- Nous n’avons pas pu se rendre à l’adresse indiquée dans leur annonce sur Booking.com, la route était barrée et en rénovation alors nous avons essayé de nous rendre par un autre chemin très mauvais au risque d’endommager l’auto de location pour enfin arriver à l’endroit selon le GpS mais ce n’était visiblement pas la bonne indication. Nous avons tenté de rejoindre l’établissement mais nous avions seulement l’option par courriel. Finalement nous n’avons reçu aucune réponse à notre courriel alors nous avons cancelle la réservation que nous venions de faire quelques heures avant et que l’hôtel exigeait le paiement par carte de crédit avant l’arrivée ce qui est rare. Finalement ils ont refusé notre annulation et nous ont chargé le montant complet après nous avoir répond via booking.com 3jours plus tard. Nous ne recommandons pas cet Hôtel pour la mauvais service et aucune option de communication par texto directement avec eux ce qui nous empêche de communiquer avec eux directement sans passer par booking.com. Tous les autres endroits nous ont répondu par texto pour nous donner des indications précises si nous avions des difficultés à trouver l’endroit. Très déçu de cette expérience et ils nous offres un crédit pour le jour où nous viendrons à Otavalo alors que nous sommes des voyageurs du Canada de passage pour une nuit seulement. Pufff foutaise comme crédit!!!

Le paysage est exceptionnel, l'endroit est calme et très facile d'accès depuis le centre ville. Belles balades à proximité. Le couple qui nous a reçu est très sympathique et aidant. Par contre, pour les prix de la nuit, quelques améliorations seraient à prévoir, la literie est en mauvaise état, le plat du soir à 8dollars est très bon mais très simple.
+ Die Lage ist super, der Blick auf den Berg sensationell, der Garten wird gepflegt. Die Außenanlage ist sehr ansprechend. Die Freundlichkeit und Kooperation des Personals und das sehr leckere Abendessen sind positiv zu bewerten. Außerdem ist die Dusche schön warm!
- Die Häuser und Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, Feuchtigkeit ist überall. Außerdem wirken die Zimmer ein bisschen zusammengewürfelt. Der Putz blättert von den Wänden, alles ist wackelig und improvisiert und sehr einfach.

- La ubicación de la hostería es muy lejana y de acceso difícil ( debimos usar calles alternas) El acceso a la habitación asignada fue complicado, no había un camino marcado entre la hierba, ni muy seguro (huecos que no se ven) para llegar hacia ella. La habitación tiene humedad en la pared, el Segundo piso tiene 2 camas pero se tiene que circular agachado para ingresar a las camas. Faltó mucha preocupación y atención del Personal hacia el cliente.

A very beautiful setting. Attractive buildings inside and out. Very nice free breakfast. No kitchen access and a lack of food available for purchase on site makes the 3 km from Otavalo a logistical challenge. Plan ahead to get an evening meal prepared. The 40 cent bus ride is available until 7 pm, but it is challenging to learn how to find exiting Otovalo.

Rose cottage es un lugar maravilloso, con una vista increible y flores de todas partes. Es muy limpio y los anfitriones son muy acogedores y simpaticos. Recomiendo 100% 😀
Amazing! The mountains are stunning. The place is ideal for chilling and relaxing and I really enjoyed that’s it’s located just outside of town. My stay wouldn’t be the same without the amazing, Wilson and Guadalupe, who works here. I had many good talks with Wilson and he was super helpful with everything and he made a campfire at night! + Die Familie, welche die Unterkunft zur Zeit betreibt, ist unglaublich nett, professionell und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage auf einem Bergrücken oberhalb von Otavalo ist großartig, mit Panorama-Blicken rundum und einem Wanderweg zum Wasserfall direkt hinter den Häusern. Ein sehr schönes Gelände mit einem liebevoll gepflegten Rosengarten.

Thank you so so much for this amazing stay! We had a great time. The hosts are very welcoming and we felt like being at home. The rose garden and the views are beautiful. We could even play tennis - they provided rackets and balls for free. There is also a library with a piano to play! Would recommend everyone to stay here for a couple of days!
+ A beautiful and peaceful location outside of Otovalo, ideally located for the Trans Ecuador Mountain Bike Route. We arrived late, but with a very warm welcome from Christian and his wife, Brigitte, who lit a roaring fire for us and cooked up excellent food. Strongly recommended.

+ I had a wonderful stay at Hosteria Rose Cottage. Mark and Rosa were excellent hosts, they were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating, they really went out of their way to make me feel at home. The hostel is nestled in the mountains less than a 10 minute drive out of Otavalo, the location is tranquil and the view is so inspiring. Evening meals are very reasonably priced at $8 for a wholesome home cooked meal plus a pudding, veggie options are available. I originally booked 2 nights but liked it so much that I booked an extra 2!

The hostel is located at a beautiful location in Otovalu. A bit out of town, but worth the extra effort if you enjoy a calm and relaxing place. It was very quite, but I guess that’s due to the current situation in Ecuador in general. The owner was very sweet and accompanied me with dinner for two nights. Definitely worth the money.
