Balarm Hostel and Bar

+ The morning after a terrible night we had a wonderful and helpful front desk(Antonia? Who was a100% different from the night clerk. He help us get a car to take us around ( as I am handicap with MS. )

- The property was not as shown on Booking.com. Air Conditioning is controlled by desk clerk and no control in room. Room was extremely warm and the shower was extremely small and no air condition closet for bathroom. One of us got locked out of the room and two of us got locked in room and the clerk had to climb through window to get us out. No window view of garden or even outside. Picture of table on balcony is a laugh! Yes there is one just for show in breakfast area. No bar!!! Window view of door that clerk climbed through to get us out of room. No garage near by or under building as told when I called to say how handicap I was. Was unable to get cab from garage and had to walk over 400 meters in extreme heat with suitcases to hotel. Clerk was extremely unhelpful and down right rude and called me a liar ( no way did you call). When I did call before arrival he hung up on me. Cancelled the next night of my stay!!! This hotel is not handicap accessible! Breakfast was good, breakfast staff courteous and Antonio on the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful and ended our stay with helpful suggestions for car tour and car to take us and our luggage to garage. + Dell'hotel nulla

- Pessima struttura, materassi di spugna e letto aggiuntivo con reti degli anni 80, bagno diviso per metà parete e l'atra metà aperta in comune con altra camera. Porte in legno anni 70 che chiudono male e si sente tutto

+ Solo la vicinanza alla stazione

- Struttura fatiscente, prese attaccate con lo scotch, c’era l’ascensore ma uno dello staff non me l’ha detto e ho dovuto trasportare due valigioni per le scale senza il minimo aiuto.

+ The location and the staff

- Everything , the hotel was too old . Starting with the building, the rooms , the furniture, the elevator. They had a strange policy to not allow you to have the remote of the A.C. You should go to the reception and tell to the recepsionist to switch it on or off . If you want to go out you should leave the keys of the room every time at the reception

+ Location to the train station

- We found it strange that you had to ask reception to control the air conditioning. Bed was broken which meant a good night sleep was impossible and the road noise was painfully loud.

+ Center of everything.

- The staff turns the AC on only when you are in the room. AC in the room did not work. Very hot and the staff refused to call a tech to fix the AC.

+ Sicuramente la posizione centrale della struttura, la hall e l'educazione e disponibilità dello staff tutto.

- Non mi sono piaciuti:la camera, i letti (pessimi), l'aria condizionata centralizzata, la mancanza di un frigo bar in camera, il costo elevato della colazione rispetto a quello che offriva, insomma abbastanza delusi da non ritornarci più sicuramente.

+ The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

- It is an old, run-down, neglected, dusty, heavy smelling, stained everywhere and antsy hotel. The beds are very old and full of ants. If you're planning to book this hotel, think again, don't be fooled by the pictures, it may be at least twenty years old. When we showed the ant in the bed, the reception staff replied that it's not a problem, just an ant and that ant bit us. Breakfast was very awful. Booking should not sell this hotel.

+ The breakfast was nice, the staff were helpful. The court garden very pleasant. It was close to the railway station and the coach station. Not too far from the city centre.

- The surrounding area looks a bit rough and run down, with litter all over the place and lots of rough sleepers.The whole area has clearly seen better days.

+ The hotel is in the city center, the receptionists are very nice.

+ La posizione

- Portare i bagagli dal parcheggio che si trovava a 400 m e portarli per le scale fini al 3 piano e pagare 30€ per parcheggiare

+ La puzza della stanza, la gentilezza del personale

+ I loved everything about this hotel. It is a modest establishment, not five star luxury. That said, I have rarely seen so much character and attention to detail in this category. From the moment you open the squeaky glass doors of the entrance hall and take the vintage elevator up to the glorious old world reception desk, you feel like you step into a living piece of history. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I could feel that everything is managed with a lot of love and care. Breakfast is excellent with many high quality pastries to choose from and coffee is made to order by a barista.

- My stay was too short.

+ ナポリからフェリーで来たため朝8時半頃の到着でしたが、荷物を預けたい旨お伝えすると、チェックイン時間のかなり前にも関わらず宿泊するお部屋を開けて下さりました。また、チェックアウト後も荷物を預かっていただき、スタッフの方も親切な方ばかりで大変満足なサービスでした。 中央駅にも近く、他クアットロ・カンティや大聖堂にも徒歩で行ける距離にあり立地がとても良かったです。 レトロを感じれるエレベーターやお部屋で、立地やサービスを考えるととてもお得に滞在できたと思います。

- シャワーの温度調節が気をつけないといけなかったことです。

+ Quite honestly, I chose this hotel because it was very close to the train station, had a 24-hour reception, and was inexpensive – I can confirm these advantages. It's a good place for a stopover or just a place to sleep a night, max two. Given our travel style (backpacking), it served this purpose perfectly. And from this perspective, it lacked nothing. It was clean, there were towels, hot water, and plenty of space. If you plan to stay longer, renting an apartment makes more sense - will be cheaper on a per-night-basis and much more comfortable.

- We didn't know how to turn on the air conditioning—it turned out it was controlled from the front desk. It's a shame this information wasn't provided upon check-in. Fortunately, all we had to do was ask for it to be turned on, and the room was warm. There was a high step down from the bathroom to the room, on which I managed to fall quite painfully (fortunately without consequences).
