Village House

I was very kindly collected from the bus stop at 3am by motorbike. I was able to check in for half the night. The staff were very kind. When I woke up I realized that the hostel was empty. As a solo traveler I did not feel comfortable staying at such a quite place. Also the outside area did not look like the pictures (presumably due to Covid). I checked out that day to stay at a different hostel.

The family was lovely and very welcoming, and the location is a good distance away from the main part of town. The only downside was that the room was very damp and the bedding was a bit as well, and we weren’t given a room key.

The staff is incredibly kind! The facility is clean and the breakfast prepared in the morning is delicious! I only advise to the staff to figure out how to eliminate the smell of humidity when it rains.

the actual hostel is not bad, however it’s far from the city center (considering how small the town is), the staff is super nice but not all of them speak english

Okay place tk stay, but the guy in the reception charged 50k dong for the "free bicycles". It wasn't a deposit either since I never got it back. Besides that he was helpful though. The location isn't that good if you wanna go into Town. You need a scooter or bicycle...

Lovely riverside place, great hang out area and delicious breakfast! The dorm room was very dark with an en-suite toilet, meaning noise travels into the room

The owner/staff were friendly and helpful. Bicycles were for free so all good. Breakfast was great and the view at the waterfront was great. But while the hostel was generally clean we had a cockroach in our dorm the first night (it‘s probably quite difficult to keep them out in this climate) and the toilets smelled horribly (in the dorm and a private room I switched to for the second night). So if you’re sensitive to smell maybe consider an alternative hostel. Otherwise clean.

A really amazing place. The family here are so nice and accommodating. They were very helpful when I needed to go to the hospital for an injury- they drove me there and back late at night for cheaper than a grab. Breakfast was delicious and they even gave me breakfast to go when I checked out.

I had an amazing stay here. The river in the backyard is perfect to refresh. It is a lovely family who host you here. It is very peacefull and the view it is the best. We did a family dinner and the food was so good, litteraly veggies from the garden. It is the best homestay i’ve been since i started my trip in vietnam. I really loved it, thank you so much!

Le jardin avec accès à la rivière est top, ils louent des paddle et le personnel est super sympa et serviable, je recommande !

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Village House. Die Betten waren für Stockbetten sehr groß und das Zimmer super sauber. Einziges Manko ist, dass es leider nur ein Bad für alle gab, aber ansonsten war alles super. Die Familie bei der man wohnt ist super nett und zuvorkommend und haben uns immer sofort geholfen, wenn wir ein Problem hatten. Man konnte in der Unterkunft Fahrräder und Roller ausleihen was toll war, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Auch die Lage am Fluss war super schön.

Most beautiful place to stay on the river and the family is super friendly. Absolutely recommend this place, it’s got a great location, with a little swimming spot out the front. Rooms are clean and food is great.

Lovely Place

absolutely loved our stay. we had a private room and it was super clean, big and comfy. the location is amazing, with a stunning view of the river from the garden. the family who run it are lovely and helpful. we rented a bike there, got our laundry done and booked our bus and it was all smooth. breakfast was delicious too, I loved the banana pancakes. the family dinner was also delicious, and they have it every night. this place will hold a special place in my heart❤️

I can highly recommend this homestay. The family is incredibly kind and always helpful. The family dinner was also delicious, and it was a great way to get to know other travelers. I will especially miss the area by the river. As a little tip, you can also rent SUP boards—it was such a wonderful experience. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The staff was amazing, although the location was a bit far from the center, they offered free rides to the bus station. They also helped me to book a tour even before I arrived, they were available for late check in, and for any questions I had via WhatsApp. I had a private room, it was clean, hot water, AC and quite cheap. The garden is nice, amazing view and authentic vibes. Thanks so much Tuyen 🙏🏾 hope to see you again

so gemütlich, perfekte Lage etwas außerhalb direkt am Fluss, liebe Gastgeber und sehr leckeres Essen! Empfehle auf jeden Fall mal am Family Dinner teilzunehmen

Lovely view over the water but about a 20 min walk from the central strip, fine if you have a bike. Guy on reception was lovely and showed me how to ride a scooter. Didn’t seem overly social but I didn’t spend much time in the actual hostel

Loved staying here!! It’s very chill and not the most social but the owners are great and the rooms are big and clean. The hammocks near the river are also soooooo nice, there’s family dinners, and you can easily do laundry, rent a motorbike, and book tours through them. I really loved my stay here but don’t expect a social/party hostel at all.

One of my favourite hostels ever! The owner is really nice, the location right next to the river is so peaceful and breakfast & family dinner were amazing. Really loved my stay here!

What an incredible Hostel, right next to the river! I started my mornings with a swim and then breakfast by the river. Tuyen and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s a very calm place to stay, a bit of a walk from the main Phong Nha street but worth it for the location next to the river! A big shower room for the dorm I stayed in, very high ceilings! All very clean and well-kept. Definitely a place I would like to return to, if you get the chance, try the family dinner -deliciou...
