Bed Bugs !!! Many of them !! Got bitten over the whole body. Furthermore the staff took the AC remote control & wanted to charge us 5€ per night. The AC was still in the room, he just removed the remote control so we could not use it ?! Laundry service - got the clothes back WET. The bathroom was completely flooded with water after (short) showering. Walls literally 1mm thick. If you are still considering going there, the only positive thing to say is that the atmosphere was social.

We stayed in a private room for a few nights and honestly, we wouldn’t repeat. -The place looks nothing like the photos. It was clean but, the “sheets” were actually old beach towels. -A/C cost an extra $5/night despite 30°C heat. -The owner gave off weird vibes, drinking strong alcohol with friends at the entrance, playing loud music and inviting guests to join. Uncomfortable. -Only good thing: it’s close to the beach. -Anonymous 10p reviews seem suspiciously fake.

Kindest people i met!! Thank you for the amazing time & conversations! Although the rooms where moldy and i felt Sick afterwards- such a pitty because you really have nice community & delicious Family dinners & good deals for surf board rental!

Naja … muss man nicht gesehen haben. Anscheinend war Off-Season. Eigentlich nur dort, andere Hotels und hostels waren voll … in Summe sehr schade

NE PAS Y METTRE LES PIEDS ! Nous sommes arrivées à 20h00, le gérant sur place était bourré/défoncé. Il nous a pressé pour boire un verre avec eux (deux hommes) et nous a largement incité à boire, à fumer/sniffer... Un peu agressif, il a haussé le ton quand on parlait français, à serré ma main très fort dans la sienne sans que j’y consente en nous faisant des allusions. DANGER! Do not stay in this hostel!! The hostelhost is not only creepy, he literally attacked 2 girls and their tuktukdriver when they tried to leave. Everyone was super uncomfortable. When people wanted to sleep I asked to turn down the music he played for him and his local friends at night, he came into the room drunk and high saying I was not allowed to complain and should wear earplugs. Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at.

I didn’t feel safe in this hostel. The hostel owner was always present, drinking and being disrespectful and unpleasant. He doesn’t get a no for an answer and behaves inappropriately especially towards women. Also it was a party hostel, the music was loud until late, sometimes until 3:00 in the morning. The walls of the rooms are really thin, especially in the women’s dorm which is right next to the chill area you can’t sleep peacefully. Also I didn’t like the shower/toilet situation a...

DO NOT STAY HERE. The owner is absolutely insane. He was either drunk/high every day from midday till about three in the morning. He blasts music alone so we can’t sleep. He told my friend with a simple medical issue he was dying of cancer, he damaged a taxi when friends checked out early and was hostile, turned off the WiFi as punishment for complaining, forced himself on everyone to drink wine with him. Tried to get me alone in a private room with himself. Females not safe. Owners a liar.

Ich habe mich sehr einsam in der Unterkunft gefühlt. Der Chef der manchmal vorbeischaut war richtig unfreundlich. Der Verwalter war aber nett.Es kommt wohl auf die anderen Reisenden an,ob man sich dort wohlfühlt oder nicht.

Had such a great time at this Hostel!! The atmosphere is super chill and you immediatly feel at home. This is mainly because of the amazing Hasintha:) also so many restauranrs nearby, would definetly recommend!

Chill but social vibes. AC in dorm is only switched on from 8pm-8am making it unbearably hot during the day. WiFi was good for Sri Lanka standards

Was a really nice and social hostel. I felt really comfortable. The beds I didn’t really like besides that good hostel, good to met people and is pretty central and really close to the beach. Extented from two to four nights:)

It’s a good hostel and really social vibe

I was meant to stay 3 nights and ended up staying 5 purely for the people and the vibes. Hasinda was an absolute legend, always offering coffee or tea, taking care of us, keeping the place clean and the vibes high.

I really enjoyed my stay at wanders!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of close by restaurants and the beach is only 8 minutes walk from the hostel. I would recommend staying here when coming to trimocaloee.

I stayed 3 nights in this hostel with a friend and the hostel is well located and there is a good recommendation!! You can go there with your eyes closed! Small mention to Assan the host who was ADORABLE and with whom we stayed the 3 evenings to chat, incredible moment thank you again

J'ai donc passé une nuit dans cet Hostel. J'ai été super bien accueilli, divers activités sont proposé. Hostel avec une ambiance super de partage, de music, de fou rire. Mon lit en dortoire était très comfortable, les personnes autour respecte le sommeil des autres. Je vous recommande cet Hostel tant pour sa quality d'accueil, l'ambiance et la quality du service. À 5 minutes de la plage. C'était juste parfait pour faire des rencontres et profiter un maximum des possibility sur Trincom...

I stayed here for 3 nights and hands down this is the best hostel. Everything about the place is amazing great atmosphere, clean rooms, and a perfect location with everything nearby and the beach just a short walk away. A special thanks to Asintha, who is one of the best hosts ever. He is very helpful, friendly, and always makes sure guests are comfortable. Beautiful place, great vibes, and unforgettable experience. We enjoyed staying here. Its a good place with basic facilities for a good price. Close to a street full of nice restaurants and close to the beach. There is a good and social common area. Hasintha was the staff and host during our stay and he is funny and very friendly. Helping you with everything you want to do in trinco. I definitely recommend this place!

It was really nice but I was in the session opening time ther and nobody was around.

Staff was super helpful, let me extend by an extra night, helped get me a Tuk Tuk as well

Had a really lovely stay for a few days here and extended. Such a good base to see Trincomalee, the staff were exceptionally welcoming too!

The best Hostel there is!

Despite going here off season, this hostel had the BEST atmosphere. A truly great experience and Chatu, the host, couldn’t have been more welcoming and kind, letting us extend 4 days in a row (as it was that good!!). He even gave us little snacks which were all local cuisine. Perfect location right on the beach too! Definitely a must stay here! Thank you :)

A really friendly and relaxed hostel in a great location. Staff are so helpful and organised multiple things for us like taxis and even got a local to take us up to see the crocodiles. Facilities are very basic but do the job. Air con is also good so we had a good sleep.

Really friendly staff that is more than eager to help you with any need! Rooms pretty basic but everything you need. Atmosphere is very chill and its easy to socialise! Would definitely recommend!!!

I really loved this hostel! No its not comfortable but its clean, the hosts are amazing. Can recommend the breakfast (not included but worth the 1200r) For the ladies; the female dorm doesn’t have an airco, but I got used to it. Stayed way longer then expected because of the amazing vibe. Love this place ❤️
