- Das Hostel liegt direkt über einer Bar. Bis 4 Uhr morgens konnte man nicht mal mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen. Das Zimmer hatte ein Fenster zum Flur, durch das die ganze Nacht Licht schien. Insgesamt war das Zimmer total heruntergekommen. Die Duschen waren femeinschaftlich und die Tür zum Flur nicht schliessbar.

- This place is very noisy, making it hard to get any real sleep. Additionally, some of the staff are rude to the guests. The lockers and bathrooms are very impractical and unusable

Cool Super nette Leute Gute Lage für Ausgehen im Schanzenviertel alles easy und familiär
Pretty average hostel. Security was a bit questionable, the main door to get up to the hostel was always open and so was the main door to the hostel. Thankfully I was on the ‘FLINTA’ floor upstairs which was always locked. We weren’t given locker codes so couldn’t secure any of our stuff. Fairly clean, bathrooms could’ve been a bit cleaner. The kitchen was great though, the labelling system works well and there was loads of fridge space. Atmosphere was very dead then suddenly a bit bu...
Sehr gemütliche Atomsphäre, im Zimmer mit offenem Fenster von der Straße recht laut, das ist vielleicht zu wissen für Leute die viel Ruhe brauchen
Great! Has enough bathrooms for all. There is a kitchen with a system that works quite well. Would recommend anyone who is visiting Hamburg
Süßes Hostel zentral gelegen. Wir waren auf dem Mädels-Floor, was ich als sehr angenehm und sicher empfunden habe. Die Bäder waren völlig ausreichend und auch gut konzipiert für ein bisschen Privatsphäre. Etwas mehr Haken bzw. Möglichkeiten etwas aufzuhängen im Bad, sowie helleres Licht wären schön gewesen. Außerdem vielleicht Stühle im Zimmer, aber das ist auch eher fakultativ. Wir hatten insgesamt einen tollen Aufenthalt in Hamburg und haben uns wohlgefühlt bei euch. :)
Ho assolutamente amato la mia permanenza in questo ostello. Il personale super gentile, ci ha permesso di lasciare i bagagli prima dell'anticipo. I servizi e la stanza erano molto puliti e la posizione molto vicina alla stazione per raggiungere il centro di amburgo. Assolutamente raccomandato(anche se siete ragazze in viaggio da sole)
Clean hostel, even the bathrooms facilities Super noisy during the weekend because there is a bar right underneath the rooms, so no sleep until 2/3 in the morning I didn’t feel so safe because during the day (until 9 pm?) everyone from the street is able to walk in the hostel because reception if far away from the entrance door and the door room isn’t locked

The hostel itself is in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff are helpful. The showers are okay despite there being little privacy. It however, does not feel like a hostel. There is no social vibe whatsoever, no events or facilitation of meeting new people. The reviews I read before I came talked about an older crowd and it is true, majority of the people staying there were 40-50+ it seemed, which is okay and not a bad thing, but if you are younger it can be more difficult
I had a wonderful stay at Instant Sleep! Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. The hostel was fairly social but also quite relaxed. The 12 bunk dorm i stayed in was a bit bright and noisy at night but that was the only drawback for me. Would 100% stay again!
crazy guy drunk came in the dorm during the night, screaming things like "f*** you", i honestly felt scared, otherwise, the hostel is okay
+ I took the 4 bed female dorm. It comes with a decker and two single beds. Bed linens were provided and there are lockers in the room, which you can use with your own lock. Cooking facilities available at the reception floor. There seems to be free coffee but I did not use it. I love it that Lidl is within 5 minutes walking distance.
- For some reason the door is locked from the inside with the key so it's a bit inconvenient, the people in the room ended up not locking when inside. The twin beds didn't have a power socket nearby so it was a struggle to manage without turning the main light on.

Good place to stay. It’s a little far from the main attractions (35min walk), but work the cheap price. There is a Lidl across the street and many restaurants near. Kitchen is well equipped (no freezer). Staff were friendly and worked hard to ensure all the girls felt comfortable and safe (not sure how the men were treated). Friendly atmosphere, piano for playing, and free tea and coffee. Would stay again.

Exactly what I needed. Vibes were great, the location hip, and the main doors locked securely even if the lockers didn't work. The all-girl floor was also really nice.
Staff were so friendly & offered lots of things to do in the surrounding area & kindly mapped it all out. Felt safe the entire time & loved the community area. Not the most sociable place however perfect for chilling at any time. No curtain & bring ur own padlock for the locker. Also in the female dorm had a double toilet disco which was absolutely hilarious. Didn’t love Hamburg itself but the hostel was perfect, also had nice roomies the entire time :)
