Northern Hostel - Bui Vien Walking Street

Nightmare. Waited in heat after delay, switched hostels without warning, shown an oven-like room. Told to leave bc she could tell I wasn't happy, then she erupted: screaming, pushing, phone knocked out of my hand. Loud staff fight. Detained on exit, driver delayed. Tours ruined, refund a grueling fight, staff consistently discourteous, dismissing, disorganized. Zero stars is accurate. Unbelievably unprofessional. Unfathomable behavior. I had to plead for a full refund after being told to leave.

Leider waren in meinem Einzelzimmer die Toilette kaputt. Das hat sich leider insgesamt auch nicht sehr flexibel mit möglichen Lösungen gezeigt. Ansonsten war das Zimmer wie beschrieben und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich.

Felt very safe here, good sized dorms, owner was SO lovely- really went above & beyond. Unfortunately, these were the only positives of my stay here. Only one bathroom on each floor, warm water didn’t work very well. The location is 1. Quite difficult to find, as there are two northern hostels and 2. Far too close to Walking Street, with earplugs could still hear music early hours of the morning. Very small common area, not a very social hostel :( Would not stay here again.

Northen is an example of a hostel run with minimun oversight. Rose is behind every detail for a clean and secure place. I booked in a 6-bed room w/ shared bath, with a decent (no too big) locker, light, curtains, towel and A/C. No kitchen. Just a electric tea pot and a fridge, and a table next to the reception desk, unused most of the time. Location is excellent - throughout a maze - close to attractions, shops and buses. Still, the underveloped common area could made the experience a little dry

This place is cute and a good stay. It’s pretty hard to find as it’s down the alleyway off of bui vien street. I recommend letting the hostel know what time you will be arriving so someone will be there to help you out if need be. The pillows are hard but there are curtains on the beds and lockers in the rooms. Very nice place :)

I think this place is 10000% worth the price. I was worried about the cleanliness due to previous reviews, but I was super pleasantly surprised. My bed was clean & comfortable, proper privacy curtains, and shower & toilet are separated (luxury in Asia). Note that it’s not a social hostel whatsoever. My only complaint is the noise- they must be having plumbing issues because all throughout the night you hear very loud noises from the plumbing, they seem to be trying to fix it rn though.

Perfect hostel if you want to be in the centre of the nightlife Ho Chi Minh has to offer without having to deal with the madness. Rooms were nice and comfortable and the facilities were a up to a great standard. The owners was also so helpful whenever we needed her too. Will definitely be back!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt:)

It is really very nice. I even extended my stay. Clean and comfortable and friendly. The only downside is that there is only one toile on each floor but usually this was not a problem. Plus it is in a fantastic location.

Super séjour C est propre lumineux calme et bien placé Et la gérante est adorable

Lovely hostel!! great location and staff were so kind and accommodating, really recommend :)

Perfect location, very close to the walking street but far enough you dont get noise in the room. The staff are amazing! Rose is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfy and facilities are always clean. There isnt a socialising area, but i still really enjoyed my stay - Highly recommend :)

The place is little difficult to find. Maybe I didn’t see the pictures/instructions to find. Beds n ensuite feels high quality. Staff nice.
