Der Besitzer „Markus“ war extrem aggressiv, hat uns angeschrien, respektlos behandelt und uns mitten in der Nacht trotz gültiger Buchung aus dem Hostel geworfen. Wir standen plötzlich nachts ohne Unterkunft in Paris da. Danach wurden unsere E-Mails ignoriert und Markus hat uns sogar auf WhatsApp blockiert, damit er das Geld für die nicht genutzten Nächte nicht zurückzahlen muss. The owner Markus was extremely aggressive, wrote us, treated us disrespectfully and threw us out of the hostel in the middle of the night despite a valid Booking. we suddenly found ourselves in Paris without a place to stay at night. our e-mails were ignored and Markus even blocked us on WhatsApp so he wouldn't have to pay back the money for the unused nights. to this day no refund, no apology.
Mala experiencia. Llegamos el día de la reserva a las 14h y no había recepción ni nadie que nos atendiera. Estuvimos llamando y timbrando sin respuesta. Tras varios intentos, alguien nos escribió diciendo que no podía hablar por llamada y que la habitación no estaba lista. Volvimos a las 17h y tampoco contestaban. A las 18h nos dieron el código de entrada. No había papel, ni toallas y había cucarachas. Pagamos en efectivo y no nos dieron el cambio. No es seguro, no os fieis, no vayáis.
Bad experience. We arrived on the day of the reservation at 2pm and there was no reception and no one to attend. We were calling and ringing without answer. After several attempts, someone wrote to us saying they couldn't talk on the phone and that the room wasn't ready. We returned at 5pm and they didn't answer either. At 6pm we were given the entry code. There was no paper, no towels and there were cockroaches. We paid cash and they didn't give us the change. Not safe, not os fieis, not vayái...
Avoid Kiez Hostel. From 11 PM to 2:30 AM, the owner hosted a loud party below the rooms. When I asked him to lower the music for my early flight, he became hostile, told me threatened to play it louder to punish me. I had to involve the police. The room was terrible: no soap, one towel for two people, broken heating, and a heavy smoke smell. The owner was drunk and unprofessional. Save your money and stay somewhere safe where the staff doesn’t intentionally harass guests.
Lenzuola luride (con macchie e cimici), stanza senza cuscini, piumone e asciugamani, specchio rotto e letto pericolosamente instabile, carta igienica indecente. Il titolare, anziché rimediare, ha reagito urlando in modo intimidatorio e ordinandomi di lasciare la struttura! Nessun dialogo, solo minacce e un sarcastico "buonanotte". Un'esperienza violenta e disgustosa. Sulla base di altre recensioni, il comportamento aggressivo è una costante. STATE ALLA LARGA!
Laminate sheets (with stains and bedbugs), room without cushions, piumone and asciugamani, broken mircchio and dangerously unstable bed, indecent hygiene letter. il titolare, anziché rimediare, ha reagito urging in an intimidating manner and ordering me to leave the facility! no dialogue, only threats and a sarcastic "buonanotte". a violent and disgusting experience. based on other reviews, the aggressive behavior is a constant. state ALLA LARGE!
Encontramos de início um senhor mal encarado que praticamente entregou a chave e o código da porta sem acrescentar nada. Os corredores totalmente sujos; apenas 1 cama casal (contratei 2 de solteito); o lençol estava com aparência de usado, e apenas 1 travesseiro fedido; o banheiro sem toalhas, e com a lixeira cheia de papel higiênico usado. Como era tarde, tomamos banho e nos enxugado com nossas camisetas. No dia seguinte, pedimos e nos deram 2 toalhas e mais 1 cobertor. Mas não limpara...
We first encountered a mean-looking gentleman who practically handed over the key and the door code without adding anything. The hallways were totally dirty; only 1 double bed (I hired 2 single-handed); the sheets looked like they were used, and only 1 smelly pillow; the bathroom was without towels, and with a trash can full of used toilet paper. As it was late, we took a bath and wiped ourselves with our T-shirts. The next day, we asked and were given 2 towels and 1 blanket. But we didn't clean...
Sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nie wieder! Ich war für drei Nächte im Kiez Hostel Paris und war schon bei der Ankunft schockiert über den Zustand des Zimmers. Der Boden war dreckig, das Waschbecken voller Haare und die Matratze so verschmutzt, dass ich sie umdrehen musste, um überhaupt darauf schlafen zu können. Die Sauberkeit war insgesamt sehr schlecht. Die Lage ist in Ordnung – mit Bus und Metro kommt man gut in die Stadt, das war der einzige positive Punkt. Leider war das Pers...
Very disappointing stay never again! i stayed for three nights in the kiez hostel paris and was already shocked upon arrival by the condition of the rooms. the floor was very dirty, the wash basin full of hair and the mattress so dirty that i had to turn it over to even sleep on it. the cleanliness was overall very bad. the situation is in order by bus and metro you get into the city well, that was the only positive point. unfortunately the staff was extremely unfriendly
It was supposed to be a 24 hours check-in. I arrived at 2:30 am and found door closed, and no instructions. I called the owner in the afternoon to confirm I could arrive in the night. So I can't rate this hostel as I was left alone in the street in the middle of the night. After 45min of trying to reach out to someone, the door opened and the owner started to insult me. Please, run away.

Very bed experience, the place is very old and dirty and should be closed forever or until it have the right conditions to rent to the public. I rented a room for four nights and couldn’t stay in the room one night because of the bad cleaning and smell. And I am asking for my money back 😖

So many of the reviews are very negative, and i understand why, but we needed a cheap place to stay for 2 nights in a cool neighborhood and this was totally sufficient. Check in was a little confusing, but when I emailed the owner saying we were having trouble getting in, he saw it right away and came to open the door for us. Our room had clean sheets and towels. It was quite musty smelling, but not dirty at all. The bathroom down the hall was small but fine.
I honestly do not really understand the bad reviews. The owner send me all the details on how to get inside the building etc. The room was clean (it was a bit hot though, heating couldnt be turned off, but I just opened the windows). Its close to the metro, so super handy. I didnt see or speak with the owner in person but thats also not something I felt needed to happen. Overall great experience!
Fiquei receosa no início por alguns comentários que li porém não tenho o que falar. O anfitrião foi atencioso, o local estava limpo e não tivemos problemas com barulho apesar de ser um bar embaixo.e hospedei em dia de semana talvez o barulhos só aconteça em datas específicas ou em final de semana, posteriormente alguém que se hospede nessas datas poderá avaliar. I was apprehensive at first for some comments which I don't have much to say about. the host was attentive, the place was clean and we had no problems with noise despite being a bar downstairs. i stayed on weekdays maybe the noise only happens on specific dates or on weekends, later someone who stays on these dates can evaluate. the location is good and the neighborhood too, has a place to eat and near public transportation like buses. the metro has to walk a bit.

This place was honestly brilliant. After reading the reviews me and my friend were quite nervous. The owner came out to meet us on the street to give us the code to the building, he was very friendly and accommodating with any requests we had. The room itself was clean, warm and comfortable, its location puts it close to metro stations and shops for groceries etc. overall we were very happy with our stay here and would definitely come back in future.

I had a nice stay here but we weren’t given the correct code or phone number prior to arrival so when I arrived at the hostel I had no way of entering, the owner didn’t pick up the phone for about 30 minutes so I was stood outside waiting for a little while. Nice flat, floor sticky
Haben vier Nächte dort verbracht, das Zimmer war einigermaßen sauber, alles wichtige (außer Mülleimer) vorhanden, Toilette war zwar dauerhaft kalt wegen offenem Fenster, aber sonst wirklich gute Lage und wenn man dort nur ist zum schlafen/fertigmachen ein wirklich gutes Hostel für den Preis!
Have spent four nights there, the room was fairly clean, everything important (except Mülleimer) was present, toilet was permanently cold because of the open window, but otherwise really good location and if you are only there to sleep/prepare an really gutes Hostel für den Preis!

Besitzer extrem unfreundlich und nicht entgegenkommend. Zimmer bis um 16Uhr ohne Entschuldigung nicht beziehbar. Keine Rezeption vorgefunden oder Mitarbeiter bei der Anreise, auch niemand telefonisch erreichbar. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Einrichtung vor allem im Bad sehr heruntergekommen. Kein Spiegel im Bad vorhanden. Pro Person gab es nur ein Handtuch, keine Seife oder Haartrockner vorhanden.
Owner extremely unfriendly and uncomfortable. Room not available until 4pm without Apology. No reception found or Staff on arrival, no one can be reached by phone. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Deck especially in the bathroom very low. No Mirror in the bathroom available. Per Person there was only one Handkerchief, no Soap or Haartrockner available.

They didn't respond to the email I sent days before about leaving my luggage before check-in. As a result, I arrived not knowing what to do with my luggage. Suddenly, the owner arrived yelling and insulting, saying he would only attend after check-in time. I understand that some places may not accept to keep luggage, but it would be important to give advance notice and, at the very least, be reasonable to respond to emails and politely decline the request.

This was such a great place to stay! I had some questions in my mind because there are a lot of bad reviews here, but I suspect a lot of those are from people who have never stayed in a hostel before and are suffering from some version of “Paris syndrome.” I thought this place was fantastic. I have to say that I had no complaints! The room (a double private with shared bathroom) was super clean and cute and the beer garden is a totally lovely place to hang out.
