Rangiri Hostel @ The Hideout Sigiriya

We stayed at the hideout for a peaceful few nights to switch off from our busy lives! The hotel manager was incredibly welcoming, he helped us throughout the stay and always made sure we were happy. He even went above and beyond to contact local train stations to assist with our onward travel, organise tuk tuks and provide us a packed lunch to take on our 10 hour journey! Couldn’t thank the staff enough, friendly restaurant team, good food and a lovely pool to relax in.

Pool was great, the staff were amazing and the room was lovely. It was just a little bit out of the way of any thing to eat while we were here. However that may be because we were there during the Sri Lankan new year/holiday and lots of businesses were closed.

Fantastic hostel with beautiful grounds, lovely pool and our host was so incredibly helpful with organising tours and making suggestions, even though we were only staying for one night! We also enjoyed the food served in the restaurant on site. Definitely climb Lion rock at sunset if you get the chance!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and loved it. Everybody is so nice and they do everything they can for you. The swimming pool is very clean, the surrounding nature very green & the houses clean. There are mosquito nets at the beds. There is a safari hut where you can get lunch with a nice view. You see many butterflies, peacocks and even lizards. The restaurant has good prices, a lot of choice and is delicious. Great breakfast for 6 dollar pp.

This was a lovely, remote hostel only a short drive from Sigiriya Lion Rock. We, as three friends, stayed in a three berth dorm room together. It had everything we needed.

Staff were really lovely and accommodating and gave us a free upgrade. It is a little out of town but if you're driving yourselves like we were it was worth it. You were able to book to have someone take you to the sites for a cheap price. It was a really relaxing atmosphere and soaking in the pool of an afternoon while listening to the peacocks is lovely.
