The hostel itself is in a perfect position to visit the sanctuary but it has a lot of cons. The shared room where I've slept (6 dormitory mixed) it was very hot and not much space apart from the beds. The cleaninless of both room and toilet was very bad. I've heard from other girls sleeping in the same room were complaining about this. You almost have no air to breathe. Overall a part from the position I would not recommend this hostel.
We stayed in 2 different rooms because we went hiking for a day. The 1st room was quite unpleasant. One part of the wall was spectacularly moldy (black mold) and the bathroom room floor was constantly wet. The beds were comfy enough but weirdly hard to climb and uncomfortably short. I'm 188cm and allowing some space for a pillow my feet were up against the wall. The space between the beds was also very cramped. The 2nd room was nicer but there was no shower curtain. However, staff was very nice.
L'ambiance est vraiment décevante, il n'y a même pas de salle commune où se poser pour éventuellement faire des rencontres. Et de toute manière les gens n'étaient pas très aimables, personne ne m'a renvoyé mes bonjours. le ménage est fait mais les chambres sont vétuste et sentent vraiment pas bon. a noté que vous aurez une salle de bain pour la chambre de 6 donc si vous voulez allez au toilettes quand quelqu'un se douche, il faut descendre dans le hall de réception.
The atmosphere is really disappointing, there is not even a common room to land to eventually make meetings. and anyway the people were not very friendly, no one sent me back my greetings. the cleaning is done but the rooms are old and really don't smell. noted that you will have a bathroom for the 6 bedroom so if you want to go to the toilet when someone is taking a shower, you have to go down to the reception hall.
Auberge déconseillée pour le pèlerinage national. Il n'y a pas de garantie qu'on sera logé avec des personnes du national. Nous sommes tombés sur une personne qui avait un comportement extrêmement inadéquat (limite dangereux) et l'auberge n'a rien pu faire.
There is no guarantee that you will be accommodated with nationals. we came across a person who had extremely inadequate behavior (dangerous limit) and the hostel could not do anything.
Après 11h de trajet, on ne s'attend pas à faire crash-test dans le logement qu'on a réservé. L'auberge est située dans une aile de l'hôtel 3* Sainte Rose. C'est en cours de rénovation, sac poubelle dans le couloir, tapisserie qui pend, simple vitrage, pas de vmc ou de climatisation. Même si des améliorations sont prévues, trop de lits dans les dortoirs et peu de place pour les bagages, ou même ouvrir son casier. 11h drive, you don't expect to crash-test in the accommodation you have booked. the hostel is located in a wing of the 3* Sainte Rose hotel. it is under renovation, garbage bag in the hallway, hanging tapestry, simple glazing, no vmc or air conditioning. even if improvements are planned, too many beds in the dorms and little room for luggage, or even opening its locker. a communication problem between the teams and intervention during my stay after

The location and staff were incredible! Very centrally located and easy to get to and from the hostel via public transport. And the staff were very kind and helpful. Only down side was that the dorm rooms were very tight, and in the late June heat of Southern France this made the rooms very hot. Fortunately they did have standing fans in the room.
Me aloje en una habitación compartida de mujeres, a la que el WiFi no llegaba. Cama cómoda, con cortinas , lo cual es muy bueno. Por las noches hizo frío y la calefacción no funcionaba! Solo pudieron darme una frazada, ante mi reclamo. Respecto a la ubicación, es lejos de la estación, pero esta a metros de la Basílica.
I stayed in a shared room for women, which did not have WiFi access. comfortable bed, with curtains, which is very good. at night it was cold and the heating did not work! they could only give me a blanket, before my complaint. regarding the location, it is far from the station, but it is meters from the Basilica.
It’s a cheap hostel so you get what you pay for - the dorms are tiny and there is not enough space to stand in front of your drawer and open it fully. The bathroom was a bit dingy and not super clean. The location is good for accessing all the main sites in Lourdes. The bed was fine. It’s not really a social vibe. It’s a good place if you want a cheap spot just to sleep and go out and do your own thing all day.
El personal realmente te explica, ayuda, y es muy servicial. La verdad creo que fue lo mejor del hospedaje, la muy buena disposición con la que tratan a los huespedes. Las camas son comodas si, especialmente si estas agotado. No probel el desayuno pero 8 euros por el desayuno me parecio excesivo.
The staff really explain you, helpful, and very helpful. i actually think it was the best thing about the accommodation, the very good disposition with which they treat the guests. the beds are comfortable yes, especially if you are exhausted. no probel the breakfast but 8 euros for breakfast seems excessive to me.

Great location in the heart of Lourdes, staff were very helpful and accommodating, and helped to move me into a different room with a bottom bunk because I have a broken foot. Thank you!

great location, great price, great cleanliness, helpful staff 24/7. roof top blacony was my favourite part. only con was no air conditioning in the rooms at 30°C+ weather and the size of the room is very deceiving when compared to the photos. like really, really deceiving. normally, for the price, i do not care, but for lack of transparency i do. overall, i loved my stay, i just didn't sleep, like, at all, but that's all part of the experience 👌

The best place to stay in lourdes
Excellent place to stay. Nice bathroom attached to the room. Walking distance to the main pilgrim site the Grotte.
L’établissement est très bien placé ! En revanche, c’est dommage de ne pas avoir une cuisine partagée et des espaces communs pour les membres de l’auberge. Cependant, l’établissement est très propre et le personnel est à l’écoute. Je recommande !
The hotel is very well located! however, it is a pity that it does not have a shared kitchen and common areas for the members of the hostel. however, the establishment is very clean and the staff is attentive. i recommend it!

The dorms are the old part of the hotel that is not renovated. It has a nice charme somehow, but there was not so much love to the details... The bunk beds were in good quality, but it was not really possible to use the locker shelves, because they stuck between bed and carpet... A big minus was that I had to pay 5€per day for storing my bicycle...was the only place in 3 months traveling through France. At all it's a good and clean hotel with dormitories for a good price but without hostel v...

It’s a nice idea to turn an old hotel into a hostel. The atmosphere is still like being in a ancient hotel. At the same time it’s practical, calm and simple. Thank you!
