Adagio Hostel 2.0 Basilica

Even though I reserved a space and made payment, hostel staff refused to give place. Stating that they forgot to allot space and now all spaces are full so cannot give room. And have over booked than available space. So i was stranded outside hostel in midnight in a new city. Have to walk for hours with my luggage, as no public transport available so used taxi and knock multiple hostels doors to get a bed at 3 times price than i booked.

This hostel made my experience in Budapest absolutely terrible. The wifi barely worked, no privacy at all; you could hear whispers because rooms so small, staff were terrible and rude, Refused to turn on the air conditioning. Out of pure spite one of the staff members turned up the aircon up to 32° after I begged for it to be colder. We requested a refund for our second night stay with 24hr notice, which was declined. cleaners enter 8am using Loud vacuum. Absolutely do not recommend. Bed is fin...

I arrived at 2am and I was told there was reception 24 hours. I called them 5 times prior to my arrival to confirm everything but they never answered the phone, again when I ringed the bell no body opened the door for me. Thanks to someone who wrote the code for the front door on the chat I could enter,otherwise I would have to spend the night out or find a new place. The bed was at least 1.60 m above the ground with zero protection,so extremely dangerous.

The hostel was really dirty, hard beds, really rude staff, lockers are not great.. money got stolen. Do not reccomment.

I got bed bug bites! We stayed there only one night. When we complained to the people at the reception (and showed the bites) they disrespected us and told things like “do not teach me about bites, I am the one working here”, “I’m an expert in bed bugs” and so on. After a long discussion, we only got one bed refunded (not the ones of my two friends who stayed in the same room) and they did not tell any other person in the room or even started making any measures to prevent further sp...

Good - the room and bed are good with curtains The location is good Bad - the reception guy (the one with glass and dark skin ) has serious communications problems. Very rude and ignoring. It’s like you are talking to a machine. Very rude. Bad - the hostel environment is not good. Bad - the kitchen is very unorganized. Bad - common area doesn’t have proper char or sofa to sit. All like chair in bar. Uncomfortable.

The pros: relatively good location/access to airport bus. Cons: very hard to find from the street, not very clean, cramped rooms, curtains barely covered beds, small lockers, aircon only turned on during limited hours, and most especially incredibly rude and unhelpful staff. The smallest of questions to staff was as though you were asking the world…. Would not stay again.

I am extremely disturbed by my experience staying at Adagio Hostel 2.0 Basilica location. I was woken up by the receptionist unlocking my locked door at 4:30am not once but twice. The second time the receptionist opened my door he walked into my room and it was not until I woke up my friend that he quickly turned around and left my room. I confronted the man and he told me he was looking for a cigarette. This is a violation of my privacy and safety. As a 20 year old female I felt very threatened

A pesar de que el recepcionista estaba allí, pero no abría la puerta, nosotros esperamos casi 10-15 minutos, luego otra persona abrió la puerto y cuando lo preguntamos al recepcionista “por qué no abres la puerta?” no nos respondió y su inglés era fatal…

Súper recomendable, las habitaciones son grandes y cómodas, la ubicación está muy buena y el personal es muy amable.

Had an incident where the doorhandle to the bathroom broke. It didn't get fixed for 2 days. Otherwise it was a good place to stay, but maybe not for someone who is sensitive to sound. It was two main roads outside

Our stay was great! The staff was very accommodating to our group checking in at different times. They were very helpful and understanding. One good thing to note is you have to pay in cash. My group did not know this and it was difficult to find an atm without a high conversion rate.

hostel is good on the budget. no complain on thethe prices. but finding thethe hostel is a bit confusing as it located near to another hotel and there is no any signboard,so.

Muy buena ubicación, limpio, cocina cómoda para cocinar y heladera para guardar. Es un hostel tranquilo, donde hay mucho silencio. Mi habitación de 8 camas con baño completo y BALCÓN!!! El personal se lo ve muy poco involucrado, cumpliendo 100% su puesto pero 0 en trato con los huéspedes. Ni te miran.

Great location Great staff Downside is the common area. There is nothing except a bland kitchen. The common area is also closed off to everyone after 1145pm. No board games or lounge to meet others, just two couches.

The location is great! The staff were very helpful. There is some noise from the street outside so if you are a light sleeper it might be good to bring some earplugs.

Hostel is in excellent location if you go to the airport. Or arrive by plane. Stuff is great. Just make sure if a singl girl books the bed not to put her in a room with man with poor hygiene. I was lucky to get room changed because in the room that was given to me had horrible smell because somebody in the room was falling apart.

it's a good place i appreciate all the tourism places are nearby but unfortunately the vibe was missing maybe i visited the wrong time but still was able to make good friends

The staff were some of the most unfriendly and unmotivated people I’ve seen in a very long time. People like that shouldn’t be working in a hostel. The hostel itself, however, is quite good. The beds are comfortable, the showers are excellent, and everything is pretty clean. The Wi-Fi in the room is okay. Really bad beds. Our beds were in a loft where you had to crawl up a ladder to get there, which was a bit annoying. The beds were quite firm and creaked every time you moved the slightest bit. The kitchen was great though and the hostels location was great

I approached one morning at the reception at about 7.15am to ask about how to use the stove as it seemed to me that the stove was not working. The personnel at the reception (David) very rudely said: ‘leave me alone! This is not my job and don’t interrupt me and I am not in charge of the kitchen' He tried to excused himself but he kept justifing his behavior. David was RUDE, VULGAR and INVASIVE. His English was poor.

the hostel is inside a really old building. the entrance and the stairs are fantastic. the hostel is really clean and charming overall

A very good stay

It was safe ,clean and the location is in a really good place. It’s also really cheap hostel. And it’s also social place you can find friends easily. I love everything about it. Can you believe it , I missed my train to Florence and I I wasn’t even sad because I was staying one more night in this beautiful hostel !!! Definitely gonna come back again…
