- We have been forced by the system to book 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids (1 year old and 7 year old). When we arrived, the hotel stuff asked us why, as there was no need. We have complained. The hotel stuff promised the refund since it was a prepaid booking. After 3 weeks we did not get anything. Breakfast service is extremely slow. Bathroom in the room wasn’t clean properly when we arrived.

- Onhygiënisch / avond personeel onbeschoft. De eerste kamer die ik kreeg had putjes geur. Toen hebben ze mij een andere kamer aangeboden. Toen ik in de douche kwam lag deze vol met lange haren. Ze gingen dit doorgeven aan de eigenaar. Wat gebeurde vervolgens; ze hebben aan booking doorgegeven dat ik daar nooit verbleven ben! Booking stuurde me een bericht dat ze dit melden. Ze hadden uiteraard schrik dat ik een reactie ging schrijven.!

+ Location was convenient
- The receptionist woman was forgetting everything we asked for, we mentioned that the pool was very dirty full of fungus, and were asking for a cleaning, which turned out to be a great problem. We booked the hotel for the pool, but didnt manage to swim in it for 3(!) days. Very disappointing. The receptionist lady clearly needs a training how to satisfy guest.

The reception was cold and unprofessional. The staff behaved in an unprofessional manner, smoking inside the building, playing loud music, and not attending to guests’ needs. There was no Wi-Fi and no hot water for showers. The beds were heavily worn out to the point where the metal frame could be felt through the mattress. The rooms were overall in very poor condition. Most importantly: according to our booking confirmation with Hostelworld (see attached), breakfast was included. However...
Some things are opinions and they can be different for each person. So for example mattresses too soft, lack of hooks in the shower, having people playing music and talking loud until 1am, these are things one appreciate or doesn't appreciate and it's not a good reason to give a bad review. But seeing the cleaning lady folding the bed sheet and put it in the bed for the next person to use it, without washing it ... Well this is a little too much for me. And it's a pity because the staff are ama...
We had a really bad experience. The hostel doesn’t look like the pictures at all. There is one small sink for the whole floor and no space to put your belongings. The hostel dorms smell bad and the bed sheets have stains everywhere. There was a needle in my mattress !!? this was very painful and is absolutely irresponsible. The breakfast is dry and not enjoyable:/ And the staff is mostly rude. I would never go back and don’t recommend this hostel to anyone.

+ Prachtig hotel op een prachtige locatie, het ontbijt is super en het personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
- Het zwembad is heerlijk al lijkt het onderhoud rondom wat achterstallig te zijn.
+ Location was excellent. The two young gentlemen ( particularly YaYa )in the restaurant were extremely helpful and polite.
- There was no proper seating ( a "bed" with cushions is not seating) and there were no storage facilities in our room . The weather was awful and it was windy and cold. There was no heating and neither of the 2 shutters closed properly. Personality lacking at reception.
+ Great location in the heart of the medina but also relatively quiet. Lovely decor and feel to the hotel. Staff were very helpful when we asked for information but would have been good if we'd been given information at the start eg about the hotel's amenities, things nearby. Shame hairdryer didn't work and no replacement available. Breakfast was perfect and service very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we return to Essaouira but a few tweaks would make it even more enjoyable.
- More information from the staff at the start of our stay would have been helpful. Eg It was only at the end that we realised we could order drinks & snack.
+ La propreté de la chambre et de l'hôtel en général. Les lits étaient confortables. Le petit déjeuner était trop bon et copieux. L'emplacement était super centré.
- La salle de bain est ouverte alors si on est entre amis, c'est pas pratique. Mais c'est un détail !

+ La decoración moderna del riad
- Hay que saber que no hay ascensor ( como en todos los riads) así que hay que subir con maletas bastantes escaleras. La piscina estaría en un cuarto piso. Nuestra habitación era algo húmeda y las almohadas no muy cómodas.
+ Bardzo dobre śniadanie, rewelacyjna lokalizacja blisko włoskiej resatauracji gdzie podają wino. Czysto, pokój rewelacyjny z wanną i osobnym prysznicem

+ El trato del personal muy bueno.
- Habitación en tercer piso sin ascensor. Estando catalogado como 5 estrellas es inconcebible. Sion bar no cafetería. Sin poder comer ni cenar es frustrante.
+ We liked it's location in the medina and the "sun roof". Breakfasts were excellent.
- The stairs but these must be expected in this type of building.

- After guests banging doors to close why I don't know ,no consideration and talking loud in the reception and at breakfast just tell the cheff and waiting staff what you would like ,I especially like the fruit prepared for me ,strawberries banana and kiwi realy fresh
