire furniture is made of metal, which is aesthetically pleasing but makes an awful lot of noise each time you touch something. Cleanliness is fine, trash bins could be emptied more often though.

Espacios comunes muy amplios, con todas las cosas que pudieses necesitar para prepararte comida. Es un lugar muy céntrico. Sin embargo, los homeless que se encuentran afuera del hostal causa un poco de inseguridad.

Solid hostel, might stay again, very lovley staff, slightly sketchy location but then you walk a block and it’s fine.

Fantastic stay, the breakfast was great and I met a lot of friends there. Beth took us to a guided tour to Lighthouse Park which was a lot of fun.

The cleanest Hostel I have ever been. Anytime kitchen and bathroom were super clean. Everything is well managed. Very good breakfast. Nice and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere, social but not party. They do way more than the minimum. I would always come back. Maybe you need earplugs if your room is to the Main Street but also the hostel provides them for free, which is very nice.

Despite being newly renovated the washroom and shower are so tiny and flooding. Water is accumulating on the floor with curled mat(trip hazzard). Noticeable dirty walls by the stairs and washroom walls. Smelly stairs it's seems not sanitized. Occuppancy is high but lots of washroom and shower is out of order on first floor. Lobby looks like dumpster as umbrellas are on pile. I hope they could do better during the renovation, bunk bed is made of metal- noisy and hard for upper bed to climb up.

Second time i a hostel. calgary and here. both experience were awesome. I just wanted to reach out and let you and anyone else loooking to stay therwe that it is a great place to be. Keep up all the great work. However there was a young woman who always had a chip on her shoulder. I didn't let it get to me but she was training a new girl at the time. The new young girl was very pleasant to deal with tho. The young girl's name is Camila and i think she was an awesome hire. old 1 declined

The 6 bed dorms are ridiculously small. Like ridiculous!! Lockers & beds are extremely loud. Same for doors. Breakfast is nice. Free towels & umbrellas is nice . Kitchen is nice Bathrooms are very small too, would be nice to have more room to put your stuff. Not enough hooks in the room (only one per bed, which is not enough for towels, jackets, etc. Especially in the winter) Staff was helpful and nice Suggestion to put shoes organizer next to room doors in the hallway to keep the smel...

Recommended hostel in Vancouver Good location, a room for four people, and I like that the bunk beds have curtains for a bit more privacy… The breakfast is basic but decent, and if I had to suggest an improvement, it would be that there aren’t enough showers and toilets on the first floor, and some were actually being serviced during my stay. Clean bed linen and free towels provided (much appreciated)

loud, understandable, maybe because i was in a room close to the stairs this was exacerbated. the staff were lovely, but cleaning was so loud! i get it, it’s a hostel but music in the middle of the day so loudly i could hear in my room was excessive. also leaving doors open during cleaning. metal beds - so loud and woke me multiple times. bedding was iffy, used own blanket on top of their bottom sheet as coated in hair. overall, nice enough as a solo female didn’t face any issues safety wis...

5 star facility I can't recommend this place enough! I stayed in March for 4 days. Check-in was at 2am due to the late flight, however I was quickly welcomed and completed check-in lightening-fast. The facility was overall top notch for the price. Breakfast— delicious coffee options, bagel, eggs, veggies and fruits. This seamless experience set the perfect tone for my stay!

Internet not good- couldn’t connect, unstable, very frustrating.

Stefani at the front desk helped me personally which was very kind. The staff were awesome and the facility is clean. Overall good spot to stay and lots to do!
