Nice hostel, but not super clean. All in all I would recommend if you don’t want to spend that much money. Met nice people!

The hostel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly, the room was very basic but did the job, do expect lots of creepy crawlies (including scorpions and tarantulas) as the hostel is practically in the jungle. The hostel is close to semuc champey, however is quite a distance from anything else, so the only way to get around is by tuctuc. Would definitely recommend the semuc tour with the hostel :)

Imo cheaper and better than Greengo’s or Zephyr Lodge. Free pick-up truck to/from Lanquín; Semuc Champey is a 2–3 km walk from the hostel. For the way back to the hostel we took a cheap tuk-tuk. Food is good and affordable, and it’s easy to meet other travellers. In the jungle, scorpions or tarantulas can appear, so bring a mosquito net if needed. Very friendly staff who help organise shuttles and tours.
