Staff was not helpful, the place was quite dirty and the atmosphere was missing. The only good thing was the location close to the station

No social atmosphere. I booked an 8-bed mixed dorm with my partner. This hostel has over 500 rooms, it was never busy downstairs, yet all 8 beds were filled (7 of which were men). Out of these 7 other men, 4 of them were 50+. In future, hostels need to think about the demographic of who they’re putting people in a room together with. Why not put young people together and a good mix of genders. One of the old men was wanking in the shared toilet, so creepy and disguting!! Chronic sno...

Never staying in a&o again, definitely not sanitary and no locker in the room for my belongings. Weird atmosphere & the cops were there night one. Brown stains on my sheets and no pillowcase. The only good side is how close to the train station it kinda is

No control over noise being madding the hallways combined with extremely thin walls made it impossible to rest. The guest kitchen had almost nothing to cook or eat. Bathroom ventilation was broken and although reported the personal did nothing about it.

Absolutely horrible, dirty rooms, weird people and extremly annoyed and unfriendly receptionist. late check out also not possible

Too far away from the central train station and the hostel is too big to have plenty of room, so scary!

A truly dreadful experience. Unfortunately I lost my wallet and although I had booked at the hostel and paid part of the money the staff?would not accept payment sent from UK. I want my money refunded ASAP. The?hostel is totally inflexible in its customer care. I had to rebook in another A & O on the other side of the city which was booked for UK. Terrible service all around. Never again. This will go on Trip Advisor. A &O are a disgrace. I had a problem with A & o in Austria last year. Dreadful

La habitación a simple vista esta muy bien, pero lamentablemente solo a simple vista. la ducha estaba sucia y tenia pelos en la rejilla, encontramos cucarachas en nuestras toallas "limpias" y no hay siquiera un ventilador, motivo por el cual dormir fue muy complicado.

Stay somewhere else. Stayed in a 14 bed bunk that was super unstable not to mention the other guy that was in the room that kept waking up in the middle of the night to turn the tv on. Staff was unfriendly as well. I’d rather pay extra some where else for more comfort

Dirty, room full of bottles of beer. There was costantly an orrible smell, in the toilette but also in the room, also because the other guests were really rude. It’s also in the opposite side of the most intresting part of Berline.

The personal were great and friendly. Only the bed made noise while sleeping, because it was made of metal.

Massive hostel with many rooms. everything taken care to make sure the guests are fine. the roommates we end with will decide if we could get some good sleep or not. I had stayed for 2 nights, the first one was quie, all went to bed at the same time and woke at the same time. but the second night was very chaotic with people coming in and settling till 2am that too one by one, waking the other constantly...well it's part of a hostel experience!

Good hostel with very helpful staff.

Private room was clean and silent, fast check-in and out, hostel 10 minutes by foot from the train station, Perfect accomodation in berlin!!!

We had a good stay here for 3 nights. All I will say is there is 1 kitchen and 1 washing room ( 2 dryers + 2 washing machines) for the whole building so it can take some time to do things. The general vibe is nice and the staff were very friendly.

The biggest problem was the metallic frame bed that kept loudly squeaking when the smallest movement is made. More annoying than the noise coming from the hallway. The lights were also the problem, no small lights so it’s either full on lights (not recommended when people sleeping) or using own flashlight to get around.

Stayed in the 8 bed family room ensuite with some friends for 2 nights. It's in a decent location since it's close to the station and had free luggage storage before/after check-in/out. Can't comment so much on the social side of things since we were in a private room, however we participated in karaoke night which was fun! Only criticism would be the bins in our room hadn't been cleaned out when we got there and the shower didn't drain that well at all, but met all needs so overall great stay!

A lot of little kids in school trips and with their family. Also i booked a 4 people room but ended in a room with 8. It was close to the main station but kinda far from everything else.

This hostel was great overall. The wifi worked well. The staff were generally kind and friendly. Problems are that they only have usb ports to charge devices for each bunk bed. They have normal charging ports as well, but I think they have only two for a room with eight people, so it can be inconvenient. Also, the bunk beds had no curtains to block out lights or for privacy.

I stayed at this hostel and overall the experience was good. However, I would like to mention an issue that happened on my last night (April 6). At around 1:45 AM, I wanted to buy something from the bar, but the staff member refused to serve me without giving any explanation. I found this confusing and disappointing. As a result, I had to leave the hostel and go to a nearby REWE late at night to buy what I needed, which was quite inconvenient.

Only stayed for 1 night but everything was perfect. Close to the station as well

Es gibt immer was zu beanstanden. Ist aber rein subjektives Denken. Anderen gefallen halt anderen Sachen auf. Gut finde ich, dass es TV Geräte in den Zimmern gibt. Habe ich aber noch nicht getestet. Das Stockbett war zu eng gestellt, das Staufach ließ sich nicht öffnen. Für Manches kann das Hostel auch selber nichts, wie für das Verhalten der Gäste zb im Schlafzimmer. Manchmal denke ich so, als wenn die Gäste noch einen Zusatzjobs ausüben, wie "Funktionstests" usw.

My check in was absolutely horrible, with staff. (Now, staff on all the other nights was great so maybe a bad day for someone who knows.) However, we ran out of toilet paper, the hooks in the bathroom both broke during my three days there. The luggage containers in the room are horrible and dangerous. The kids are metal and it fell on me twice bruising my arms. Plus the bunk beds are stupidly built and I hit my head twice. I would not stay at another a&o ever (if I can help it)

Ho trovato la stanza davvero tanto piena di polvere. Alla reception gentili e pronti a risolvere qualsiasi problema ma se arrivi nei momenti sbagliati, quando arriva qualche scolaresca ad esempio, puoi passare tanto tempo ad aspettare.

This hostel was cheap for the night and only a 12 min walk to the hbf. The rooms seemed very crowded and had a weird bed layout even in an 8 bed dorm. I also was not given linens or a pillow on arrival, so I had to visit the lobby a couple times before I actually had everything I needed to make the bed. If I were staying for more than just one night, I would probably try to find something that had a better vibe and is more central.

Really chill for the price, I was happy

Es un buen hostal, queda cerca de la estación de Berlín hbf. Tiene servicios extras de comidas, café, bebidas etc. Zonas compartidas tiene sala de estar, cocina, juegos infantiles, Zona lectura, máquinas expendedoras de helado, pizza, palomitas etc, me encanto lo recomiendo. Lo único que mejoraría sería la seguridad de las habitaciones ya que no hay lockers individuales y tampoco privacidad en cada cama.

If you get unlucky as my friend an I did then you are going to be in a single bed arranged as a twin bed layout in an awkward location in the room that is filled with bunk beds otherwise. This layout doesn’t make any sense to me and honestly was very uncomfortable. Other than nothing to point out.

Zero social vibes but excellent value for money, very close to the train station, nice staff and good facilities. Great place to stay if you’ve an early train to catch
