+ I love coming to the hostel been going that a few years now it’s very spacious, clean and convenient to my work place
- I’ve always loved coming to the Hostel no complaints I had in the future but my last experience on this past Thursday night I was in the dorm by myself I had felt asleep to wake up to a man standing over me I started panicking asking him why was he in a female dorm he start to apologize telling me it was a mistake I just couldn’t understand how he book a female dorm without realizing what he booked it in the confirmation message that it’s a female dorm and it also has a poster on the door that say female dorm I went to find the lady that I guess the manager to ask her could she change the code because I felt unsafe at that moment and she refused to change the code 😩I was so afraid to go to sleep after what had happened I’ve never in my life experience anything like this I been going to this hostel over 5 years I’m so torn
+ Nothing
- The nakedness on the back porch. The jar of condoms in the restroom. The parking is ridiculous. The neighborhood is drug infested.
+ Nothing
- Hosts would not allow to change my reservations a few days in advance
+ none
- Saraswati and her mean attitude
The room I have been living in is actually a shed, no insulation so it got very cold and it was very clustered, almost no room at all. Will not recommend this hostel, unfortunately
No parking! I couldn't leave once I found a place to park!
No AC I smelled everyone that was staying there. Ended up just sleeping in my car. Place is a dump.
+ Location wasn’t downtown, but it is in a cute area with some places to see/things to do. Staff was nice at check in and facility is unique.
- The bed was horrible. I’m in my 20’s, still sleep on couches when visiting friends, hiked the Camino last year & stayed in hostels every night AND STILL have never slept in a bed I could not stand to sleep in until this experience. The bed in private room 1 was loud (made a creak every time you move) and had indentations/was sagging in all the wrong places. The only way we were able to get a couple hours of sleep was to put our head where our feet were since the mattress was mildly firm there. We contacted the host through the email given when booking asking if there were any rooms to switch to, but did not get a response. To get one night of rest we booked another hotel a bit farther out and ate the cost of our second night.
The tiny house had no heat or a/c, so it was either too hot or too cold depending on the weather. Space was too cramped and the window doesn’t have a screen and won’t stay open. Your only option for fresh air is to leave the door open which I don’t think is safe given my encounter with a strange person that wanted in to the hostel without a code. Management was quick to respond via text but having a person on site at that time would have been reassuring. The neighbors were also loud until ...
When I booked my stay here, I got an email saying that I have to leave the hostel between 11:00 and 13:00 so they can clean inside. The hostel is a house you live in together with the homeowners. You get a code to check in, which means you don't have any contact with the staff. Also, you get the check-in details 2 hours before you arrive so if you arrive early you have to call them to get inside. Lady owner was talking loud during quiet hours, she also put the music loud during the day.

Really nice place! Clean beds and environment! I used to live in lots of hotels and I’m tired of that. Decorations in this hostel really surprised me! And it’s also convenient. You can go to the retrocade and bars from here easily.

An absolutely lovely hostel experience in the convenient location of West Asheville. As soon as I arrived, I felt that I stepped into a new community—and I instantly felt welcomed. What I enjoyed most was spending a few hours outside giggling, storytelling, and doodling with staff and other guests around the fire under the waning crescent moon and few visible stars peeking through the clouded midnight sky. Oh, and the bed was super comfy and I felt very secure and safe during my stay. Om Sha...

+ Tucked away from the main hostel. Private enough.
- Parking is very tight but manageable. Bottom right corner of the bed frame destroyed my leg all weekend and shower space is insanely small.

Great place to stay. Guests and staff were very friendly.
+ The friendliness and price .
+ The location is excellent, but the inside of the hostel doesn't disappoint either--the kitchen was well equipped and all common spaces and bunks were clean, and there was a lovely lived-in charm to the whole space.
