+ This hotel was in a great location close to the town centre, but that is the only good thing I can say about it. The rest of the experience was terrible

- Alarm bells were ringing as soon as we arrived at the hotel and found that it was still trading under a previous name and the signs had not been changed. The lady on reception said that she kept telling management, but nothing had been done. The room was absolutely filthy as though it had never been cleaned! There was mould throughout the bathroom and bedroom. The floors were covered in dust and debris from the previous guests so we assume they hadn't even been swept. We spoke to another guest who had the same experience and demanded that they change her room twice as it was so unclean so it wasn't just us.. If you care about even basic levels of hygiene do not stay here!

+ The only good thing about this hotel is the location

- We booked this from booking.com. And it is nothing like the pictures. Firstly we booked a room with a balcony just like the pictures showed. However we got a room with no balcony and no view. We went back to the frontdesk to ask for the room we actually booked. We had to PAY 50rm.. for a room we already booked.... when I asked why they used different pictures the lady said she already told her boss about it. Beside the location everything is a SCAM about this place. When we finally got the room we wanted, we couldn't believe our eyes. It was terrible. From weird spots on the ceiling to BLACK MOLD in the bathroom to dirty bedsheets and towels. Definitely do NOT recommend.

- 1) Poor house keeping and customer service. 2) Noisy location as the room facing the main road and windows cannot fully closed. 3) Spooky environment; less lighting at corridors.

- Room facilities. Aircon not working properly. Max blast and lowest temperature to no avail. Worst...the blower is like a bumboat engine! Loud noise throughbthe night, didn't have a good sleep, and water was dripping throughout. Toilet paper holder is metal with sharp edges. I got cut trying to install toilet roll onto it. Go somewhere else if you can. There are many others around.

+ Regret booking this hotel. For sure will NOT repeat. Very bad, no elevator, sink was badly stuffing.

- Not at all. The management didnt mentioned in booking.com that there was event in front of hotel. Takes 2 hours to find the hotel. Cannot sleep due to load noise in front hotel due to pasar malam.

- too stuffy. very hot. booking vs room offered not tally. the lobby, common area and circulation zone too hot and stuffy. it's like an abandon hotel. too dark at night. services also bad.

- I booked this hotel based on pictures and glowing descriptions on booking.com website but it turned out to be a complete let down. We looked at the room (it was like a prison room) and immediately booked another room in another hotel. They refused to refund me for the room but worst of all that they also refused to refund the city and heritage taxes for the 3 days stay. We can't wait to get out of that building. I am not only disappointed with the deceit image the hotel displayed but also with BOOKING.COM for allowing such misinterpretation of product to its clients and this is the only site I have been using for many years.

- penyambut tetamu tidak mesra alam, pembayaran tanpa resit tetapi bila diminta baru nak bagi, tu pun tanya balik nak resit ke?, paking kena bayar lain. kepala paip tercabut, tidak boleh guna, iron board tiada disetiap floor. Heritage tax tanpa resit, tapi suruh minta dengan kerajaan. pembayaran sebanyak 4 kali diakatakan decline wpun resit keluar dari mesin.Jika dicaj suruh call sendiri pihak bank.

+ Senang access ke area jonker

- I specifically booked this hotel expecting a room with a balcony, as I had been looking forward to relaxing while enjoying the view of Melaka Lake. However, I was given a room without a balcony, which felt very enclosed and uncomfortable. When I requested to change rooms, the staff claimed the hotel was fully booked and mentioned that many rooms had air-conditioning problems. I agreed to stay, but later that night the air-conditioner stopped cooling and started making loud, abnormal noises, making it extremely difficult to sleep. I reported this issue to the staff during checkout, but the response was disappointing as they appeared indifferent and did not take the matter seriously. I strongly advise anyone who plans to book this hotel and expects a room with a balcony to call and confirm in advance to avoid disappointment. While the hotel experience was unsatisfactory, Melaka itself remains a great destination.

+ El tamaño de la habitacion, espaciosa y con nevera, la ubicacion del hotel al lado del rio y barrio chino. Buen funcionamiento del aire acondicionado. Amabilidad del personal.

- No hay ascensor y estabamos en la segunda planta, aunque nos ayudaron a subir las maletas. La habitacion cogia calor porque le daba el sol todo el día. Camas un poco pequeñas.
