The hostel had ZERO atmosphere. I brought my family here, with the intention of showing them what a hostel experience is like (my oldest is turning 15 soon and will be traveling on her own at 19). This hostel seemed to be way past it's heyday. Location was great, but the atmosphere was the pits. Everything was rundown and it looked like just a dayhouse = for longterm renters. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was working A/C. The room was clean and I could tell they did their best to make the room as nice as they could, BUT the photos did NOT reflect the room I was put in. The room was underneath the hostel and down a dimly lit cellar hallway. The room had unpainted, concrete walls with a bunk bed, a mattress on the floor, and a metal framed twin bed….much like a scary dungeon. Cockroaches since it was in a basement.

My shoes got stolen! I I got 20$ from the hostel, not safe!

Wir haben super nette Leute im Hostel kennengelernt aber das Hostel an sich war leider anders als durch die Bilder erwartet. Es war alles sehr dreckig, besonders die Küche mit viele anreisen und es gab keine Mückennetze in den Zimmern und duschen war leider nur kalt möglich. Am Ende hat es mich noch etwas schockiert, dass das Tor in das Hostel immer offen war und man die Zimmertüren nicht abschließen konnte. Kurz gesagt, wir waren froh als wir wieder weg waren.

The room was dirty and the bed was not changed from last user ( I guess because it was full of hairs)

Roaches everywhere

No AC even though it is indicated on website . No hot water for shower. Was charged additional 15% when paid for the room using card instead of cash, absolutely ridiculous. Toilets were filthy; hair was not cleaned from the shower area, drainage was terrible. Probably 10-15 people sharing 1 bathroom. Will not recommend and will not stay again. Shortened my stay and moved elsewhere.

NOT AS PICTURES SAY IT IS!! BUYER BEWARE. We booked this place for our family based on the amazing pictures and even a video. When we got there it was dirty and rundown. No video games for our kids, ants and spiders all over the beds in our room, dirty sheets, moldy walls, smelly furniture. The owners are super helpful and friendly and the kitchen facilities were good. Too bad we left early because of the cleanliness and false advertising :(

Mein Zimmer war leider nicht sauber und es hat gestunken. Die Leute waren komisch und das Hostel liegt weit außerhalb. Ich habe nach einer Nacht das Hostel gewechselt, weil ich keine weitere Nacht dort schlafen wollte...

Netter Gemeinschaftsbereich, große Küche, netter Besitzer. Zimmer etwas runtergerockt und nicht sehr sauber, Küchenausstattung könnte ausgetauscht werden. Für den Preis, vor allem in Costa Rica, eine solide Bleibe.

Awesome location and very friendly staff. Great spot if you’re looking to meet new people.

Amazing facilites, cheap price, central location. Gym and Co-working space was perfect, owner adrian was fantastic!

Staff were kind and helpful. It was nice to have our own room but bring your own clean sheets or sleeping bag and wear shower shoes!!

Nice little place, a little out of town but not far. Really friendly and helpful staff, although did give me the wrong bus stop location for 5:30am… made it though and not personal to the hostel obviously. Cockroach was also found in the room which is part of the ‘experience’ I suppose but just an fyi

Confortável, calmo e espaçoso. Perto do mercado. Combina perfeitamente com a tranquilidade do clima montanhoso. Hostel também hospedam locais que vão trabalhar na região, eles também são muito amigáveis. Se busca interações com locais, é o lugar certo.

The property was in a great location, facilities were really nice. The host was very accommodating and gave good information on what to do.

Excellent space! The owner is a lovely man who is very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure my stay was very comfortable. The dorms don’t have AC but there are small fans and the space has a ton of activities and even a gym and an AC co-working space upstairs! I highly recommend this hostel! Gracias Jefe!

Un véritable havre de paix, calme et apaisant, parfait pour se reposer. Le lieu est très bien entretenu et idéalement situé. L’hôte est d’une grande bienveillance, toujours à l’écoute et prêt à aider avec le cœur. Mention toute spéciale à Coco, le chat de la maison, véritable boule d’amour et grand distributeur de câlins !!!

The host is incredibly friendly, helpful, and very communicative. He is always happy to assist with any questions or concerns and genuinely enjoys interacting with the backpackers, which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. What I also really loved were the activities and facilities offered at the hostel things like table tennis, a gym, and other shared spaces make it easy to meet people and feel comfortable during your stay. I can highly recommend this place

Super auberge. Bri est une personne exceptionnelle, bienveillante et gentille. La cuisine est très bien équipée, le ménage est fait tous les jours. C'était génial ❤️
