Marvelous Hotel Cusco

+ NOTHING. DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THE OWNER IS THE MOST HORRIBLE AND RUDE PERSON.

- I arrived at 7:30 am, a guy named Lisandro opened the door for me, I waited for my check in, he mentioned my room doesn't have a locker. After few minutes the owner arrived and just accused me by saying that I was demanding for a locker which is a total lie, I never demanded for no locker, I simply asked, then they said they'll put me in another room with locker charging me more than the original price of my reservation. I attempted to take a shower and the water was freezing, at night time I went to bed, and asked the lady from reception to borrow me a heater and I took it to my room, after ten minutes the owner kicked my door and forced himself inside my room without even say excuse me can I come in or nothing like that and he started shouting at me saying that I demand for a lot of things like a locker and now a heater and he said this is a shred room and you can't demand for so much. I was completely in shock by then, I was already panicking, then he just proceeded to kick me out of the property telling me to leave immediately because he was going to call the police, so he basically THREATENED ME with calling the police and on top of kicking me out he didn't wanted to give me a refund for my payment. I would like booking to contact the local authorities and address this terrible incident, because the owner of the property was totally intimidating me and threatening me, jeopardizing my physical and mental integrity and this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Nobody has to accept something like this. He also THREATENED me saying that he was going to cancel my reservation from booking so I don't complain to booking about it. I felt totally discriminated and I can't accept this kind of behavior under no circumstances I would like booking to address this issue inmidiatly. Also he has to refund my money and pay for my taxi.

+ ESPAÑOL: Las voluntarias muy buena onda pero en mi experiencia, podría ser buena idea tomar algunas precauciones al tratar con el Redy, el dueño del hostel. ENGLISH: The volunteers are very cool but in my experience, it might be a good idea to take some precautions when dealing with Redy, the owner of the hostel.

- ESPAÑOL: 1 El servicio incluye cocina pero el dueño Redy inventa mentiras para que te sientas incomodo al usarla. Un día me dijo que las voluntarias y el recepcionista de noche le habían dicho que yo dejaba la cocina sucia, yo jamás cociné de noche. Le pregunte a cada uno y me dijeron que nunca dijeron eso de mí y que Redy solo lo decía para incentivarme a no usar la cocina. 2 Te aumenta el precio con la excusa de los impuestos. A mi amiga extranjera le quiso cobrar el doble del precio, ella pagaba 35.0 soles por noche y un día quiso pagarle directamente y él le dijo que era 70.0 soles por los TAX (en Perú los TAX son 18%). Ella le explicó en su español básico y él aceptó. También pasó lo mismo conmigo, mi última noche reservé por Booking y tenía que pagar 25.0 soles sin TAX y quiso cobrarme 30.0 por los TAX sin ofrecerme en primer instancia una boleta/factura, yo tuve que pedirle. 3 Yo ingresé el 11 de junio hasta el 08 de julio y el trato fue directo sin Booking. Al inicio quedamos que sería 35.0 soles por día porque junio es un mes costoso. Es verdad, acepté. En mi penultima noche, entre a Booking para averiguar el costo y estaba en 25.0 soles la noche; posiblemente sea mi culpa pero realmente me quede decepcionado con Redy, cuántos días estuve pagando más de lo que realmente otros huespedes pagaban. Además, era mi segunda vez que me hospedaba en el mismo hostal y estuve casi un mes y lo minimo que uno espera es sinceridad. Personalmente, tendría reservas en recomendarlo, ya que podría dar la impresión de que su prioridad es el dinero y en algunas situaciones podrían surgir cobros adicionales. Por eso, sugeriría tener cuidado. ENGLISH: 1 The service includes the use of the kitchen but the owner Redy really does not want you to use it for a long time or only to prepare something specific 2 There is a possibility that they will try to charge you more than what was agreed for each night, so it would be advisable to proceed with caution.

- 有一位本地服务员非常没有耐心，对于非西班牙语和非英语沟通非常不耐烦，问他问题都逃避。此外，无论大环境还是服务总体感觉非常冷。

+ Le menage est fait tous les jours et les douches toilettes tres propre Cuisine propre aussi Tres bon emplacement - supermarché dans la rue et 10min a pied de la plaza principale

- Nous avons passé deux semaines au perou et c’est le seul hotel ou nous n’avons pas compris les taxes et les frais qui sont venus augmenter le prix en arrivant à l’hotel sans que cela s’affiche sur notre reservation booking de notre coté Bon à savoir : interdit de laver un caleçon ou chaussettes dans l’évier Pour les nuits froide pas de chauffage ou facturé en supplément Pas possible d’etendre nos serviettes sauf dans les chambres froides donc qui ne sechent pas Pas senti hyper bien accueilli - mais d’autres n’ont pas eu le même accueil que nous

+ Within 10 minutes walking to the main Plaza, though a bit up steps, it’s quiet at night. I stayed 6 nights here, overall the shower is hot and the bathroom is clean. There is a kitchen can prepare simple meal.

- The bathroom is outside of the room, you have to walk a few steps even it’s rainy to the bathroom, and it’s cold at night to walk out in the yard . Public area is outdoor except the kitchen. There is one drama experience which I have never experienced during my 2 months’ travel in South America. I came back from a day tour with body wet in cold rain and wish to get a hot shower, however the shower was completely cold, and I stayed with soap in cold shower room for ten minutes waiting the staff to fix the problem and eventually got a bit warmer water not even hot. And I finally got a cold and fever the next morning. I asked the staff if they checked out the reason why the shower water was completely cold last night, as the staffs were not able to understand English, they speak Spanish only( except the owner who is not often in the hostel), one of the staff Lisandro came to me directly with black face (the guy was always a poker face seems someone owned him money) asking me to leave right now without having an apology and explanation of the cold shower !! And it was 9:20 in the morning not even the check out time!!

- Stuff wasn't on the mood maybe , or felt it a bit off , maybe I was stressed , Awesome personal tho , just a bit off

+ Fantastic host, beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds, towel included, close to everything. Fantastic value and Super Clean.

+ El lugar es hermoso! Con una vista preciosa a la ciudad. Me encantó la tranquilidad del lugar, Lissandro (quien atiende su propio hostel) es un amor, me dio excelentes consejos de qué visitar, dónde comer, siempre atento a que los huéspedes estemos bien, cómodos y que tengamos todo lo que necesitemos. Siempre limpio, siempre ordenado, las camas cómodas y calentitas, la ducha siempre con agua caliente. Me pareció un plus que te entreguen un juego propio de llaves para entrar y salir (ese detalle me hizo sentir como en mi propia casa). El patio es precioso y las personas que se hospedan tranquilas. Lamentablemente decidí irme a otra ciudad pero mi estadía en Auquis me hizo plantearme el cambiar mi pasaje de vuelta! Se lo recomendé a personas que conocí en mi viaje, lo seguiré recomendando y realmente espero volver muy pronto!!!

- Sólo me faltó un mini estante para poner mi shampoo en la ducha XD

+ Amazing location just a few blocks from the central square. Nice hostal, very clean, the owner works hard to make your stay wonderful.

- It’s a mixed gender shower room and there’s no place to change your clothes without standing in the wet of the shower. A little annoying.

+ This hostel is nice and the view on the city is incredible.

- Pas spécialement un problème mais l'hostel est situé dans une montée, si vous avez le mal de l'altitude en arrivant, marchez doucement dans la montée.
