The stay at the hostel was terrible. First, the morning host—a Spanish girl—had a very bad attitude and wasn't helpful at all. Later, when I arrived tired in the afternoon, Harold was kind and helped with my booking. But the private room with a bathroom had a broken toilet, leftover feces, and a horrible smell that filled the room if the door was opened. Instead of really helping, they just gave me a cap and less than half of what I paid. Bad experience, don’t recommend.
The staff were very rude and unhelpful towards us, they seemed more interested in smoking on the balcony than working to help the customers. We were in an 8 bed room, when arriving the beds had clearly both been made but not changed from the previous people, my partners bed stunk of weed so much so that I could smell it on the bottom bunk. They pretended to change the bedding (I watched) music stayed on till 6 am, I’ve lodged a complaint but did not receive a refund, Stay anywhere but here
Me hicieron 3 cobros y no me generaron la devolución de ninguno , cuando hice check in me comentaron que a más tardar mi día de salida me reembolsarían en dinero y nunca lo hicieron
They made me 3 collections and they didn't generate a refund for any of them, when I checked in they commented that by the latest on my departure day they would refund me in cash and they never did
He pagado por una cama que no tuve ocasión de usar. No conozco este Hostel que he pagado porque el vuelo retrasado un día llegue el día 5 a Montevideo y el mail que envié al Montevideo viajeros no me lo han respondido. Estoy enfadada.
I have paid for a bed that I didn't have the opportunity to use. i don't know this hostel that i paid for because the delayed flight one day arrives on the 5th in montevideo and the email i sent to montevideo travelers have not answered it. i am angry.
Very expensive and definitely better options exist in Montevideo. Staff were not very happy when they saw that l don’t speak spanish so they ignored me when l tried to check in and made other people skip ahead of me just because they knew spanish. Very bad experience
I stayed several Viajero hostels in South Amarica. By a significant margin, this is the worst one. Facilities etc. are just about average or slightly below but the staff, especially the reception people, are unbelievably UNFRIENDLY, ARROGANT and RUDE. I stayed here for days but very happy to leave. If you like friendly staff, do not come here.
Wir waren für 3 Tage hier und würden tendenziell das Hostel nicht unbedingt wieder buchen. Positiv: Die Lage ist top - direkt in der Altstadt und man ist direkt in Sichtweite einiger Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Gebäude ist schön und groß und der Stil ist schön. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Sauberkeit war wirklich mangelhaft - wir hatten ein 8er Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und dieses wurde nie wirklich sauber gemacht. Es gab keine Seife weder für Hände noch Spender in der Dusche. Handtücher ha...
We were here for 3 days and would not necessarily book the hostel again. Positive: The location is top notch - right in the Altstadt and you are right in the sight of some sights. The building is beautiful and large and the style is nice. Suggestions for improvement: Cleanliness was really lacking - we had an 8 bedroom with its own bathroom and this one was not really cleaned. There was no soap for hands or a dispenser in the shower. Towels were missing.
The rooms were dirty (e.g. hairs in the bed). There were no events at all, only good thing was the friendly staff.

Spotted bedding, a mattress with a hole in the middle and a very dirty bedroom rug.

nice place to stay in Montevideo
Ich mochte es nicht so gerne, als ich am Dienstag Abend ankam, lief so laute Musik, dass ich die Einweisung nicht verstehen konnte. Sie zeigen einem nichts, sondern nur mit dem Finger in verschiedene Richtungen. Der Teppich im Dorm war richtig eklig und der Geruch etwas seltsam. Die Seife war immer leer, überall. Man merkt, dass es eine Kette ist und irgendwer viel daran verdient, der aber nicht dort arbeitet.
I didn't like it so much when I arrived on Tuesday evening, there was so much music playing that I couldn't understand the instructions. They point at you with nothing but fingers in different directions. The rug in the dorm was really ugly and the smell was a little strange. The soap was always empty, everywhere. You realize it's a chain and someone makes a lot of money from it, but doesn't work there.
One of the nicest AC units I’ve ever had in a private room, but that’s about as far as the positives go. Towel and sheets were disgusting. Horrible location - wouldn’t recommend staying in Ciudad Vieja as almost nothing around is open on nights and weekends. Tons of unfriendly staff who live there but never seem to be working, just drinking and blasting loud music.
A nice hostel. Good vibes. comfy beds. great location. staff were nice. a free to use spice rack was game changing for cooking!!!

I loved the experience of staying at this hostel! super well located, the facilities are great, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the guests are also super friendly. would stay again!
Good location and cool building with coworking and rooftop bar, but other than that not that clean - stayed there for 4 days and there was never any soap of any of the toilets and no toilet seat. Some of the staff was nice but some were a bit rude and kind of lazy and not helpful and only wanted to hang out with their friends. The vibe was generally kind of weird with strange people staying there.
One of those hostels that I wish I would go back. The breathtaking view from the roof, the big space for meeting people, activities that they offer, and the most important - the people who work there. Special thanks to reception guy - Kenny, very charismatic person, my man keep that energy!
Enjoyed my time here, and they have a nice common area. If you are looking for a chill vibe with amazing location and a stunning rooftop view, this is your spot.
