Worst hostel I’ve stayed at in a long time. Staff wasn’t friendly. Facilities were super run down. Tiny bathrooms and literally only one room share for 50 people. Showers are separate and don’t even have a sink in them or a mirror to brush teeth etc. Also way to few again for too many people. No hot water for 2 weeks

I was disappointed by the lack of social interaction; most people seemed glued to their phones without looking up. My room, 108, was surrounded by common areas, which made it noisy and intrusive. The rooms were small, with insufficient facilities like toilets and showers. It also appeared that cleanliness wasn't regularly maintained: toilet paper shortages were common. Despite ample seating in the common areas, the sofas were often dirty, and the TV didn't work.

Facility was excellent very clean and everything worked well, kitchen and common area was nice and big, my only complaint was one of the male staff was not very welcoming and was a creep to women taking screen shots from security cameras and sending them on saying I see you or I no where you are, to me this was disturbing. He was also texting females giving out to them for talking to other males. Very weird and very uncomfortable

Unique, historical location, but not much of an atmosphere would be an understatement.

I checked in a day later so room was ready when I got there on second day. I had to go back to reception as all the beds looked like they had been slept in and not clean. Came back later and it was all okay. The guy checking us in was extremely rude and just gave off the vibe he hated his life. Other than that the room was okay! Really nice common spaces, well furnished kitchen open 24h, nice room with quite big private locker, plenty of power outlets but quite dirty bathroom sinks and some bathroom have no space to put your beauty case or no hook for towels.

So much character, recommend if you wanna stay somewhere unique.

Staff were excellent, very accomodating of my upgrade and so good to be able to leave my backpack b4 check-in. Value for money for such a central stay.

Great hostel. Slight ding to social as there are a lot of long termers/families but it got the job done.

Really cool hostel experience! Kitchen was large and clean which is so rare in hostels but everything felt well cared for. Great location and super close to the things you want to see in Fremantle. The only downside for me was the long, steep driveway with my massive suitcase but not really a reflection on the hostel itself!

Very spacious and felt really safe. I stayed in 4 bed dorm and had lots of room and security. room was vacuumed everyday and bins emptied each day too. Would 100% recommend this hostel

This hostel is so nice and very affordable. The bathrooms are very clean and they have shelving for showers and the countertops by the sinks. They also have online keys for your room and the staff was extremely friendly.

This was by far the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The room I stayed in was so spacious and the common areas are spotless. Jed was amazing at helping us throughout our stay and made my friends and I feel very welcome :)

Very clean facilities and helpful staff. The AC was nice and cool in the summer, plus the location in a prison was unique. Would recommend staying here!

Hands down the best hostel I’ve been in Fremantle. It is comfy, kitchen is big and often clean. People are respectful except one of the male staff members who’s on a power trip thinking he’s ruling the country.

Great hostel! Really clean and spacious, with a verry comfy beds and a big kitchen. Lots of places to relax and hang out. I followed the free yoga class on tuesday and it was so good! Maria is the best at what she does! 🙌

Établissement qui sort de l’ordinaire situé dans une prison. Les équipements font le travail mais il n’y a pas de rideaux aux lits.

The hostel staff were super friendly! Luggage storage available before and after check in and out! Facilities were great! Bathrooms were very clean! Can easily walk to everything from the hostel! Would definitely recommend! Super cool staying in an old prison as well!!

Etwas wenige Toiletten und Bäder für alle Räume. Ziemlich zugig, da immer die Türen aufgelassen werden, Betten etwas wackelig. Aber ansonsten ein netter Gemeinschaftsraum mit Heizung (gott sei Dank). Die Lage ist top, direkt im ehemaligen Gefängnis gelegen.

Cool hostel with a big kitchen and good bathrooms. Our only issue was that we felt like a massive inconvenience whenever we spoke to the staff or asked them questions which was a shame. As someone who has worked in a hostel before, a bit more friendliness would have been appreciated. We would stay here again though due to the good facilities.

Very large hostel so lots of space to relax. Felt clean and safe in a good location for Fremantle. Downsides were no freezers onsite for use, and no luggage storage for longer than 48hrs. I'd also like to see more "hostel etiquette" rules advertised in the rooms, because every night there was someone with their bedside lamp on until 3-4am, and people talking in the night
