Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko

The facilities were nice and relaxing to sit in the lounge. The bed was comfy in the 4 bed dorm. The rooms were a little noisy due to the sliding doors.

J'ai séjourné dans un dortoir avec ma fille. À 10min à pieds de la gare, dans un quartier residentiel très calme. Petite cuisine pour se préparer un petit déjeuner ou un petit repas. Bar-restaurant. Petit jardin pour prendre son repas. Informations sur les horaires de bus vers le mont Fuji. Belles rencontres et échanges avec d'autres backpackers autour des activités à faire. Par exemple tour du lac Kawaguchiko à vélo (plusieurs loueurs aux abords de la gare). Je recommande !

Great place to stay and very clean beds. The atmosphere was a bit dead and the hostel was a bit far from the city.

Établissement agréable avec un personnel souriant et à l’écoute. Facile d’accès et très bien situé. Nous étions, mon amie et moi, dans une chambre mixte et il manquait tout de même de rangement sécurisé. Restaurant de qualité avec des prix honnêtes. Très bon séjour.

Comfy beds and great vibe but no key to the room or locker unless you buy or have your own padlock. Otherwise great hostel.

Hostel magnifique, rénové et propre. Personnel très accueillant et aidant. Par contre, les chambres sont peu isolées, on entend bien le bruit du corridor et des toilettes dans le dortoir. Aussi, pas beaucoup de chauffage lors de la nuit, donc habillez vous chaudement pour dormir.

Stayed here for a few days before climbing mt fuji, the the beds a re super comfy and the hostel has a really nice atmosphere overall, met some amazing people and all the staff are great, its only 5 min walk away from the train and bus station and the hostel has a very nice bar with a great view of mount fuji

Such an amazing hostel! The front desk has such a great view of Fuji, just walk out the front and there he is🤩 Facilities are very clean and it’s about a 5-10 min walk from the station. The night we went was pretty chill so there wasn’t heaps of atmosphere, but I can imagine in a busy time there would be big potential for some a great time. Nadal I was AWESOME, she spoke great English and was so welcoming and helpful. As far as country town hostess go, this is A1. Wish we stayed another n...

Really solid design not really a great hostel. Dorm room is off the public restaurant space and room was quite cold.

Lovely stay at Kagelow! It was my birthday and the staff was absolutely sweet. Other than that, only good things to say… Good location, the hostel was clean and the room was spacious as well. Would definitely come back one day!

Insane hostel. Never been somewhere nicer. Felt like a boutique hotel, with mt Fuji just outside. Not much of a social atmosphere, but not sure anywhere in Kawaguchiko would be. It’s a nice place to just chill - with great food in the attached restaurant. Only constructive criticism I would give would be blinds in the dorm room and perhaps actual duvet covers instead of two sheets to place either side. Other than that, I loved it!!

So nice staff, and really great rooms and showers. However the hallways were extremly cold because it is an old house

It very cozy, good for family. Just a but far from Kawaguchiko station, say 11-15mins walk. For me, it feels like a retreat house, camp ground — so definitely good for family. I stayed only for one night, not very social since it feels like a retreat home.

Excelente hostal para mi estadía en kawaguchiko no puede haber escogido un mejor lugar, sin duda regresaría el plus que las mañanas tienes una vista increíble a Fujisan, aunque solo me quede un día

It was a great hostel. Walking distance to the station and the main lake. Easy access to public transport. Bed is wide, comfy, hotel quality bed sheets.

Amazing stay!

Super luxurious hostel! Super cool interior and cleanliness. The staff were nice and the placement wasn't too bad either. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was great! There isn't much security but you don't need it. I left my bike outside unlocked to anything and the locals said that's fine and normal and safe!

Lovely hostel. Felt more like a spa/ boutique hotel! Really big comfortable beds in dorm. Lovely bathroom facilities. Free tea/ coffee too. Great location
