- The receptionist at the Harbour House, with long brown hair, told me that the private bathroom was fully booked for every hour of every day, for the entire duration of my stay, when I eagerly tried to book the private bathroom 🥺... Seeing that I was a single female traveller, I did not enjoy showering next to strange men I required on my departure, about the truth if the matter, and was assured that she lied to me 😭

- No preparado para Load shedding, hizo mucho calor y muy ruidoso, ya que ventanas abiertas y mucho ruido de los generadores de los otros comercios

+ The hostel is clean, well decorated and has a nice lounge area, good WiFi and hot powerful showers. It was really well located just 200m from the front and the on street parking was very convenient and felt safe enough.

- The cleaner was on her own planet. On the day we checked our, because our door was just resting closed, she walked straight into the room twice without knocking. Once I could forgive - she may have assumed we had left early, but twice? That's just not being professional and checking before waltzing in. The photos show a microwave in the communal area, but it's not there. No cooking facilities at all. A basic brain is outside for your use but it was too wet and windy for us this time. We stayed during an unprecedented storm which knocked out the power to the region. The winds were strong and the temperature was very cold inside the hostel. We asked on two occasions via booking.com and in person for some sort of heater. For 24hrs we didnt even get a response and then when we braved the weather to walk down the street to reception we were told they didn't have any. We weren't even offered a blanket or a hot drink. We were told that we would receive a WhatsApp message regarding the power outtage to keep us up to date, but that message never came. Honestly I think this place has great potential and in the summer months I'm sure its great, but they seem to want you to check in and then just stay out of their way. Would recommend on warm days for maybe a 1 night stay, but don't expect much service.

- The steep stairs up to the Hostel. 🫣 Room doors slamming closed during the night. 👎 Stoep unusable due to wind. 😡 No TV. 😞

+ The safety and freedom to come and go as we pleased.

- Consider installing aircon in the rooms. The little window only and fan in the room dont cool down the room that much when hot weather.

- The perfect location sea view

+ The location is perfect, walking distance from everything going on. The cleanest hostel I've seen and had everything we needed.

+ Extremely central. Close to cliff paths as well as good restaurants. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful shared spaces - sitting room; kitchen and balcony tables. Having the use of the roof top swimming pool / not in the property but close enough. (part of the same hotel group).

- Central means load music from nearby pubs - this did not bother me, but could bother others.

+ Das Hostel hat eine super Lage und ist mit einer großen Küche, einer Sofalandschaft und einer Terrasse ausgestattet. Ich hatte ein Zweibettzimmer gebucht, was sehr großzügig war. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers war eher spartanisch, aber außerordentlich sauber und mit zwei Einzelbetten, Tisch mit zwei Stühlen, einem Kühlschrank, Schrank ausreichend eingerichtet. Parken kann man einfach auf der Straße oder dem nahegelegenem Parkplatz. Der Preis war im März für eine Nacht für ein Doppelzimmer zur alleinigen Nutzung unschlagbar.
