Orange Terrace Hostel

You don't feel like home at this hostel. Staff are dumb with people. They don't talk to us. Few activities are planned to meet people. Also, in the hostel you have rules posted everywhere and you have to respect them that's fine, but the rules just don't make sense. It’s also important to mention that if you break a rule you must pay an amount of money. Like, if you go out after 23:00, without informing the staff, you have to pay money. You can't have more than one person in the kitchen to coo...

Lage war okay, Außenbereich und Terrasse waren auch schön. Leider haben wir das allerschlimmste Zimmer von allen bekommen… kein richtiges Fenster, die Betten haben gequietscht, keine Klima und die Kästen für die privat Sachen war ein schlechter Scherz. Leider haben wir auch eine sehr unangenehme Erfahrung mit dem Personal gemacht, da João sehr unfreundlich war zu uns am vorletzten Tag. Allgemein hat man nicht das Gefühl das sie arbeiten, sondern eher so wie die anderen im Hostel, Urlaub ...

It's hard to tell on the booking apps, but note that MOST OF THIS HOSTEL IS OUTDOORS. Just the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and reception are under a roof. The common spaces (couches, bar, eating spaces, etc) are outside. If that had been more clear, I wouldn't have come here because we had a lot of rain during my stay and almost everything was damp all the time. It just never felt clean. When I arrived, it was still too early to check in so I put my stuff in storage and asked to use the restroom. The hostel said no, they wouldn’t even let me in at all until 3pm because they were cleaning, that I need to use a cafe down the road. I paid a decent amount for this hostel and the bathrooms are in the common spaces! They wouldn’t even let me in to pee? Also there’s no AC. They start cleaning at 10 or earlier so no sleeping in and basically force you to checkout early.

Betten nicht sehr stabil, wackeln wenn sich die Person über einem bewegt. Türen können nicht abgeschlossen werden. Während meines Aufenthalts war auch ein Hund dort. Keine Klimaanlage. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber. Schöne & gemütliche Common Area. Albufeira leider keine Empfehlung, sehr geprägt von britischem Fußball-Sauf-Tourismus.

The lockers aren’t big enough to fit a bag. I couldn’t lock up my stuff. I hade to take my valuables out and put them in the tiny locker. They wanted me to pay €10 to stay after checkout. They made an exception cuz I was only staying 2 hours but I thought that was wild thing to charge for.

The staff is kind of unfriendly and unhelpful. First things they tell you after the check in are the rules for every area. If you want a comfy and clean bed it's a good place to stay. The vibe isn't really welcoming.

Nice little hostel in old Town. Location is perfect. Hostel is very clean and well managed.

Stayed there for one night so maybe I’m judging too harshly. But there wasn’t really much of an atmosphere at all. The hostel was nice and the staff were really friendly. I think if you were going to stay here, try and stay for at least 2/3 nights. I didn’t really experience much of an atmosphere at all unfortunately! Apart from that, it was really nice!

I really liked the Orange Terrace Hostel. It was very clean, had large showers and a nice kitchen. The rooftop terrace is very cozy and pretty, and they provide drinks at very reasonable prices! Perhaps they can increase their menu with some cocktails as well? They are very strickt with their 23h00 quiet-time, which stimulates you to go out fast. Only remark is no airconditioning in the rooms, which make them a bit hot too sleep at night. Beds have privacy-curtains and are comfortable.

Je recommande à 1000 % cette auberge. L'emplacement est parfait car il est à 150 mètres du centre-ville, donc facile pour y aller mais assez loin pour ne rien entendre la nuit. Je suis française et nous avons passées une semaine à Albufera et c'était incroyable et même au mois de mai tout le monde est chaleureux content. Perfect old town location - 5min walk to the lively areas but away from the noise for a good nights sleep, staff were super friendly and the hostel had such a lovely calm vibe to it, roof top is a gorgeous sun trap. Cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in with the best showers!

Amazing social hostel! Cleanest one I’ve seen and also had a private bathroom which is a nice perk! Rooftop social space was perfect for meeting people and hanging out in the evenings. Loved my time here and the volunteers were absolutely wonderful and made me feel very welcome 😊 Thank you!!

it was nice, i liked the rooftop area. nothing special, didnt change my life. easy going. the location is on a hill, which is a bit weird but it was nice. overall didnt like albufeira that much tho , not the fault of the hostel , the beds were comfy and had good chargers

Très cute hostel ! Personnel accueillant. Chambre plutôt grande avec case individuelle. Très proche de la vie nocturne sans que ce soit dérangeant.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, arranged a great trip to picnic on the beach and go cliff jumping. The hostel itself is next to the old town but nice and quiet with a very relaxed vibe and good social spaces. Highly recommend

Mooi en verzorgd. Het personeel mengt zich mee onder de bezoekers wat zorgt voor een huiselijk sfeer.

Super auberge! Le personnel est accueillant et la terrasse sur le rooftop est sympa.

Super soziales Hostel mit verschiedenen Aktivitäten, sehr sauber und alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett. Die Betten haben inzwischen Vorhänge. Der einzige Nachteil meiner Meinung nach: man hat nicht die Möglichkeit, nach dem Check-Out noch im öffentlichen Bereich des Hostels zu bleiben, sondern muss es direkt verlassen (die Koffer können dort untergebracht werden) - das kenne ich so von keinem Hostel. Ansonsten war es ein wundervoller Aufenthalt und ein schöner Ort!

Really enjoyed my stay here, staff were so helpful and lovely. The rest of the people in the hostel were friendly and the terrace was a really nice place to chill. The curtains around the bed was a really nice touch for added privacy and all the facilities were to a really good standard. Loved the fact you could borrow stuff for the beach as well. My one note was that the room did not have air con which was quite uncomfortable in the heatwave, but even so I would definitely recommend this hostel...

the staff were so friendly and the hostel was extremely clean. very well located and good areas for meeting people! no A/C which was a struggle when the temperate was very hot but otherwise a fantastic place and i loved my time here!

This is a lovely hostel in a great location! The staff clearly take pride in the upkeep of it and were at hand when any help was needed. The rooftop terrace is also really nice with a well stocked bar! If you do not cope well in the heat, it can get very hot so that’s something to bear in mind as the dorms do not have individual fans. I would absolutely recommend this hostel though. Bonus points for an adorable hostel dog too!

Such a nice hostel. The most helpful genuine staff. They all have great energy and are so sweet. Not a party hostel, which I wanted, and it truly was the perfect place to relax, use it as a home base to go to beaches a bit further away. Truly felt comfortable here. Fell in love with Sunny too, the sweetest hostel dog. I can def recommend this place!
