Islanders Hostel Siquijor

Don’t really get the rave reviews. Upon check-in, we were charged for another bed despite Hostelworld declaring certain beds slept 2 - so don’t trust it if it says ‘sleeps 2’! The staff were as accommodating as they could be and they had motorbike rental which was handy plus the hostel is just across the road from the beach. But the facilities were really poor. They played very loud music until 1 am, and the rooms are poorly insulated so you can hear almost everything. In addition, I rarely had WiFi in my room and usually had to go to the common area to get a connection. The shower also didn’t provide any warm water, so that’s something to keep in mind. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the place felt clean and fairly new.

The hostel was ok. It has potential but was disappointing. Coffin beds have mini fans which is good as they do get warm, but one night there was a power cut so fans & air con went off and it was boiling, there were no staff on reception to let us know what was going on, which would have been helpful. Otherwise the staff were nice. Bathroom shower pressure was ok, but will not be hot (pre warning) the bathroom itself had quite a bad smell majority of the time & didn’t feel clean.

Nice rooms and beds, good staff. Bathroom was always a little wet, shower was cold.

Nice hostel with a nice social area with beanbags. Bathroom wasn’t amazing for the private room.

The owners have done their homework and made a very accommodating hostel. The staff are very kind and supportive. It is a young hostel is age of operation but over time I am confident that they will build an exceptional culture. Well done! R

Très bon hostel, lits en bunks très agréables, salle de bain propre, casiers dans la chambre et carte magnétique pour rentrer. Petit déjeuner pour un prix raisonnable, location de scooter, lessive, etc

The hostel is very new and located directly across from one of the most popular clubs in town. There were a few minor issues, like the internet, but I heard from other travelers that these have already been fixed. I would definitely stay at this hostel again on my next trip to Siquijor.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This wonderful hostel is incredibly welcoming, clean and well designed! Some of the features of the capsules I have never seen before! So much room, great storage. There is hot water that never fails, great activities, brilliantly simple but effective booze menu and it's super easy to get anywhere from here. The Islander is a VIBE!!!! Do yourself a favour and book as many nights as you can! Thank you Islander hostel! You guys are incredible! We had a wonderful time.

The guys are amazing. Had a great time and will be back for sure :) Don’t miss the events at night, worth it

it was amazing!!! perfect place in siquior, the staff was very kind and helpful when you had some questions. the beds were really nice and comfortable. we had a lovely stay!! thanks Islanders Team ❤️
