- Pretty much everything, the details: The girl at the reception was extremely unfriendly and not helpful answering questions. Our room had no window, only a mosquito net directly to outdoors (no privacy!). During the night a dog barked from 11pm until 2am in the night and also in the morning from 5am (+ loud birds at 5am), so we couldn't sleep at all! When we complained at the reception, they just replied: "We didn't hear anything." The breakfast is definitely not good (fruits too soft and only fried or scrambled eggs as an option. The juice is not good. Coffee only without milk). Additionally we got the opposite of what we ordered ...and there was hair in the scrembled eggs! They charge 5000 pesos for a towel and the bedshieds were not clean. There are no blankets. The pool is not clean. There are always two dogs inside the hostel, which interrupted/annoyed us, when eating. Wifi doesn't work good. If you wan't to go to the bathroom during the night, you might wait 1/2 hour, because there are only two bathrooms inside the building for a bunch of people! We definitely can't immagine, where the good reviews of this place come from?! There are much better places in Leticia for nearly the same price. Avoid going there!

- Las habitaciones no tiene aire acondicionado, ni televisión, huelen amarihuana a feo. No hacen limpieza de habitaciones, las camas son súper feas a como se ve en las fotos, la piscina cochina.Cogi una promocion que por error no leí donde el baño era compartido, luego pagué el extra para tomar una mejor habitacion, tenía su propio baño pero ninguna de las dos habitaciones tenía aire acondicionado y ni televisión Y el precio no se ajusta a los servicios prestados. - When i was checking out they say that i did not payed for stay, I showed them the confirmation number on booking, and they say we do not accept payments from the app After i payed via the app. So i paid them cash. Property I paid double, cuz they didn’t clear the point from the beginning.

+ The hotel is very low priced so you may go for it but they try and fleece you with tours which you can get for a fraction of the money with local tours (1/4 th price for budget tour, and half price for luxury tours with outside operators).

- - Terribly mismanaged - The place is run entirely by volunteers and those who did take the hotel run tours are disappointed since they engage volunteers from “world packers” as translators who have barely a smattering of English so you miss out on most stuff. My fellow travelers - Mark and Maria took a 3 day tour with an English translator who they said could barely string a sentence in English - a volunteer from Spain on a world packer volunteer with the hotel. So if they overcharge at least you can feel ok if someone who can speak English gives you a tour! The smart way to stay here at this hostel as I realised from other travelers is to book tours with local tour operators at half the price than what casa de la palmas charges. There too in my case when I booked with another operator, the hostel goofed up due to communication errors with the tour agency causing a loss of an entire day for me. The volunteer at the hostel had not responsibly given contact details of another staff to tour agency and he was out of network in the Amazon. Highly irresponsible. The owners refused to take ownership of this goof up. The owners are arrogant which is the worst part with volunteers complaining about owners as well, and owners passing the blame on volunteers - no one takes responsibility for goof ups, which are numerous. Fortunately I had budgeted extra days so I was fine, but if not, may have missed going into the Amazon entirely as tours operate only on specific dates etc. To boot, my soft plush Turkish towel was stolen from the hostel. So, net net, the hostel is mismanaged cos of being run entirely by volunteers with no regular staff at the reception who can take accountability and be present to help you. Volunteers from worldpackers leave for some other country when you run into efficiency issues and owners wash off their hands seeing only $ signs in you with very less genuine concern for the welfare of tourists.

+ Creo que lo único bueno es el precio. El personal es cero amable, el desayuno es nefasto, y las habitaciones son super acaloradas y sin buena ventilación, son camas incomodas y duras. Además, ponen gente en recepción que no sabe nada, ni saben como cobrar etc.

- El personal es cero amable, el man que atiende se la pasa en hamacas y no pendiente de nada. Ni es capaz de ayudar a gestionar un taxi, ni estan pendientes de nada, y no es amable. Además, paga uno por los cocteles y ni tienen los ingredientes y toca esperar una eternidad. Nefasto, mejor quedense en otro sitio, uno ni puede dormir bien alla, en esos cuartos oscuros, sin ventilación y con camas duras. Ni habalr del desayuno, es un huevo frito, una tajada de pan blanco partida a la mitad y cero fruta o algo de beber frio. Mejor quedense en Puerto Nariño, alla si sirven desayuno al emnos con fruta de la región amazónica.

+ La habitacion (sin contar el baño) era acogedora

- El baño estaba extremadamente sucio, lleno de pelos y suciedad por las paredes y suelo. Ademas no habia jabon. El servicio fue pesimo por varias razones: 1. Mala comunicación del staff. Estaban jugando a la play cuando llegamos y estaban mas pendientes de su partida que de nosotros. 2. Solicitamos un taxi para ir al aeropuerto, y despues de esperarlo durante 10 minutos nos tuvimos que ir andando con todas las maletas a la plaza ya que nunca llego a venir. Ademas al chico de recepcion que teoricamente se habia “encargado” de que tuviesemos el taxi le dio absolutamente igual que no llegara. Casi perdemos el vuelo por culpa de esto. 3. No nos informaron bien de la hora del desayuno, y la mujer que lo llevaba fue bastante maleducada con nosotros Ademad añadir que la piscina y zonas comunes estan muy dejadas, haciendo que no sea del todo agradable estar en el hotel. En resumen: sucio y muy mal servicio por parte del personal.

+ La piscina és gegant i imprescindible per els calorosos dies a leticia. Les habitacions estan netes i són grans i cada llit compta amb el seu propi ventilador!

+ Loved the pool and the vibe was really laidback, lots of organised tours’ options as well and close to the supermarket.

- It’s a bit outside of the center and quite dark at night to walk back (although safe!).
