Durness Smoo Youth Hostel

Il faisait froid dans les dortoirs, il n’y avait pas assez de prises. Seulement 2 douches pour tout les dortoirs. Les douches ne fonctionnent pas bien. Les lits ne sont pas confortables. La cuisine n’est pas bien équipée et il n’y a pas assez de tables pour dîner. Il n’y a pas assez de casiers dans les chambres pour chaque personne.

The location was great, the staff were helpful and friendly, definitely would recomend and will be staying again if I travel there again.

Eine schöne kleine Jugendherberge mit gemischten Schlafräumen. Die Lage ist auch super, direkt neben der Smoo Cave und auch nicht weit bis zum Craft Village.

Very clean and nice big beds. Very nice staff and good if you’re looking for a peaceful area on the north coast.

The hostel was exactly as described and met all of our expectations! Especially the man working the front desk! He was so so lovely, helpful and caring! We really appreciated him and he made the whole stay a 10/10!!

superbe hostel, avec une vue incroyable sur les falaises de durness et les moutons. Personnel très sympathique et accueillant, les dortoirs sont spacieux et permettent de ne pas se marcher dessus avec les autres. Peut-être ajouter des prises électriques à l'avenir ? A part ça, l'endroit est superbe

Very nice Hostel. The guest were very friendly and willing to chat. The accommodation was very nice with thick duvets and comfortable beds. The staff member was so nice and welcoming, always up for a chat. He even made up a couple of beds for some late arrivals so they didn’t have to try and do it in the dark. Overall the hostel was very clean and would highly recommend for anyone doing the NC500 or even just visiting Durness.

Bedrooms and bathrooms pretty basic, but very clean. Cozy lounge and very helpful staff! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Really pleased with my stay here. Great location, staff were absolutely lovely, food was great. The comfiest bed I’ve encountered on my travels as well. Would definitely stay again.
