Sigiri Serenity Hostel

We were welcomed very warmly, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, communication was difficult as the staff spoke very little English, and important information was not communicated at all. On the website, free sunrise and sunset tours were advertised, but this was never mentioned or offered during our stay. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 7:30 am. In the end, we received a very good breakfast at around 9:00 am – but only those who happened to be present at that time.

Was good hostel, we only stayed one night tho. The hostel was more of a quiet one, not so social, without many activities but we still had a good time. The staff was super friendly driving us anywhere we needed to go .

I could not recommend this hostel enough, one of the best hostels we have stayed in Asia. Lahiru and his family made us feel so welcome for our first couple days in Sri Lanka, his hospitality and the activities and transportation provided was amazing. Definitely stay here if you’re in Sigiriya :)

This hostel was really great!! It’s very clean, and gets cleaned every day. The rooms are spacious, have lockers, ac, curtains, power sockets and a lamp by the bed. The hostel owner Lahiru is very hospitable and drives you to town but you can also walk. Organizing activities such as the amazing safari and many other activities are very easily organized through the hostel even if you are on your own. Overall it was one of the best hostels I stayed at, it was social and very peaceful!!

We had an amazing stay here! Lahiru and all of the staff were incredible. Very happy to organise lifts for us and the tours they arranged were a lot of fun. It's lovely to watch people enjoying their job and bringing that positivity to the hostel as a whole. Thank you so much it was a real highlight of our trip!

Had such a wonderful stay here! Lovely staff take you on amazing sunset adventure each evening (so worth it) + free tuk tuk rides to daily activities & their recommended restaurants. Even when by myself, Lahiru took me kayaking, swimming with fireflies & showed how to peel & eat the lotus flower seeds from the lake. Hostel is only 5 min bike ride from centre & also provides giant delicious breakfast each morning!

Top hostel. Heel erg netjes, schone kamers en bedden met gordijnen. De host/ eigenaar organiseert dagelijks diverse activiteiten en brengt je gratis rond in zij tuk tuk! 10/10!

A small but social hostel. It is a beautiful and clean space. They are well versed in organising excursions and we really appreciated the complimentary tuk-tuk pick-ups and drop-offs so energy could be saved for hiking! They organised a very knowledgeable guide for the safari. I enjoyed learning how to play carrom.

Sigiri Serenity was one of my favourite hostels since travelling, I really enjoyed my stay here!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming it felt like home staying here. If coming to Sirgira I would highly recommend to stay here!!

Actually a good place to stay. But location was little bit far from center. They give free bicycles & other facilities also good. I stayed a short time so couldn't take a part in a events. But they dropped me at Pidurangala rock at sunrise hiking. Overall decent experience. Would Love to come again ❤️

Mein absolutes Lieblings Hostel 🥰🥰🥰

Best hostel we have stayed at in Asia! The owner is amazing and the free night transport is a game changer here because you can’t walk at night due to elephants. He went above and beyond for us and joined us on some excursions which was so fun. the hostel was incredible for the social aspect and the beds/showers are so good. It’s a smaller hostel but that was perfect for us as we got to know everybody and ended up doing activities together making it feel like a family (workers and all)!

Really welcoming, cozy, cool hostel. The guys that run the place are super friendly and chill. Free bicycles to use, hot showers and comfy beds. Staff can organise your elephant safari, and give lifts around Sigiriya by tuk tuk

best hostels by far in Sri lanka staff are very friendly and helpful such a nice atmosphere they tske you on free sunset and sunrise tour make you breakfast pick you up whenever needed and just really friendly helpful owners 100 percent recommend

Wonderful hostel and the owners were so nice and accommodating! Rooms were spacious and clean. The whole vibe of the place is so cool and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the upkeep of the hostel. Lots of activities organised through the hostel too which is a great way to meet people!!

Het was een fantastisch hostel. De eigenaar is zo aardig en behulpzaam. Voor de avonden is er een free pick up service. Ook kun je de eigenaar alles vragen en hij regelt het voor je. Ik zou zeker nog ooit terug gaan!🥰

the best hostel experience, i made in sri lanka. we had soo much fun! the guys working in the hostel made our stay in sigiriya a 10/10. they are so funny, caring and made you feel safe at every point. the hostel organized all activities we wanted to do in sigiriya. every time somebody from the hostel joined us, drove us by tuktuk, explained a lot, made pictures and made us laugh. i won‘t forget the wonderful time we had there!!
