+ Pésimo, nos enviaron una ubicación que no era, la calle estuvo dañada, no hay iluminación para dirigirse al baño comunal, fuerte olor a letrina.
- Nos dieron un precio y cuando llegamos nos cobraron otro porque dicen que la aplicación está equivocada, no había nadie quien nos ayude con una toalla o papel higiénico (llevar su propio kit de aseo) el baño y ducha sucio.
+ Pésimo, mal colocada la ubicación, nunca contesto y para colmo nos asaltaron.
I arrived at a closed office in the pouring rain. They hung up on me even w spanish. I eventually sent a pic of myself standing in from of closed office soaked via whatsapp. Finally someone reached out to me asking me if I had a reservation. Ofcourse I have had the reservation for more than a week. Eventually somebody shows. Then they left me standing at farm in rain, no room showing. The people avoided me, the indigenous peeked at me and then hid when I waved or tried to speak w them. Terrible
il n'y a pas de système d'appoint pour réchauffer l'habitation.il fesait 10°c dehors, il fesait 10°c à ľintérieur. les chien jappent toute la nuit. un des pire endroit que j'ai visité en 10 ans de voyage

- Las fotos no van de acuerdo a lo que ofrecen :( la cabaña donde nos quedamos tenía un olor a desagüe por el baño y nos picaron insectos por las cobijas que no parecían bien lavadas.

Vielleicht haben wir einfach einen ungünstigen Zeitpunkt erwischt, aber bei uns kam sehr viel zusammen, dass unser Aufenthalt nicht so war wie erwartet. Viel Regen, kein Wasser und Stromausfälle. Dazu kam, dass der Besitzer uns überzeugen wollte, dass wir die Gebühr an Hostelworld nochmal an ihn zahlen sollen. Alles in allem kann es eine schöne Unterkunft in der Natur sein, jedoch könnten Bad und Küche etwas sauberer sein. Es fehlen gemütliche Aufenthaltsbereiche, die man bei Regen nutze...

Muchas gracias for a magical stay!! It was so peaceful to be surrounded by nature, between three volcanoes and get an insight into indigenous culture. We had an amazing fresh and organic breakfast, and enjoyed hearing from Jose about what plants can be used in tea (in Spanish) Our room was very cute and we enjoyed getting cosy with lots of blankets as it can be chilly at night! Easy to get into town, to visit the Plaza de Las Ponchas indigenous market and the stunning Cotachi hike :)

It was a very nice and peaceful place. The owner was very kind and helpful and the environment of the hostal is amazing.
+ Such a magical place! Peaceful farm setting, beautiful nature, and waking up to birds singing every morning. There are chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, and sweet dogs — perfect for animal and nature lovers. The host is incredibly kind and welcoming. One of the most relaxing and special hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

Accueil très chaleureux du Tio, qui nous parle de ses origines Quechua et nous installe dans une chambre qu'il a fabriquée de ses mains. Literie bien chaude et calme absolu dans cette ferme nichée sur les hauteurs d'Otavalo parmi les champs cultivés et les eucalyptus. Coucher de soleil avec vue sur le mont Cotacachi. On y cotoie les animaux de la ferme, chiens, poules et cochons d'Inde (Cuy). Délicieux petit déjeuner vitaminé à base de produits bois de la ferme. On recommande sans hé...
+ A beautiful place surrounded by mountains and volcanoes, comfortable and clean rooms, with everything you need. The host family provides an amazing welcome to their culture.

+ Esta ubicado en Iluman, a pocos minutos del centro de Otavalo. Es bonito, rodeado de naturaleza. El dueño, José, muy amable, tuvimos una larga conversación sobre las costumbres de la comunidad, aficiones, vida. Fuimos con mi madre, y enseguida se fijo que al ser adulta mayor, le convenia otro tipo de cabaña y nos sugirió una mas cómoda, por casi el mismo precio, eso fue muy amable por que se preocupó por la comodidad de mi madre y de mi hijo. Comida rica, fresquita.
- Al principio nos desorientamos, podría mejorar la experiencia con señalética, desde el camino, ya saben con flechitas y esos detalles que tanto ayudan.

super hostal ! à 5 minutes du village, l'endroit est super confortable et la vue est incroyable, la famille très bienveillante. je suis restée plus d'une semaine et je recommande vraiment. à 10 minutes d'otavalo avec le bus qui passe toutes les 10 minutes. Merci Tío

+ I have stayed 2 nights in El Tio and i loved it! The place where the hostal is located and the territory of it is so beautiful, it’s reminded me a lot about the village of my childhood with chickens, garden, wooden walls. Just behind the hostal begins the trails to walk and hike in the Imbabura volcano and the view from there is precious. The owner, Tio, such a nice person. Recommend you a lot to stay there! Gracias el Tio!
