Terrible experience ⚠️ BED BUGS ⚠️ Found bed bugs in the bed and also in my bag after the first night. Another traveller woke up to find themselves covered in numerous bed bug bites. Had to pay to wash all of my belongings. Moved to another hostel nearby. Family Host hostel refused to refund either nights stay despite being infested with bed bugs or apologising. Hostel also had a strange atmosphere with unhelpful staff.
One of the worst places I stayed in during my trip in Colombia. The staff is very unfriendly, and our room had bedbugs. Don’t recommend. The location is nice and it’s cheap to stay.
La atención y la experiencia en el lugar fueron pésimas, todo estaba muy sucio, el baño siempre lleno de pelos, las cosas en la cocina a medio lavar, los cuartos sucios y con mal olor. El lugar es atendido únicamente por voluntarios que apenas hacen lo mínimo. Además los mismos estuvieron de fiesta las dos noches qué estuve, llegando tarde haciendo mucho ruido (demasiado), dejando el baño en condiciones horribles y dejando un olor pésimo en el cuarto, mi amigo fue cambiado de cuarto sol...
The attention and experience at the place was terrible, everything was very dirty, the bathroom was always full of hair, things in the kitchen were half-washed, the rooms were dirty and smelly. the place is only served by volunteers who do just the minimum. in addition they themselves were partying the two nights I was there, arriving late making a lot of noise (too much), leaving the bathroom in horrible conditions and leaving a horrible smell in the room, my friend was moved from room to room ...
le lieu est très sympa, près du centre, mais au calme. la chambre privée est très sympa. par contre pas d'eau chaude. Et le soir il fait frais donc pas facile.. pour le reste parfait. par contre, nous avions des vêtements neufs, de chez Decathlon, et nous avons retrouvé plusieurs culottes/ slips troués, et les fibres des pantalons cramés. il y a un écriteau ouù il est précisé de ne pas donner de vêtements troués, peut être pour se dédouaner. mais je pense que la machine a un prob...
The place is very nice, close to the center, but quiet. the private room is very nice. however no hot water. and in the evening it's cold so not easy.. for the perfect rest. however, we had new clothes, from Decathlon, and we found several panties/ties with holes, and the fibers of the pants burned. there is a sign where it says not to give holes in clothes, maybe to clear customs. but I think the machine has a problem.
nous avons réservé une chambre double mais à notre arrivée, pas de chambre double disponible. nous avons eu un dortoir sans autre voyageur avec un discount. Terrasse extérieure agréable mais non fumeur. niveau isolation sonore, acceptable pour les lourds sommeils. Le meilleur : douche chaude !
we booked a double room but on arrival, no double room available. we had a dorm room without other traveler with a discount. nice outdoor terrace but non-smoking. soundproof level, acceptable for heavy sleeping. best: hot shower !
⚠️ PUNAISES DE LIT ⚠️ BED BUGS ⚠️ CHINCHES ! Me da verguenza dirlo porque el equipo es excelente, todo el personal muy amable pero hay chinches y me quedé bastante tiempo para observar que el dueño no reaccionó al problema
I am ashamed to say it because the equipment is excellent, all the staff is very friendly but there are bed bugs and I stayed long enough to observe that the owner did not react to the problem.

Photos does not match the hostel. It is very dirty. You have to take of your shoes at the entrance but at the point you reach your room your socks are filthy. Hair in the rooms and bathroom. Stained mattress. Dirty dishes and cockroaches. Staff is a mixed bunch. Some are pleasant, others are rude, bordering on seeming hostile. Not exactly a very welcoming atmosphere (depending on who is working) On the plus side. This hostel has a lot of services: laundry, bike rental, towels, breakfast.
We booked 2 nights and only stayed 1. They double booked us and we ended up having to share a single bed. According to others they often double book. The sheets in the beds clearly hadn't been changed, there was dirt, hair and egg shells in the bed. The kitchen had cockroaches, including one in a pan we tried to use. When we exaplained the problems to the staff in the morning, they refused to give us a refund. The hostel has a good location and terrace so it was a shame our experience was bad.
Stayed in a private room without bathroom for 2 nights. The matras was awful and probably pretty old, so you were basically just sleeping on the wooden panel underneath. 1st morning on a sunday we were woken up by the sound of yelling children at 8 am. The location is pretty good, owners are kind and there is a cute dog that works as a guard. This place has potential but needs a fresh up.

Arrived at 8pm and expected our room to be ready but nope. it’s like someone just slept there and then the beds weren’t made properly and were used sheets. when we told the lady at the reception she wasn’t apologetic or anything. loved the brazilian volunteer though
Super auberge, on s’y sent comme à la maison, très bon accueil, convivial, agréable et propre. Je recommande a 100% et les ptits dej sont trop bons ;) speciale dédicace aux volontaires présents lors de mon séjour 🫶🏼

On devait y rester 2 jours. On est finalement restés 7 ! Un havre de paix où on se sent en sécurité et chez nous. C’est plus une maison qu’un Hostel. Je recommande à mille pour-cent
We were supposed to stay there for 2 days. we finally stayed 7! a haven of peace where you feel safe and at home. it's more of a house than a hostel. i recommend it a thousand percent
L'hostel porte bien son nom, l'ambiance qui y règne est familiale et tranquille. Les espaces communs sont propices aux rencontres aussi bien qu'au repos. Les volontaires sont gentils et disponibles.
The hostel lives up to its name, the atmosphere is family friendly and quiet, the common areas are conducive to meetings as well as to rest, the volunteers are friendly and available.
We loved staying at this hostel, the staff were all really friendly. Loved the town and also the friendly street dogs! Thanks Gilma for our funny bingo night!

Great! the staff was friendly, I stayed two nights, the room was empty, the beds were covered in beds, all freshly washed clean, very fragrant! I am very satisfied

Only stayed for one night unfortunately because I had to get back to Bogotá but would have loved to stay longer. Great hostel and very friendly staff! The kitchen is well equipped too.

Personnel accueillant et très souriant, c’est un petit hostel donc comme son nom l’indique il a une ambiance très familiale, il est facile de rencontrer des gens dans les parties communes

Love this hostel. Had to return on my second trip to Colombia. Beautiful town and great location with only a short walk to the centre. Super safe and in a nice quiet street. Ronald and the team were great hosts and cute dog to relax on the terrace with. Small but good family vibes, nice spot to meet travellers.
The hostel is great, it’s clean and very peaceful. The staff is really nice ! And the breakfasts are incredible!!
