Hanoi Buffalo Hostel

Staff were very helpful although rooms / bathrooms were very dirty with dorm room not properly closing (not sure whether this was just my luck with room). There was also a lot of older travellers including men which made me feel bit uncomfortable as female solo. I booked for 3 nights and ended up checking out after 1 night. Moved to Lakeview Backpackers round the corner which was cleaner and more social. Maybe just bad luck with my room!

Es gab es eine super laute Baustelle direkt vor unserem Fenster, an der die ganze Nacht gearbeitet wurde. Als diese beendet war, spielte ein Straßenmusiker den ganzen Abend so laut schreckliche Musik (Titanic etc), dass Einschlafen auch mit Ohrstöpseln nicht möglich war. Plus die Geräusche aus dem Inneren des Hauses. Wer ein Partyhostel sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Ansonsten gibt es Unterkünfte mit deutlich besserem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Bad stinkt, Haare waren auf dem Bett zu ...

Dirty, loud, rude customers, anti-social staff, showers so dirty and weak, everything’s so cramped, bed not comfortable, music going late into the night from the pool next to all the rooms, loud door to bedroom, wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you’re literally partying all day and night and don’t care about ever actually sleeping.

I lost my laptop!!! Someone stole it in the luggage room. Staff dont even care to help you. CCTVs dont work. I think its one of their staff stole it who facilitates the luggage area and sold it somewhere else.

They told me that the hostel was full, they did no take my reservation, they were sorry that was it, I need my deposit back

We went to buffalo hostel after reciving a recommendation from a friend but sadly we ended up being really disappointed. There was vomit next to one bed of ours. The bathrooms were dirty and too tiny for the amount of people. The worst was the tour for the Ha giang loop we booked with them. Completly overbooked and no english tour guide as promised. The staff was really when we stayed there. When we complained it die not seem to make a difference. Careful booking expensive tours there.

Es war eines der wenigen Hostels in Hanoi, die überhaupt Female dorms anbietet. Jedoch ziemlich heruntergekommen und eklig. Es wurde zwar sauber gemacht, davon hat man aber besonders im Bad nichts gemerkt, es war wirklich unangenehm zu duschen. Das Frühstück endet so früh, dass ich es jeden Tag verschlafen hab. Schade. Das Fenster konnte nur einen Spalt geöffnet werden, die Klimaanlage ging nicht. So roch es im Zimmer. Großer Pluspunkt ist aber der Geldautomat direkt daneben und die top L...

There were bedbugs

The aircon did not work in the room even when the staff assured us that it was fixed. Very hot in 35 degree Hanoi.

Staff is to busy or unbothered to really even interact with guest at the slightest. Rooms were not very clean, and the bag drop off area is not remotely secure. I checked out a few other hostels and realized this was not at par with other hostels.

I got there almost midnight, my Grab was a car and couldn’t get there all the way so keep that in mind if you’re coming from the airport. No problems riding right to it on a Grab bike. Once I got there to check in, it was super easy and quick. Staff was very friendly and supportive. Shower was in the room, didn’t need to go down the hall. Beds were clean. I loved that the doors and lockers were accessible by card, no need to fumble with keys or number locks. Breakfast was great! 10/10 reco...

I love this hostel. It’s very social and has a great location. I found the rooms big, bed was comfy, however our shower leaked which was a pain. Downside is that there is only one elevator that’s awkwardly shaped. The staff were helpful in booking things, and great with communication. I had to come back a week later to get my passport lol I also liked the breakfast included. I would recommend for any solo traveller

Super Lage und trotzdem ruhig im Zimmer, Zimmer und Badezimmer sind sehr sauber und die Mitarbeitenden sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das kostenlose Frühstück ist auch gut.

Es war echt alles super, wir haben sogar ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen. Das kostenlose Frühstück war war auch echt super!! Und der Ha Giang Loop mit Buffalo ist eine absolute Empfehlung, das war die beste Erfahrung unseres Lebens.

Great hostel right in the centre of Hanoi Old Town. Close to sights/beer street. Staff are all so friendly and the 12 bed dorm o stayed in was pretty spacious with a comfy private bed. Free beer hour is a great way to get people socialising.

Had a good experience overall here. Staff in particular were fantastic sorting out an issue we had with other guests. But was handled professionally and quickly. Atmosphere was generally good but wasn’t as social as we expected. But the free beer offer is always good.

Beste hostel so far!!!! Hele chillen bedden en ruime kamer, fijne chillruimte beneden, locatie was PERFECT!, 24/7 receptie, aardig personeel. Echt een aanrader. Enige nadeel dat ze geen gratis watertap hadden.

The highlight of my stay was the free walking tour with Luna! Would highly recommend! Comfy rooms and great free breakfast.

great hostel in hanoi the staff really helped us when our room had problems with the AC they solved the problem quickly late at night and compensated us for the issue. Nice and clean, quite socialiable

Great location and lovely staff, toilets could be a little bit cleaner but still great value for money! Female dorms were great.

Fantastic hostel, really social but also easy to keep yourself to yourself. All the staff were great, but I have to say the highlight was doing the Ha Giang Loop with buffalo. Couldn’t have had a better experience, was absolutely phenomenal!! Felt so safe and had so much fun.

Good hostel. Super easy to book the loop with them when you arrive and they handle all logistics. Rooms were clean.

Best stay I've had in Hanoi but was unfortunately only there for one night after coming off a sleeper bus from Ha Giang. Bathrooms were clean, the breakfast was yummy and I slept very well in the dorm. Thank you Buffalo !
