24 Street Hostel Koh Tao

The bathroom looked like it had been bombed. The shower went crazy and sprayed water everywhere. The room floor had cracks and looked just as destroyed. The bedsheet looked like it had been eaten by mice, and the walls had stains from human fluids. The terrace door wouldn’t close, so mosquitoes kept coming in. One person in the room had a stomach virus and there was no soap in the bathroom. When we asked to change rooms, the worker was high, yelled at us, and watched TikTok loudly. Very noisy.

Worst hostel I have been to. Definitely not worth the price - Club directly on the other side of the street that plays music until 2 am (couldn't sleep) - Toilet flush didn't work and water was dripping from the ceiling - I messaged the staff via Whatsapp but they never responded. Staff at the reception didn't really speak English

Very loud at night. No AC. No curtains

Terrible stay, we had booked 4 nights, but after a single night we already searched for new accommodation. Felt very unsafe at night and the door to the porch did not close so it was very loud music until 2 at night. The floor was dirty and the beds very incredibly hard. No privacy in the upper bunk. Would definitely not reccommend. The only thing that helped our stay was the staff, they were helpful and kind.

Schrecklich! Man kann nachts bis 2 nicht einschlafen weil es so laut ist und die Betten haben Besbugs! Nicht buchen

The hostel is located directly opposite a karaoke bar, you could practically touch it from our balcony which made it an extremely loud place at night. Our bathroom door barely closed and the privacy curtains barely covered half the bed. Would not recommend staying here unless you are extremely stuck. We didn’t interact with or see any other guests or staff members over 4 nights. Weird vibe and would have moved mid stay if we could have!

Smelt awful in the bathroom. Beds were like rocks. Would avoid as you won’t sleep it’s right next to a karaoke bar.

Absolutely do not stay in this hostel! It was FILTHY. The rooms were tiny and had no lockers, not even a cubby for valuables. It was on a street with all the bars and was so noisy until 3am, felt like you were in the bar. There’s no social area. The bathroom was disgusting, don’t think it had been cleaned in months and it smelt of urine. There were cockroaches in there too. Stayed one night instead of my 3 and left such an awful experience. Location was the only good thing about it.

For the price in this area it was a great hostel - room and beds did the job. We were lucky to make friends in our room but otherwise it would maybe not be very social as people don’t seem to spend time in the downstairs area (which would be considered the common room maybe). Right on the main street for bars and nightlife so handy for that and not too loud considering but obviously can expect a little noise (I slept fine). Close to Sairee beach, 7-11, shops, restaurant, scooter rental. Great!

Says it’s not a party hostel but it is there is loud music outside and the bottom part is turned into a bar but that’s manageable. The people staying in it are 100% party people wanting to be close to the strip/nomads. We had someone walk into our room and use the bathroom in the middle of the night so be aware, the bathroom did not lock and was defo mouldy. In a great location to everything tho. Don’t make the same mistake a few of us did by staying here if you want a calm non party hoste...
